Man this is one kick-ass song. I think some music producers just don't understand what pleasure it is to listen to a song with great bass that's not buried in the mix.
This is absolutely true
The best Djent mixes I have heard don't have lots of bass frequencies in the guitar tone, but they have loud volumes for the bass, not too much to drown out the rest of a band.
This is why Mudvayne is ruined for me: Ryan Martinie has such catchy funk riffs which are just so quiet it's depressing.
This is why I find much more pleasure in jam bands and fusion style music. They all do what is the best for everyone in the band and the listeners
Check out Seventh Wonder if you like prog. The bassist is the founding member of the band and you get all the goodness.

Hello Charles all the way from North Carolina. I just wanted to say that i really enjoyed that tune that you guys just played and I've also been playing the guitar since about 1966 and I happen to know a little about how much practice you've gotta be ready, willing, and able to put a LOT of practice in to it to play that good and there's no if's and's or but's about it!!
