Normani's album Dopamine normani.lnk.to/dopamine
Normani did the dang thing. Was the rollout great not really but I still love the album. She really is very strong when she does Pop. I hope she moves into that. But 10s across the board for me!
I want, I want, I want, I wished, dang poor Normani just can't please you for ish and she's working hard asf 🛑 being so hard on her..
7/10 indeed.....I would give her a 4.5. The album lacks direction. I would give her flowers for making an album, but am not impressed at all. Hate my comment or like it, She needed more rhythmic songs to make her album pop out differently even if RCA did not do their part well...... She is not attentive to her inspiration.
EP's and Albums are very very much rampant now, so Normani should have tried not to pick the songs she like but to rather pick the songs that would make her different from her grade level.
But its Normani, lets show some love......and stream the album
You're saying the album is "very solid" but yet you give it a 7 out of 10. That is a C average. You're not making sense in your review. Make it make sense. I give it a C too but I won't say the album is solid. It was not worth the wait at all. It's not RCA's fault it's not doing well. The album just don't have the wow factor to justify the long wait...
Waves would have been a great addition to the album.
I pray whoever eyes see this comment God gives you the strength to over come every battle you're facing ❤✨️
Thank you, Same to you!💯💯💯
Thank you❤
Thank you and the same for you.❤
I needed this sis, thank u!!!🙏🏾
Thank you means a lot ❤
RCA just sucks. They fumbled the ball with Tinashe and they’re doing the same with Normani. RCA just needs to go.
Don't forget Doja was pm shelved by them before she dropped 'Moo' for funsies. The fact that they could fumble both Tinashe and Doja is very telling to me that they dgaf about music as a label probably should...
@@aquarius489rca is is formally CBS records if you look at the history of CBS records they have always dropped the ball on black artists
Maybe because no one cares about Normani?
@@Jacobeeez haha ok!
They so trash Doja and SZA took 50 years to blow up
Brandy actually did the backgrounds and harmonies on Insomnia. She’s also credited as a writer on the song.
Oh shit that explains it and make sense why its the best song on the album.

I knew it!
I'm incredibly proud of Normani. Reflecting on the past six years, it’s clear her journey has been anything but easy. She faced isolation, racism, family health scares, destructive criticism, and self-doubt, among other challenges. Despite the cards on the table, she has remained headstrong. Normani's story is a powerful testament to the resilience of hard work and the importance of not letting critics dictate your path and your health. This is truly her moment, and I’m here for it! Congratulations to her! She even inspired me to continue my art journey! Keep pushing and your success will speak for itself! Same goes for Tinashe!
Beautiful comment! I agree! 💯
HEY FRIEND!!!! And yessss you hit the nail on the head.
@@quincyspov1909 Good to see you!! Thanks for the love. ❤️
What racism? She faced no racism.
@@sabrinarodrigues629 Lets not be dumb and ignorant
Tinashe DESERVES THIS! She’s been so consistent releasing music and engaging with fans. REALLY REALLY DESERVED. Her catalog of music is actually really good.
I am so here for it! Before she was with RCA her music was 🔥 That Blackwater and Reverie was my shit! RCA mishandled her as an artist. Now that she’s back independent she is on 🔥 again. She is underrated and deserves every bit of this.
Yeah she's incredible
After SEVEN YEARS… all our lives we had to fight and this album is out WE’RE FREE… and tinashe getting her 1st solo chart entry after all these YEARS?! Freedom everywhere. Normashe ❤️
Normashe ❤
So Too on didn’t hit the billboard charts? That song was everywhere.

I love that Empressive stayyyys reviewing the R&B girls projects👏🏾
Me 2, she puts me on ❤
One of the few things I can agree with her on. Her music recommendation hasn’t missed for me yet. She got taste for sure
Yesssss she loves the R&B girls. 👏🏾♥️
I do too. It's one of the best things about empressive channel. I love her reviews and that she goes hard for others who aren't mainstream.
Normani’s career gives me anxiety like she has potential and the talent. It’s just the team behind her and the history. Ahhhh and I’m tired of feeling like she just made it or she just hit the deadline other than it is flowing the VMAs the singles the promos it’s like she deserves better
Yes!!! She needs a better team. I also think she needs to move towards pop.
@@RomeonPebbles Didn't she just get a new team a year or two ago?
@@RomeonPebblesshe did get a better team. If she was still with Brandon, she’d probably never have her album out.
@@realfan375
She has new management, but I don't know who's in charge of marketing.
@RomeonPebbles she does r&b pop. Hopefully she'll have more uptempo on the next album
Normani delivered. I was kinda scared about this album because of the singles released, but damn her album is fire. She is so good!
Duck you mean? The singles are great and represent the album really well
@@hoematica5841 i did not enjoy it as much at first. But when I listened to the album track by track, I get to love them. The album is so cohesive.
Nah he had it right her singles are always forgettable and mediocre. They made a lot of people scared for how the album would come out.
@@MorganRimming 💯🎯
She not good she great u need to edit that word
Tinashe was HUGE as an underground artist. That music is unmatched and I still listen her old stuff. When she tried the label route her sound got whitewashed. Either way I always root for Tinashe and love her grind 🔥🔥🔥
She’s mocking Black people Black women. The nightrider comment on social media last year. Tragic mulatto issues. She’s blamed Black America before for the lack of success of her career. And it was her team. Making her lick toilets in editorial.
True! Shes alt rnb icon.
Yup produced all her old shit herself too. She’s in her own lane.
Agreed. I still listen to her old hits from 2011-2013 that she produced herself. Ecstasy is my shit. I was never interested in her label stuff
Her first album and eps are my fave. Stopped listening when she became mainstream. Shes very talented. Makes her own beats n writes her own songs
I'm glad the Girlies are getting their moment to SHINE! Normani & Tinashe! 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Brandy is doing the background vocals and harmonizing with Normani on the song Insomnia … also Victoria Monet wrote the record. It’s a meeting of three genius minds.
Wow love this!!
Nightride by Tinashe is one of my favorite albums of all time no joke. Not one skip on there. Her mixtapes are TOP TIER. nobody does it like her, and her core fan base knows it! Proud of her, but she’s ALWAYS BEEEEEN that girl 🧡 and will continue even after this hype.
She really is
Yessss! Lucid Dreaming, Soul Glitch, and Spacetime are my favorites from that album. ❤️🔥

I remember when Tinashe first came out. I’m glad that she’s finally being recognized alongside Victoria Monet. Tinashe’s songs with Kaytranada are fire.
The transition from Insomnia to Candy Paint was seamless. The production is stellar!

If the album doesn't do well it's not Normani's fault, it's all RCA!
Right! Blame rca instead of the artist making the music. If her album flos, which it will, she needs to just stick to dancing. And her fans need to accept it
@@AnAdorableWombat1lol comments like this are funny to me. Don't we know by now that labels are responsible for promotion and budget? I can always tell the difference between critique and nastiness. "Stick to dancing" - sounds like you were already harbouring dislike for her.

Tantrums by Normani ft James Blake is a hit. The production on dopamine is top tier though. I'm so happy Tinashe is getting her shine, she's so talented. I wish all the ladies continued success.
Thank you for the like Empressive. I also want to say a big thank you to you for always putting these talented but sometimes underrated artists on. You've introduced me to their music. I also noticed that most of them experience a boost or career growth after You've talked about them and their musical artistry. God bless

I've been a fan of Normani since fifth harmony and I waited for this album for YEARS! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!! I'm so proud of Normani as a fan and music lover, she put her all in this album. Such a great debut album!! 🖤🔥🔥🔥
Save Room is one of Tinashe best videos and songs, but folks like dumbed down music that promotes sex. I'm not surprised
Save Room For Us has been my favorite Tinashe song since it released
She's a phenomenal artist with a rich and varied catalogue. Hopefully this leads to a general resurgence for her older albums because Songs For You is a fantastic body of work
I still play tinashae ooh la la , and feelings like it just came out today. She got some bops
Amen
Normani's album is really good. I'm so proud. Been following her since 5H days and Ive been so anxious for her debut. I do agree with you when you said she needed to add something a little more poppy/uptempo. I also was waiting for at least one song when she really took it there vocally. I mean I know she's not a "bring the house down" type of vocalist, but she does have range, and I was waiting for that one song that showed it. Nonetheless, very solid album and I WILL be at the tour.
I've been a Tinashe Stan. I proud she stayed true. Her resilience navigating an industry that I imagine must have made things difficult for her for choosing herself and her artistic truth is commendable. She is that bxch!
yeah because the girls that worked hard to get where they are at, actually have talent and are really really good, the ones that pop out from nowhere, some are talented but majority are not, and I am so happy for these girls, true story of staying consistent and never giving up regardless of any circumstance, their time is now! 🎉
It’s because they have the drive and passion for music. You can tell one has it and when someone is just doing it for a check
Yes exactly! That just shows where this generation is at right now. Sadly a lot of ppl don't take music seriously anymore and just do whatever to be at that "level"
@@zurimariejordan7706that’s why the artists I listen to (Chloe x Halle, Kehlani, coco jones, Victoria Monet, Samara Joy, etc) I can tell they studied and learned from the greats. Those that don’t (Ice spice for example) fall off
Both my girls are grinding and their hard work is paying off! Thank you Empressive for continuing to shine the spotlight on Normani and Tinashe.
Tinashe is grossly underated, and she's been grinding a while. I think if her and Dawn Ric'hard did something together, it would be really dope!

I loved that tinashe is still doing her thing! I love normani's album....all yours, distance, lights on, still... so many bops. Solid work. Proud of our girl it only took forever 😅 but we got it
Tinashe done stayed grinding. From “2 on” through to “Company,” my personal fave, through this new moment she’s having.
What a joy to see. And I have always loved your unabashed support Empressive; you mention her any and every chance you get. One of the things I respect most about your brand: when you ride you ride or die.
Company should go viral next
Tinashe deserves so much better because she’s TALENTED ASF
I love your ears. I somwhat agree with your "Dopamine' review. I feel that the album is what Normani wanted. To me, that shows the power of a superstar. Her project. Her way. The industry sucks and has lost its notions on what true artistry is all about. A loyal fan will stand by the artist, allowing them to grow, sore and entertain us.
