You are entitled to your opinion. But Sheff has the scores and the All Irelands both club and county. DJ a beauty but only performed in 1 all Ireland versus an ageing Clare team and a withered Brian Lohan. Shefflin dragged Kilkenny over the line versus Offaly in 2000, Cork in 2003, Cork in 2006, not to mention the 09 and 12 final v Galway which he stated the first game was his best performace in a Kk shirt. GOAT hands down
What I absolutely love about hurling is that it's the type of sport where every ounce of training, commitment and exertion that a team puts into preseason, shines when it's on. Kilkenny, Cork, Tipp, Galway are the true components of this. These past couple of years, the " lesser " teams have started to cotton on that a campaign is 12 months of grueling training, especially Waterford, and it's showing. But Kilkenny, are Kilkenny. Beautiful to watch, style, charisma and I'm going with Shef for the true component of a Kilkenny warrior of the stick. DJ has skill, of that there is zero doubt, but Henry has grit and can call up reserves that not a lot of people have. Everyone is great when it's going well, but people like Henry have the ability to turn a bad game around and that's Henry's true strength.
Did he score from play that day ?maybe one point in the first half. I remember he fell on his arse in the second half. He was MOM v Waterford in the semi after nearly losing his eye in the q final replay v Clare a fortnight previous
@@Bock75 Well it is hard to compare in the end...pity Horgan did not have great Cork teams to bring him into greater prominence...he deserves a few all Ireland medals...I'm not sure has he any? Also I think the management might have used him more on the half forward line...but they knew best no doubt .( A locked down hurling expert from Longford!!)
Thanks Conor....the king playing the game of the gods.
I’ve played hurling my whole life and never even seen an All Ireland medal. Henry just a special special player.
Greatest player I ever seen and a top fella to as humble as they come. Probably should have played another year but not his doing.
He s has 10
the king has 10 on the field of play not a mere 9
The goat.

Henry has 10 all stars not 11 but I still would pick DJ Carey as the greatest of all time

How come they didn't show 2004 when cork beat them

A great player but the greatest player that I ever saw play was John Fenton of Cork
Charlie Bridges he was only a fancy dan hurler.
All these stats are fucking wrong
Patrick Horgan best hurler ever
Horgan wudnt lace the Kings boots... Boiiii
Him or christy ring or do Carey. But probably him
Keher the best..I never saw Ring in his prime.
@@tomgreene6579 ya keher was an unreal hurler. But in the last 20 years it's definitely hoggy
