i've never had a good way of articulating this thought but like his horn & string writing just has such a catchy style to it, maybe its just cuz their written with like bass guitar-level of groove and pocket feel, but like man there's always some cool chord and melody choices that i can distinctly recognize as a louis cole sound

a bit very alright!!! As a 62 year ld who grew up with the Jazz Fusion bands of the '70s and '80s, I started getting depressed a few years ago when my heros started dying of old age. Folks like Louis give me hope for the future. Great stuff indeed!

Went to the LC & MO gig in Utrecht last year. Best concert of my life. Walking back to the hotel, I bought a ticket for the next night in Amsterdam. So damn good man
I think that's just because of how difficult it is to make it to the Metropole Orkest. They are the best of the best, and it probably takes decades to get good enough to make it.

Can I point out that I don't remember ever seeing musicians from a classical orchestra move to the rythm in their chairs, hell, even the conductor is dancing ! I've been listening to this track every morning as soon as I wake up for the last week, and it gets me in a good mood for the whole day !

If Cole collabed with someone capable of doing that sound... That black church sound plus whatever Cole and crew live and breathe... I tremble in hopes of such a thing happening.

People enjoy thier entertaining mostly at home these days, if you got one. seventies kid here, but as long as there is music and great art, this corpse is going to stay young at heart.
