Several gerry-mandered maps have been redrawn; Boebert's challenger will have more name recognition and a real campaign. She also did not do herself a favor with the beetle Juice saga. Would the voters in Santos district vote again for a republican? 80% of the population want guncontrol. Doesn't seem a good idea to vote for republicans if that is their opinion. The same is true for abortion access. I refuse to think that the majority of americans wants limitations on birthcontrol, end of no-fault divorce, end of marriage equality, want the end of social security and medicare.
To me, as an outsider, the main risc seems to be, people not showing up because they think it is a done deal.

He does miss the mark when talking of cuts and tax parity. The only reason for the deficits we have today is that the wealthy pay very little taxes compared to their income. The average american family pays about 24% of their income in taxes. And yes, SS is a tax, and yes, you are paying the "Employer's half". The obscenely wealthy only pay about 8% of their income in taxes, and billionaires only pay about 3%. That is hardly better than NOTHING! Repealing 40+ years of "Trickle Down" needs to be the #1 priority of Democrats, that will solve most of our fiscal problems.

It's indeed amazing (and great) that some of the worst states (meaning the ones with the most egregiously awful Republican leadership) still have some very impressive Democrats in their ranks. Not just Florida, but Texas -- which is objectively terrible from a governing leadership perspective -- is still somehow the home of Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who just slays Republicans and calls out their abject idiocy and criminality every time she speaks on the House floor.

Hold on. I'm okay if they cut Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid for REPUBLICAN VOTERS. I'd like to understand how feasible it is and, based on what republican voters say, they'd like to volunteer.
You see, the real problem isn't the MAGA GOP. It's the voter base that votes these kinds of thoughtless inhuman people into power. I guarantee that all those cuts are for OTHER people.. say social spending for children's lunches or infrastructure spending in inner-cities or things like that. They never ask to cut the largest welfare spending.. aka farm subsidies. They never ask to cut the transfer of blue state taxpayer dollars into failed red states.
look, they have to hit rock bottom because we are dealing with irrational creatures. Think of them like drug junkies and think of how you have to deal with them. You can't just give them money because they'll run to their dealer for their fix. You can't just make excuses when things disappear after they entered the house. You have to straddle a fine line between helping and enabling. sometimes, you have to let that junkie fall so that the reality will teach them to deal with their problem. we can't force an addict to stop their addiction. The moment the pressure is released, they relapse. We need them to acknowledge they have a problem and learn how to cope with this illness of addiction. It means creating rules that the addict makes and internalizes. It means having therapy to recognize triggers and coping skills. It can even mean some drugs to help substitute in a safe manner.
That's why I advocate for the republican voter to be the first in line to suffer. They need to hit reality and crash like that hypothetical drug addict. That way, they're more concerned about how they live rather than some poor person who just has the unfortunate reality of being demonized by conservatives for the high crime of being different.
If Trump takes a seat in our White House it will be Trump letting Mike Johnson cut Social security and Medicare and Medicaid. And that would be without a plan to help any of you with something better. You see how they get nothing done for us but cause chaos with Trump.We workers have a percentage taken out of our paychecks for Social security and to even cut it will set bad retired people into poverty because we know cost of everything goes up and it's NOT Bidens or his administration fault because the corpration that support Trump are raising their cost in order to make things hard for the the people to make Biden look like he is not helping you. He has to fight the Maga and in government as well. Maga Republicans want only to take credit for good things others have done.
