Wow, nice job. Now that your shop is looking so impressive, and outfitted with all the best toys, you know that you have to raise your game to a comparable level ! No more falling off any 3 legged stools in this place. If that shop gets any better, I might want to live there.
I still got the stool. In fact, yesterday I fell off it so hard and whacked my shin into the pedal of the Garelli and drew blood. Thankfully, no camera rolling or else I would have been forced to show it 😜
Thumbs up as soon as I saw the sticker above your lathe, I've got another one from the set on my lathe. Great video too, by the way, exactly the project I need to do for exactly the same reason.
Oh man. I just spent the last 4 weeks doing a MAJOR makeover on her. New radiator and electric fans, new alternator and all new plumbing. Refinished the wood. Refinished the wheels. Polished the paint, fixed the dodgy convertible top, new shocks and struts front and back, and about 30 other little jobs. I started to film it, but then I realized that it was taking me about 4x longer to do the work with the camera, so I bailed. I do have some footage of some of it, so I may put out a little episode about what I do have and give a before and after. I bought that car for $3K, and I always say it was the best money I have ever spent. Daily driving an old jag is good for the soul!
Me too. I am dying to start on that bike, but I have to finish the Garelli and then do another quick bike before I'm going to allow myself to dig into it.
Thanks Bill. I was originally thinking about a treadmill motor, since I've seen that done a few times. But I had this laying around anyway, so I went for it.
Realy nice worke dude i and like how positiv you are but i have a tip for your next builds when you use the "Madenschrauben" (as we call them in Germany) to hold the pullys on a shaft dont use locktide its over time not good when the Motor gets warm the glue losens insted use two scruws behind each other this works like a jamnut It is mutch more save I hope you understand me and my shitty english and have a Realy nice das
I'm glad you are getting serious with your channel again David! Remember when I tried to get you to put a small Morini Franco S5 or S6 dirt bike engine, on that moped? Long time no speak, man!
Hi Dave, if there’s a way to send this question privately, I’m unaware how to….Question: You stated your wife was making your Garelli fuel tank stickers. I would pay you very well for a set. I see you have no new YT videos. I hope all is well. I have the coolest project using an old spare parts garelli tank. Hope you can respond. Miss your videos
@@DavidFixesHisShit Outstanding!!! Followup question, you do a lot of bearing replacement on your wheels. Is there a way to identify which bearing you need before you start taking your wheels apart. Also which brand of tires do you like?
Nice work Dave. Do you know how I can communicate with you? I'm rebuilding 3 Puchs right now and wanted to bounce some ideas off you. I don't see a way to DM you and don't want to post my email address in the comments. Thanks man. Keep up the good work!
best channel on youtube
Skin Mag. You are the best commenter on TH-cam!! Thanks so much for that!

You the man David, hope to see the garelli finished next week. Stay well and healthy.
Parts just came in this morning!! Woo hoo!
Very creative David. Good job!
Thank you very much!
Ok, just because this belt sander came out so brilliantly, I forgive you for yet another video without mopeds.... ;-)
Thanks! I appreciate your forbearance! 🤓
Another cracking video! I really enjoyed watching it, and you made a very good job of the sander.
Keep em coming davo
Thanks Steve!
Super excited for this video, you're the best!!!
You are too nice. Making me feel good on a Wednesday morning. Thanks!
@@DavidFixesHisShit come on let's see some more videos miss them from the uk
Dave, are you ever gonna show off the XJS you have lurking back there?

Looking forward to seeing the finished garelli, but really want to hear the story on that TSM!

A repurposed motor; you're the man David!!

Thanks for the advice!
Where did you buy the metal cutting hole saw? I could use a couple of those.

Oh I remember :-). Those engines are dang expensive!
@@DavidFixesHisShit I know! 😥 ... So imagine how cool it would be if you did it!? Put one on a moped... 😁😉😆

Nicely build! 😁
Thanks Jacob!
Enjoying all your videos David. Are you planning on rebuilding a minarelli v1 anytime soon?
Absolutely! I’ve been looking for a General 5-star for years. It is on my list!

Davo!! Where are you? Missing your vids
Steve! I'm back!
How much you charge to fix a moped
HA! I just do it for fun..
First! I just saw the Belt Sander Race on the Ocho!
Pepper Brooks!

You can send me an email to davidfixeshisshit@gmail.com. I will try to remember to check it 😜
That is a very loud motor.
Manly!!
The way you keep say plenum makes me think you mess around with airguns.
I did HVAC work during summer vacations in college. We would build those plenums on every install 🤓
Nice concept but the motor is loud, sorry.
Yes. Yes it is. No need to apologize :-)
if only you had a belt grinder to help you build your belt grinder! :D
I thought that at least 40 times during the build 😜
