Once again, sorry for the lack of videos on my channel. I'm planning to move to another country at the end of October, so I don't have much time for games. Hopefully, I'll get to a more regular shedule soon.
I liked this game a lot - the pixel art is very pretty and the story and the world are quite detailed and intruiging. The combat is not so good. It doesn't feel balanced. On one hand - the enemies and the bosses mostly have very simple attack patterns and you have a super long dodge invincibility. But on the other hand, your character has only a little bit of health (you can sometimes die from 2 quick hits), and med-kits are rare. The skill tree has some good abilities for you to learn, but it doesn't feel like they change much. With the true ending, it seems there is a possibility for the sequel, so maybe the devs will improve the gameplay aspect of the next game. - เกม

I wish there was a lore video on this game. The world and the insane boss designs are very cool and disturbing.
This game was pretty good, I don't regret the purchase. Bunch of small issues not worth mentioning, overall it's exactly what you might expect from the entry in this genre. Not a whole lot to set it apart from the pack, but what's there is executed well enough that it's worth the price.
Definitely good for a weekend of fun. Was pleasantly surprised.
I wonder how much time do you grind to make these perfect play videos ? Would surely take whole days for me !!
Surprisingly, There is no light do not demand a lot of grinding, even for casuals, to beat bosses hitless.

Nice boss Rush, as always. I recommend you a Metroidvania called Cathedral and another one called Haiku the robot. I think they are both underrated

i personally thought haiku wasn't really that good, had too many elements similar to hollow knight for my tastes, i tried to like it, hell i 100%'d it, but it just doesn't have that spark that makes it unique in most places, in the places it does its really nice but its few and far between.
@@edgybubblegum6404 Yeah It dissapointed me a bit compared to the stuff l saw in the kickstarter campaigne, but It remains a good Metroidvania. I especially liked the deepnest robotic area, and the bosses were too similar among them.

There’s an old Metroidvania game called Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Its story is kinda of short but can you try making a no-damage run on the bosses without any upgrades or so? I kinda like to see that happen.

How do you get to the Champion bosses, like Champion Gabriel for example? I havent found any of the 4 great runes (i think they are runes..?) and at new moon I haven't seen any mark to start the fight. Do I get to fight him later? maybe like revisit the village after i have defeated more bosses?

18:11 after seeing this combat im convinced that im gonna love this game, i love games like this that pack a punch, fast paced and fluid when it comes to fighting, i can now why this is said to be Hades + Blasphemous, Hades more on the combat and the camera’s point of view, blasphemous for its gritty gloomy dark style and design.

You need to take quest from solar corps captain at the central station and then talk to the elder of the lunar order village. This will trigger the Gabriel fight.

Dash has I-Frames. Loads of games already did the idea.
Edit: I now see what you mean, but by design the attack could still be in its "Start-up" frames, meaning it has no hitbox just yet. I'll take a look at a playthrough real quick on someone who has gotten hit by the attack and do a side-by-side comparison.
Following up my last reply; Found a playthrough, while they were fighting Tainted, they did get hit by the charge move, went through it pause by pause (because I'm on mobile) and they too also stood in the attack for a few frames before the hit registered, so it might have a smaller hitbox then what is depicted.

Off topic--why is it seem to be a trend with hack n slash games (e.g. There is no Light, Blasphemous, Dark Devotion, maybe Elden Ring) the authors have a pretentious religion as 'the bad guy', but simultaneously give a pretentious, shallow critique of it? Seriously, it is like 'strawman evil religion, kill it!' has been a recent trend. I'd give more respect if, you know, the designers actually set down the religious beliefs they want to critique, in-game, rather than 'this god or religion is tyrannical and BAD.' Well, why?

Alpha Omega, isn't that the worst boss ever... Seriously this is stunningly mediocre to say the least, goddamnit!
As with most modern games of this sort, the true horror on display are the game's atrocious attempts at humor and wit. And of course, it lacks the stones to actually let the player finish off the overly-talky manipulator who has been leading them by the nose the entire time, which at least would have been kinda cathartic.
Always room for a sequel where Samedi gets his just desserts.
