The DNS server line works great to block ads in phone games! But if the ad provide rewards, players can't block the ad and still earn the reward because having watched the ad is the requirement. (But probably worth it to block them!)
@@CyberBeep_kenshi They make money by monitoring and selling your browsing history since all your traffic is now going through them. They simply need to record your IP and the requests your device makes, build a profile and sell it to anyone and everyone. Needless to say you shouldn't use them or any other service like that. Just stick with your normal provider, they'll be selling your data too but it's better than giving your data to a 3rd party company who will sell it to anyone that coughs up enough cash, including hackers etc.
I did exactly what you did in the video. The dns blocked my wifi, so I turned off wifi, and it gave me a notification saying my service provider would not allow.
hey, I love your channel. quick question. I already did the dns.adguard thing years ago. my problem now is: while using Chrome I run into the incessant "powered by Admiral" paywall that prevents me from viewing the content on page. how do I fix this?
Be aware of phishing when you want to unsubscribe from newsletters !! When you order something make sure you undo the subscription to the newsletter in ordering process.
I have an Android and did what you said and still have the crap that comes up on the following and more stories which I have to hide everytime. Its like 50 or more everyday? These are if you slide right from the main page.
It's good to know but the phone Co providers are in cahoots with others to annoy the users of their services, followed your advise earlier and my fones still losing battery power rapidly and they still sending me the flipping ads
QUESTION: Can these processes be used for a Samsung Galaxy Note tablet too? I'm disabled, almost housebound, and only have a tablet (my extremely old pc barely works, and is too painful for me to sit at) for my main internet usage. The ads on it drive me nuts!
i would be careful with this. there is no 'free service' in the world, especially on Internet. if you use banking etc i wouldn't want to share that etc.
@@r.1599 how do you do that please? I've JUST followed his instructions, but then read your comment!! I DO often get sent security pins for various banks, security etc!

Some banking apps won't work if you turn private DNS on.
turn it off first if you use banking apps after using the banking apps turn it on again that's the only strategy & way to solve it
