There is a process that legally requires congress to appoint and approve whom ever is qualified. Unfortunately the process was circumvented purposely to avoid this. The jury would find Trump guilty, not the judge. The judge would only oversee the sentencing once the jury delivered a guilty verdict. And if Judge Cannon "didn't want to be the judge that found Trump guilty" then she could have recused herself from the case, 'problem' solved. She never saw her role as a problem though and her only problem was how did she get Trump off scot-free.
She did her job. This was the best case against him for him to be charged as a traitor that could have come up before the election. So again she did her job. If he gets elected she be appointed to the Supreme Court. Let's hope we don't lose our country to a dictator.

No objective Americans believe that any of these cases would be brought forward if Donald Trump had retired and disappeared from view. They were brought for partisan reasons to damage the opponent of the guy who runs the department charging him. The reactions in these comments make it BLINDINGLY clear that charges were 100% partisan in nature.

In her prior trials she violated defendants 4th ammendment rights. Didn't swear in the jury in one trial before starting the trial. She hasn't been off to a very good start as a judge.

The jury would find Trump guilty, not the judge. The judge would only oversee the sentencing once the jury delivered a guilty verdict.
And if Judge Cannon "didn't want to be the judge that found Trump guilty" then she could have recused herself from the case, 'problem' solved. She never saw her role as a problem though and her only problem was how did she get Trump off scot-free.
