Obviously the way of living/standard of life in your home country, the usa, is different to Ukraine, but it's a good idea to respects the norms of another country. I also noticed you want to stand up yourself because you were fed up of waiting but they were under pressure in serving such a large volume of people - customer service is intense most times. Buy a 12V or 24V DC to 220v AC inverter and some 12v batteries (or 24v) and a powerfull battery charger and you can have power to run a TV and a laptop 12 to 24 hours or more depending on how large battery you have. I myself use a small cheep 150w inverter just to power my TV and charge my laptop when there is a power outage and I have a 95Ah 12v battery that is allways fully charged in case the power goes out (happens usually in winter storms...). That 95Ah battery is enough to run my 55" TV for 12 to 24 hours (24 hour if you drain the battery completely but that is bad for normal lead batteries).
I have sent a 1100w generator to a friend in Ukraine but I also sent a small cheep 12v DC to 220v AC inverter, it is perfect to power small stuff like TV and charge a laptop and similar that do not use much power but need 220v.

@@JohnnyFD Totally true! Thanks you for sharing, I really respect your strong position!
I honestly don't know how this relates to my post about queues for Ukrposhta stamps. These stamps are in great demand among Ukrainians, and not only because of patriotism, but also because of the support to the goverment institutions, i.e. Ukrposhta. And it is also an investment in the Ukrainian future.
In addition to soldiers at the frontline and volunteers, there are many people whose work is slightly less visible, but also the very important. These are civil infrastructure workers - people who provide heat, water and electricity, waste disposal, constructions, road repairs, communication and mail, etc. They have their front too, and they also sometimes die, unfortunately. Honor and glory to all ukrainian defenders! On all of the fronts - military and civilian! We have ALREADY won this war. All that remains - is to expel all of the russian occupiers from the entire Ukrainian territory.

My grandfather was in Gulag in Vorkuta at the time this book was released on 1955, so it reminded us of the great hypocrisy of Soviet regime. Those great thoughts of Stalin, and quite shitty recipes of ingredients available or not, while most of the people were hungry and suffered from vitamin and mineral deficiencies. - How to serve a can of green peas. PS Vita is also surprisingly still great for its age and now price which can play all ps1 and psp games AND still be used to older systems to emulate, but that’s another rabbit hole haha. The title is grammatically wrong. It should have been "I should have gone home " This is grammatically correct English. Please correct.
Even myself being a French native speaker living in London, UK don't make such mistakes.

There are electric generators that store energy when plug in and when power is out can give you several hours of TV/computer/game console time. Why don't you get one from ebay.

    • @JohnnyFD

Because I don't need to watch TV/Play Games when the electricity is out...those generators are better used elsewhere.

Snus!?!? I like it! anyway, that curry (in Sweden Curry is a spice mix sort of and I guess in UK it's a Indian/asian "casserole"/stew?) looked pretty OK!
Anyway you can not go wrong with the snus! best thing ever invented!
And the color printers in the 50's was fun! :-) anyway stay safe! and try to get some survival stuff Johnny (sleeping bag, water filtration, gas cooker (camping) (or something that could warm cans with food)...
Be prepared for 2-3 weeks of electricity outage... you will never know how Putin minds work... he might putout the electricity completely... so please be prepared!!!
