My personal head canon to Kaguya/Isshiki’s origin story also goes back to Shibai. I like to think that when Shibai came to Naruto’s planet, was a barren land similar to like what we see with Momoshiki.
Though Shibai was much further along his evolution so the fruit he got pushed him over the edge to godhood. This left his body on the planet which in my head canon worked similar to the Engineer on Earth after drinking that black goo in Prometheus. It seeded Naruto’s planet with life.
Thousands of years later when Ishiki and Kaguya showed up, they were wonderstruck with the view of planet so full of life. This gave Kaguya a chance to land a surprise attack on Ishiki in the confusion.
The biggest source of “proof” is that in the Naruto lore it’s said that Hagoromo went through the lands teaching people how to use Ninshu. I may be wrong but it’s always worded like that, he taught them not that he gave them that power. So in my mind’s eye Chakra was already a part of the world, just no human knew how to use it. Would also help explain how Boruto got the Jogan, because every human on Naruto’s planet already has Shibai’s DNA. Boruto just happen to get more of it coalesced together along with Otsutsuki chakra.

Probly existed before shibai came to the planet and they were either put back into the earth and reborn or a new entity from the energy that went back into the planet and had visions of what happened before the rebirth and became a prophecy.
Didn't the whole sage mode Arc explain that nature chakra and the chakra used in ninjutsu and genjutsu are two separate forms of chakra? I genuinely don't remember and ask this question for a reminder not to criticize or patronize anyone because I could very easily be wrong

My theory is that the tree Shura went back is the one Sasuke's trapped on and when he goes back through the clawmarks he went to the root of it to recover, that is how they eat the person and that is where they get their knowledge too.
But that would mean after boruto faught the shinju the first time he teleported right above them and chilled under the tree to talk with sasuke stuck in a tree and koji 🤷♂️

What i love about this theory is that it explains how Kurama could be so powerful to take on someone like Isshiki despite you expecting he's stand no chance, even in Baryon Mode.
Kurama would be 50+% of a 10 tails that was extremely more powerful than your avreage one due to its source of energy and time to grow.
It'd also allow for a Himawari + Kurama combo to become powerful enough to take on TBV threats without it being completely ridiculous.

We don't know who he formed from but if Jura was formed from Isshiki/Jigen, a tree from an otsusuki could explain why that tree has abilities the others don't appear to.

Through Hagoromo's teachings, learning how to control the energy within them to form chakra as chakra is the fusion of spiritual and physical energy from within. The implication that the planet contains a massive amount of energy implies that everything on it. Possesses that energy as any living thing on said planet is derived from it. All Hagoromo did was teach them the existence and as well as how to use that energy.

When they name dropped Shibai, his face was shown. When they were talking about the end goals of the Otsutsuki, they showed what it would look like. Neither of these needed to be shown. But they were. They are a clue. One with multiple interpretations.

Makes sense why Kaguya was able to get the upper hand on Isshki since he would have had his guard down with Kaguya being the “lesser”. He would never expect a betrayal. Check out the relationship between Momoshinki and his “lesser”. He was always obedient to any and all Momo’s commands. Which should give us the impression that is how their entire race behaves. Isshinki would never anticipate being stabbed in the back from Kaguya. Greed for power is a hell of a drug
What if Shibai is just chilling in the Shinju hideout while they go and do recon? 😂 His understanding of the world would be vastly different having been gone a thousand or more years. And since he's staying behind, he saves what little energy he has left after returning to the world to act in case of emergency situations, like fatal injuries. I'd also find it hilarious if he's pulling a Naruto move with a bunch of clones storing up nature energy just to transfer to the Shinju when they come back to him. They clearly have a serious resource hidden to just run into battle blindly.

Something to add to Nick's description of where the Divine tree is Sheba could have plainly shifted the Divine trees roots to be in a different dimension still connected to the Divine tree of Earth and so creating the Hideout dimension which is directly connected to the Earth's Dimension but separate by a very thin wall and so therefore by doing that allowing the tree to still exist and the routes to still exist simultaneously across the dimensional Gap cuz the Divine tree is not technically only physical it is chakra it is metaphysical and physical and quantum so the fact that it could survive having its roots plainly shifted to a different dimension while still being in perfect alignment with its original dimension it's not farfetched in a way of hiding his body from the real dimension being other and keeping other others of his clan from his body distance to Hideout Dimension and Earth are still connected therefore it would still allow for his body to revitalize the Earth and also bleed off chakra to the Earth
15:00 - the Otsutsuki place, where they've held the Juubi, there was a statue that Sasuke discovered, by pressing the signatures of each Otsutsuki that showed the holograms of them.. just remember - the 3 pair of Otsutsuki on the right side of that wall? The signatures were destroyed - and I'm sure there are a lot of Otsutsukis there in space, but on that wall, they had only 6, 4 of them are gone already and we know them, but we don't the other two on the right - and the connection between all 6 of them - planet Earth..
I feel like its going to be the same scenario like Kaguya did with Madara. Theres gonna be a trigger for Shibai to absorb all the cyborgs and fuse their bodies into his own as they all have a part of himself in them and most likely consume all the divine tree and the Shinju.

I just had a thought. What if Boruto and Himawari aren't just the closest humans have gotten to being otsutsuki due to their DNA in a long time, but are also metaphorically mirroring otsutsuki and the ten tails. Himawari is reconstituting Kurama right now and boruto has unlocked a jogun, so what if this will be a new evolution of both otsutsuki and humans that neither race have seen before? AND if that black box IS Shibai's body and there is the potential for another chakra fruit to sprout, if either Himawari or Boruto (or both) eat the fruit they may get some serious power ups. If we are to follow Nick's idea here, that Shibai's body is replenishing the chakra fruitless divine tree, who's to say that due to his ascension that his chakra levels are unlimited? We already are supposed to believe that his chakra is what gives the world a lot of its chakra through other theories that have been presented. So what if Shibai's limitless chakra has created the perfect divine tree? It's not dissimilar to the ascension of Buddha where he found enlightenment under a fig tree. The site of Shibai's ascension, where his physical body still resides, is under a fruit bearing tree which is being maintained by the power of Shibai's body. And now that tree doesn't wither away after a chakra fruit has been plucked because its nutrients isn't being taken away from it. It may still take time to form a chakra fruit, but it never truly dies.
With that in mind, we have never seen a ten tails consume a chakra fruit, only ostusuki. Additionally, if Jura and the other sentient ten-tails were to find out about the chakra fruit it could mean trouble for Boruto and the world, but I think that's why Himawari is there. I think she'll become a ten-tails jinchuriki and consume a chakra fruit to fight off Jura and the others. While Boruto has to fight off other threats, esspecially since everyone thinks that he's the one that killed Naruto.
I’m not 100% on how i feel about Jura knowing about the box and shibai and stuff, but the whole backstory of shibai giving the planet life and stuff and connecting that to kaguya and by extension the modern ninjas makes a lot of sense, especially following the idea that all chakra is connected like Jura said

Also Shibi’s body enriching Earth’s divine tree would explain why Sage mode exists in the first place - it’s HIS chakra that saturated all plant and living beings on the planet, so everything chakra related on earth with him as the origin makes sense. It also makes sense why Sage mode is the only form of jutsu that seems to harm Otsusutki - because they are channeling Shibi’s chakra to attack.

The most important part of the chapter is kashin koji knowing information no one else knows and telling boruto, it has been highlighted the whole chapter where Boruto gets his info from, plus we have toads whose mission seems to save the world from otsutsuki...
I have two thoughts after watching this episode.
Does it mean that the incidence of kekkei genkai is “local” because specific parts of the ability have been concentrated in a particular place, which together form a larger whole (a potential “fertilizer” for the tree)?
Does Orochimaru have the ability to acquire all the techniques possible, but his ability to gain relative strength is limited by the fact that he is farther and farther away from nature in general?

Yes to this theory. It would also explain how Amado got shibai`s body, by being with Jigen, whose mentaly Ishiki, whom was with Kaguya when the Shibai tree was found. She got the fruit but he got the body. Nd after being tickled by the The Kara naming and the inner and outer titles. I theorize the kara deminsion is inner earth. We know via Toneri that the moon was hallow with an inner gedo statute. Who is to say this earth isn't hallow or has hallow cavernous spaces as very well could be ours. ) and it being deep enough would explain the trees time to root but also it's extra vitality due to a deep seeded root. And Also in Japanese (from a lil quick on Kara meaning) it's used as "before " or "empty" and the latter is synonymous if not related to hallow.

There’s SO much that can be fed into the Shibai’s Chakra=Planet’s Chakra=Nature Chakra theory.
There also the fact that humans apparently already knew NOT to go near a god tree but also to ESPECIALLY not eat the fruit- but *how* did they know that? Unless Shibai used Omnipotence to just make any pre-existing humans on the planet just collectively agree that the tree was bad news, then the only other reasonable explanation is that a normal human/animal had already done it and served as an example to the rest. It doesn’t feel like too much of a reach to assume that a NORMAL human eating a raw chakra fruit would have some unexpected results, seeing as they aren’t built to just casually ingest such concentrated chakra; especially when Hagoromo hadn’t yet *shared* the means to control it. So is that where we got the planets’ “Gods” such as Jashin (Immortality in return for sacrifice), The King of Hell, the Reaper God (looks like an otsutsuki), or other “legendary” chakra beasts like Roen, whose description/behavior is remarkably similar to that of a Ten Tails? 👀👀

okay, i think i understand: Shibai came to earth with whatever other otsutsuki, fed them to the ten tails, transforming it into a divine tree, ate the chakra fruit, ascended to godhood, and left his mortal body on earth below the now dead divine tree, inadvertently (or maybe purposely) rejuvenating it and the planet.
milleniums later, kaguya and isshiki come with their ten tails, but now there's a healthy divine tree with a new chakra fruit grown through the energy from shibai's dead body, kaguya eats this now god-otsutsuki level-powered chakra fruit and usurps isshiki, and they end up just leaving their ten tails in isshiki's personal dimension (later used for Kara) since they didn't need to feed Kaguya to one to make a divine tree. shibai remains as a power source on earth, kaguya/isshiki's ten tails goes on to be used by isshiki/kara and subsequently Code with his claw grimes.
Makes sense that Rasengan Uzuhiko would be foreshadowing. Boruto is tapping into Shibai’s energy and one shot anything.

This all also begs the question , if Shibai is a nigh omnipotent, ascended being . Could he not have just removed the divine tree or the fruit after the fact. Or even cut off that tree's ability to bare fruits in the first place. Was his hope that someone would follow in his footsteps? Or is it possible this is part of some grand scheme for some greater end.

I do kind of have a theory about why kaguya after eating one chakra fruit awakened a rinne sharingan while the upper ranks didn't, it's just my take but what if the reason has to do with the fact that kaguya has mingled her otsutski DNA with hat of other species though the karma marking so the rinne sharingan was ana wakening that was due to the several dormant chakra of the bodies she has taken over with the karma marking
