In the early 2000’s they had large curtains in warehouses to make two rooms of audio at raves. Those curtains were heavy and thick… but worked very well to separate two sound systems playing at full volume with minimal bleed from each side, indoors. Interested to see application costs.
I’m positively cautious. It’s amazing and something I would love in my apartment. Walls and ceilings are thin and not soundproof, but being this amazing I have a feeling that it won’t be very affordable - like a lot of new tech and advancements leaving me with nothing.
I could see a hood attachment for jackets or sweatshirts or liners for hoodies that would be useful to reduce sound on planes, public transit, noisy public areas, etc.
This would be massive for setting up home audio booths - I could have had that solve a lot of wasted time when recently recording an audiobook and having to wait for noisy cars, trucks, motorcycles, helicopters, etc from interrupting us.
That‘s amazing. This will help us to record easier , and help thousands of people to sleep better when there is construction work next door. Btw What’s the main shotgun Mic used you to record this video ?
I mean, insulation, put in doors. I can’t wait for them to charge $2,000 a square ft for it. Imagine being able to be a musician living in an apartment complex.

Curtains for houses with windows facing roads.
Gotta say, the sound design of this video is really pleasing! Those background sounds and the echoing sounds and everything are super on point!

I can wait to see/ hear this in action! Thanks for the info!
Really exciting times ahead!
Rode could build pop filters for competitors microphones that the team sneaks on just before convention demonstrations 😂

Yes but the bottoms will turn yellow. 🤮
Don't know what public restrooms you've been blessed to visit, but for most of us.... gross...
@@brandonreiser7739 I only visit 5* hotels restrooms, or if it's really an emergency, 4* ones
Give it to me now, please MIT !!! As someone who is highly sensitive and agitated by noise, this would dramatically change my life for the better.
Would be excellent add on for my daughter reading kids bedtimestorie podcasts in her home studio (=closet)

It sounds like it could be a great alternative to very expensive soundproof recording booths.
In the studio of course, but also in noise proofing cars without the weight of traditional metal impregnated bituminous sheets.
Now thats a kickstarter id jump in on.b

I think this would be easy to install yourself. And hopefully not that much.
It'll be interesting to see how much this technology will cost!
