    If you really listen, his “gibberish” makes perfect sense. In his best way, he is explaining that he suspects that his mother used LSD. He confronted his mother and accused her of taking the drug while pregnant with him but she denied it. He is also traumatized by the fact that his sister may not be his father’s child, which implies a family scandal if she’s his half sister. His sister also hated him and she had “red hair like the man up the street”, not like his dad’s hair. Furthermore he wonders where his strong addiction came from. He blames his mom for his addiction, which got worse while in Maryland. Again, you just have to listen...

    Here's what I heard and my interpretation.
    He grew up in Inglewood, California. He had both of his parents in his life, but his childhood was kind of messed up. He says he "seems" to have an older half-sister. He thinks his mother cheated on his father before he was born with "a red headed guy from the neighborhood", resulting in the sister. "In 1968 a nurse told" Steven's mother that his sister has a "rare blood type", a characteristic that is inherited from mother and father. She probably had a blood type that was impossible or very unlikely with his mother and father as the real parents. This leads to the assumption of infidelity. He said it "seems" that he has an older half-sister, so I take that to mean his mother denied the affair or it wasn't 100% certain that the blood type couldn't have been from his parents. He also said "I hate to say this, but she hated me."
    Then the LSD questions start and Steven has another story that he can't seem to fully articulate. He says he "had an amazing psychedelic(?) trip(maybe dream here?) when he was in Maryland, of all places." He also describes event later: "In Maryland I had, I say, this wack(?) amazing dream, and it was so frickin' twisted." He says, "I accused my mother of taking LSD before I was born" When asked how long he has been using LSD he says, "I had this dream, as bizarre as it was, I thought my mother had taken LSD (unsure here, wack?)." Then he says she said no. He get frustrated when the interviewer wants to move on and says "let me finish".
    Look at this guy though. He's got the suit coat, the Hurley tee, vans. Flashes the metal sign on the way out. He has a style and a personality under there. He probably needs social, medical, and emotional help from trained professionals. Just like damn near ever other person living in a tent on the side of America's main streets. Until we stop writing these people off like crazy lost souls and start treating them like members of our own families the problem will only continue to get worse.
    I can't believe I spent as much time as I did going over this video. I rarely even comment on videos, but something about this one and the comments section really made me want to dig deeper here. Steven is a person, not too different from you and me really. He clearly has some things that he would like to get out and can't be heard. I can't imagine how that must feel.

    I did a lot of acid. Learned a lot. Unfortunately, none of these lessons were particularly helpful in the area of fitting in with society. So I got to a point where I had to ask myself why I'm taking a drug that lets me clearly see the absurdity of all aspects of life, namely the work force and innumerable social conventions. I feel like whatever wisdom I got from it was outweighed by developing a distaste for mainstream society, which frankly, has not been helpful.

      @@barry.anderberg I didn't say everything is absurd, I just said acid let me see all the absurd aspects of life. This is probably a bad example, but without acid in your head, the idea of applying for a job, interviewing, and providing a clean urine sample might seem normal enough. On acid, it's preposterous--the idea that before you exchange your time for money, this person needs to run an analysis on your urine. Some things that pass for being normal will strike you as being insane on acid.

Yes it can very much so even more so monitored by someone professional. What I'm saying is it has the potential to go bad after the trip is over. When it goes bad it's really fucking bad. It can be very damaging and people don't really know about this side of lsd.

      @P E R S P E C T I V E when the trips done. It can change your brain. Look up hppd it's a rare disorder that in my case leaves me seeing visuals even when im sober and it doesn't go away. Some people it goes away after a few years, others it never goes away... if you're someone whos prone to mental illness genetically
      Or you're just not in a good place when you have that trip. After THE trip that illness can start to come out. Depending on how the trip went. This is all individual ofc. The trip is done BUT once you go into that psychedelic world and open your mind up it can definitely change your life. I'm guessing you haven't tripped before because you'd already know that

Per person, drug use may alleviate and ameliorate, moderate and mediate, or exacerbate, self-medication is a VERY big part of homeless crisis, unfortunately laborers or kids of laborers who end up homeless, generally lack a comprehensive pharmacological knowledge, due in part to fictional fear (moralising has broached)

      I agree with this, that and it seems like hes having "thought loops" except hes trying to speak them - hence why hes constantly repeating himself. Not everyone has thought loops but I've experienced it; not to this extent obviously but high enough doses over that long period of time could probably cause this on someone who's affected differently by LSD or someone who has a form of Tourettes.

    • @UsuallyCully
      @UsuallyCully 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @Homa Simpson Psychedelics are mostly leastly toxic. Meth is not LSD. Meth has been shown to cause psychosis, much more so than LSD or any psychedelic.

    • @UsuallyCully
      @UsuallyCully 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @Homa Simpson Way easier to abuse meth than to abuse psychedelics, that's the main difference. And hey, you even OD on caffeine, as you said, that is true for all substances, even water in excess is bad.
      What I am saying is you are most likely to be healed by psychedelics than by smoking meth. I've done meth once and no, it's not like tripping. It's also compulsive as fuck. I still wanted the 3rd day in. No psych has done that to me. I would like to know if your other friends have also tried other hard drugs, because that makes a psychotic break from psychedelics more possible. Generally healthy people do come back to reality, I have experienced psychedelic overdose first hand and I know it's not pretty. But hey, what do you expect when you take more than 500 UG of acid and 100's of MG's of DMT at a time? First of all, that's immature and unresponsible.
      My main point is: 1.-People with mental illness should avoid ALL drugs.
      2.-Meth is not a psychedelic.
      3.-ANY overdose is dangerous
      4.-Psychedelics should not be considered in the same categories of drugs such as meth. They are way less dangerous and way more healing.
      I simply won't accept the claim you make about meth and psychedelics being equally as dangerous. Psychedelics have given so much more than just a high.

    • @UsuallyCully
      @UsuallyCully 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Science tells us there is no evidence psychedelics cause psychosis or schizophrenia unless you are too young for them or are predisposed genetically. I agree with you, only up to certain parts. It CAN be dangerous, but it's not physically dangerous. The dangers come mentally (Not physically in the brain, supposing your brain is developed...). Someone can undergo what is called PTSD from psychedelic trips if they are not prepared and that trauma can seriously fuck them up. Not denying that.
      But you want to make me think like it's going to cause some sort of disease or madness within itself and I don't think that is the case unless you OD hard and abuse it like Syd Barret (Yeah, thank you for putting a guy who took 1000's of UG's of acid every goddamn day. It really shows you the responsibility I'm advocating for.) I have a friend who is a Shaman, he does healing rituals with Ayahuasca, Yopo, Mushrooms, Bufo, and more. He's been in dozens if not hundreds of sessions and not once has he witnessed someone go through a psychotic break. Saying that tripping is more dangerous than meth, that's way too far of a stretch. Meth would have destroyed me and it never showed me the beauty of life. Mushrooms had made me appreciate my life and it was the reset I needed to take more positive and loving actions. I would prefer mushrooms every day of the week rather than a compound that has destroyed millions of lives. Also, meth is neurotoxic. You must know this, right? Psychedelics aren't, they even promote new neurons to grow and connect. "More dangerous" my bass man!

    • @UsuallyCully
      @UsuallyCully 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Homa Simpson You are describing my old self. I used to go overboard with the DMT. I am no stranger to OD. It's wrong, it's awful. The time I overdosed on DMT I thought I ruined my brain for that moment too. I stopped breathing for like 10 minutes completely. One time I came back and my right side of the brain was freaking out, I was seeing everything trippy in my right eye but everything ok on the left. My friends told me I looked like shit and I felt like shit. There were lessons there but it just wasn't ok. And again, what do you expect when you snort like 150 MG of DMT and smoke like 90 MG or more. I´ve outgrown that. The last time I took LSD was half a hit of good 250 ug acid, I had a bad trip and thought I was going to go insane. Also got the worst headache ever. Your concerns are legitimate. I got scared shitless. I've learned to respect. In no way was I advocating for anything else but responsible and healing use of psychedelics. I just stick with mushies and I don't ever plan to go above 5 grams and even that is stretching it. It's not like I want to do it frequently as well.
      Correct me if I'm wrong dude, please, I would appreciate it; Your friends either abused hard drugs like meth, heroin or crack in the past, had schizophrenic genetics, had a mental illness, took wayyyy too big of a dose, were already mentally unstable, became traumatic about the experience or were under 25 years of age. Am I wrong to assume any of these?

    • @obsidianman50
      @obsidianman50 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Homa Simpson Psychedelics are not physically dangerous though, they literally are not. I agree though that in terms of the actual induced altered consciousness given by psychedelics has more potential to be dangerous than something like Meth. I have personally experienced psychosis on LSD because I took too much (not knowing the dose of the tabs) and ended up handcuffed at a police station even though I started the trip on the side of a mountain 1 hours drive from the nearest town. But you cannot die from overdosing psychedelics and when people say psychedelics are safe, they mean that no one has ever died from intoxication, because psychedelics are by nature, not toxic chemicals.
      I say this respectfully in regards to your friends who unfortunately suffer with psychiatric illness as a supposed result of psychedelic use, but I am sceptical, I am a medical student doing a medicinal chemistry degree and a bachelor of medicine and will specialise in psychiatry when I am older, I do have educated knowledge of this subject, however, I totally concede that I am just a student and not a qualified doctor or scientist, therefore, nothing I say is factual but rather my somewhat educated opinion.
      But I do think that psychedelics can't have caused your friend's psychiatric issues without other drug use or underlying conditions. Psychotic disorders, Schizophrenia and the many subsets of schizophrenia are a result of dopamine dysfunction in the brain, psychedelics are serotonergic drugs that mimic serotonin at specific receptors and the nature of the serotonin receptors is that they can rapidly adjust and regenerate/destroy themselves. Dopaminergic receptors don't though and that is why long binges of stimulants or large doses can cause psychosis as well. It is also why using dopaminergic drugs can permanently damage the sensitivity of dopamine receptors.
      If someone is going to go schizophrenic or develop symptoms of psychotic disorders then they WILL be predisposed to it because of the placement and function of dopamine receptors in the brain and their associated brain regions that don't function properly causing symptoms, and I mean their brain will technically be physically shaped different and drugs can easily push the predisposed brain past the threshold so that dopaminergic neuron dysfunction really locks in. This can happen with psychedelics because as a result of very strong serotonergic effects there is a lot of indirect dopamine activity (what can cause temporary psychotic episodes during a trip) and it is never good for anyone with major psychiatric issues to take powerful psychological drugs.

    Wow, thats crazy. My experience has been totally different. I've only used LSD for a couple of times and its always been a pretty good experience. I have been extremely depressed for as long as I can remember and I used to be a cutter. I had been suffering from nightmares and sleep paralysis for every night for many months but after I tried it the first time it was gone. I could finally have a good night sleep. I dont remember the last time I had a nightmare. Generally it has helped me to be a happier person. I have started to get back in touch with my religion too. But again, thats just my experience. Some of my friends have had bad experiences and really gotten panic attacks. Its sad to see it but honestly i get it. When you're tripping i think you just kinda have to let yourself go with the flow and just enjoy yourself. Thats not easy for some people especially if they have some really harsh stuff going on in their lives.

This is misleading as this man is not simply an LSD user.. He's clearly a man with a traumatic past who may also have genetic predispositions which have lead him to this point.. Ones biology and genetics interact with one's environment.. This is not simply LSD effects.. This is really sad tho 😔😔

You have no idea the beneficial effects and properties these sacred "drugs" could have on the spiritual sike. Psilocybin decreases anxiety levels, takes people out of depression, gives you a clearer cognitive state with lower doses and can even bring people out of addiction, easier than you think. I have to first comment on the way everyone has kept things pretty much respectable in this entire comment section, when this guy makes it easy to just fry him if the more despicable people wanted to. I'm glad to see the range of observations and when people give their honest on the observations while keeping human empathy at the forefront of it all, it's something i feel is worth mentioning to everyone here. With that said, i must say this makes me truly feel like he is, first above all else, suffering from deep psychological issues, most likely inherent since early childhood and this is what leaving a person to their own devices for an entire lifetime and ZERO chances at true treatment in the field of mental health ( or medicine in general,I would wager without question) I would furthermore bet that his only experiences and exposures at anything of the mental health variety would have solely been involuntary committing, forced periods in some sanatorium likely of the older sort and thus a real life nightmare. His only ideas of "help" are sure to be the most unpleasant and awful things when he looks back on them. And this is the main ingredient in a formula guaranteed to make getting real help an almost impossible endeavor. Thats the basis for the second major factor in his state, as pertaining to him in this interview...add the second destructive part to his already broken composure- LSD (yes, he very much ALSO is exhibiting signs of the less pleasant parts of an lsd experience) and Its truly evident to anyone who has had legitimate experience in the substance that there is generally a period, prior to the blissful "deep touch with your own humanity" euphoria, when one has some.work to do. Confusion, some fear and self introspection of the not so positive kind, and given the situation - maybe even some lack in proper speech and motor functions- which all lign up with him and how he is CLEARLY a person with the pre disposition to have MORE negative LSD experiences 6than good, warm and fuzzy ones. He likely is conducting this interview at the part where he is battling the "coming on" part, and what is by some called "earning IT". Sad)y, this interviewer has little knowledge of the fact that it he wanted a true picture of an LSD user.. he should Have not been so impatient nor cut the thing off before the stuff even had worked its true effect. Not that he chose the ideal candidate to be a proper "personality " representative of the title "LSD User " The Proper Title to this should have been "Lifelong schizophrenic sufferer takes psychedelics and struggles greatly as it begins to kick in". Sad and yet what would anyone think would have happened... the choice of subject to substance is about the equivalent of picking alcoholic to test drive a new racecar but only judging the test it. Not very thought out..nor thoughtful.

    His brain is definitely fried, he's stuck in a forever trip. He's in the "cycle" of thinking the same thoughts over and over like on acid. He's literally mentally insane, I would say the definition of insanity is you don't even remember the last thought you just thought of but keep thinking it over and over again as if its a new thought. Acid is literally insanity on a tab, making you lose yourself, your ego. As a frequent LSD user I still see walls and trippy zooming in and out, I couldn't imagine what he's seeing. Please note that an average dose of LSD doesn’t make you like this guy. No where near it actually. There’s definitely other issues at play here.
    Edit: like someone below said, it can be bad for people with serious underlying mental health issues like schizophrenia. if your family has a history of that, don’t take it. but unless you take like 100 tabs, then you’re fine.

      That's where your wrong. A standard dose of lsd has the potential to go wrong with the wrong person. I.e if you have a history of mental illness like schizophrenia for example it can actually bring the illness out. My experiences can say so themselves. Lsd isn't a joke and has the potential to be dangerous. Like all psychs be cautious have a good set and setting

      @@davechristian7543 real LSD is definitely still around. Clearly you don't trip. So you have no clue. Also this dude obviously does other drugs than lsd, maybe lsd contributed to his current state but you can't abuse lsd like other drugs you build immediate tolerance. He likely uses harder drugs like alcohol or meth which have exacerbated a pre-existing condition which for whatever reason he is attributing to lsd.

      @@davechristian7543 Real LSD is still out and about, there's a few organizations that test pills/blotters in a lab and posts/sends you the results. One is called Energy Control based out of Spain and another is Ecstasy Data based in the US, and both regularly test and report real LSD sent to them.
      That and 1p-LSD is easily available as a research chemical and gets hydrolyzed into regular LSD in the body, the two drugs are virtually indistinguishable because of this. L in the 60s was stronger but it's not extinct by any means.

      Jennifer Parker Actually there are many group homes, available to people of any income amount, including those on medicaid. The problem is they need social workers to help them through the process of getting this set up. These social workers are available, but these mentally ill persons must follow up on their appts. and on taking their medications in order to make this happen.

      exactly. this guy is perfection for a mental hospital. the work of a mental physician, the art even, is to deal with guys like that. when you see a video like this you could realise how serious psychiatry is. someone depressing or things like that is nothing compare to having to deal with people like that. you feel at any moment the guys is full of unconstructed/not managed emotions. Not like meths addicts crying for nothing or other kind of drug addicts. This guy have a mental disease, and really, really, should consult psychiatry or even being taking care by some fancy private clinics.

    I took acid alot when I was young but took a bad hit on December 9th 1987. I wqs so scared and the only thing that kept running through my mind was my fathers voice saying "One of these days one of these assholes are going to give you something that will cook your mind and you will never come back. I started tripping on it like all the other times. It came on me like 3 different waves from left, right, and above. Usually I could shake my head and the waves would stop. This time everything became distorted and colors became very vivid. I stopped my car on the side of the road and my equalizer with the dancing lights scared the hell out of me. I left my car running and went into the woods. I remember the sky breathing and the trees turning into the trees like on the wizard of oz with there ugly faces screaming at me. All of this was real to me and at the time I was 16 years old. The sky breathing and waves from side to side I could blow out and sound would come out of my mouth but I could see it. Then I remember hugging a tree and looking over and seeing my gravestone. It had my name, date of birth, and my date of death being that day. I did not know the date that day but read it on the stone. It had to be there in my subconcince mind because I will never forget it. After 16 hours I came out of the woods and remember looking into a gas station mirror and the way my face was geeked the slobbers were dried on my face where they had ran down all day. It took me about 10 or so years to recover from that and only after 20 years did I feel that I would not have flashbacks from it. LSD is no joke and someone who thinks they can get away with not having a bad trip remember that the people that put it out on the streets could very easily overdose you with it. I probably took 300 or 400 micrograms perhaps more or perhaps less but can you tell ? It takes 1000 micrograms to equal 1 millagram. Thats super small and I really dont think the guys making it care except to say when they make a bathtub batch someones gotta be the guina pig. They always test it on someone to see. This guy is a perfect example of a bad hit. Buyer beware cause there is no such thing as a safe hit. Even in a sheet of 100 hits there could be hotspots. If you think they give a shit about cooking you remember that they sell shit that kills people everyday. In the time it took to read this more than one person has died from an overdose. Godspeed to you all.
    P.S. I still fear a flashback and it has been 33 years ago.

      I can completely relate to this and I hope you're doing well today. The first and last time I took acid was when I was 15 7 years ago and it turned my brain inside out. I never knew the dosage all I was told was that it was a "micro tab". I felt a bit funny for 2 hours then fell into a chronic thought loop and forgot who I was and how to act or even think like a normal person. I had to leave my friends upstairs and remember pacing the kitchen completely out my mind. For an entire year after I was in a constant derealisation state. It took years after for the effects to slowly stop affecting me so bad but they never completely went away I just learnt how to deal with it better. I still suffer from derealisation and to this day I still fear that feeling of losing my mind again. Once you know where your mind can go and how far it can bend and break you never look back from that. I thought I'd feel crazy forever. I still struggle with believing everything around me is real.

      @@keshamccormack8328 another thing I remember for years afterwards was being scared at parties that someone would drop something on me. Always held my thumb over my bottle of beer and carry it with me. Also not eating anything either. Mine was purple microdot and later on I found out that there were 2 hits this guy got from the dealer. The other guy that took the other hit jumped off a building and died from internal damage a few days later. There was bad doses going around the town I learned later. Afew people died taking it. This was Port Huron Michigan in late 87 to early 1988. They busted a guy and he got a life sentence. A friend of mine overdosed and told on him. I never snitched on anyone in my life but I would rat on a heroin dealer given the chance. Lost too many people close to me. Acid dealers need to test there own supply first. Heroin addicts sometimes sell it to get there fix but the ones that sell it and do not use it need to be removed from the free world for a long long time. Godspeed to you and I hope you can get over your trauma. I still have trouble with anxiety but thank God we are not like that guy.
