Great video. I have a question that mite sound stupid but I just got my 2014 Audi R8. The 2014 model have the dip stick attached to the cap. When the cap is off there is two holes, a bigger hole and another one in the centre for the dip stick. When topping up oil does it matter what hole it goes in? I’m assuming no but just want to double check.
Hi, love watching your videos, very informative. Just about to get everything together to do my own oil change. However I’ve been told to purchase 5w 30 rather then 40. Is there any reason why you’ve used 5w40?
I asked Audi this question and when they serviced my car they said to use 5w 40 rather than 5w 30. I’m assuming it’s because it’s a slightly thicker oil and doesn’t burn as quick. Done 1000 miles with 5w 40 and no issues
5w40 is the future now, it's a bit thicker which means it was stay stuck to the components longer giving them lubrication. Its mostly used in hybrid veichles so when the engine shuts off the oils stays stuck to it so when it turns back ok it still has some lube before the oil gets pumped back in. But yes seem a bit pointless on r8
@@judd1sanchez it is a very good scan tool, can do other things but for magnetic ride new set of shocks will come with a sort of sensor that will trick the car into thinking everything is fine, you won't need a scanner for that
@ZeitenLLC Hey mate, great business! Hope you are doing very well for yourself and love the business idea. As an owner I just wanted to help support and share an opinion that may help! I think you did a fantastic job buying new drain plugs, 110% smart idea there... Come ready once! You also seemed to give it enough time to thoroughly drain, which I've seen some people just wait 10 seconds and plug it back in when it still is draining a little bit. As an owner, we really like to feel we got out as much as possible during the change. One thing I would highly recommend is buying some sort of portable tool tray/stand. Something that lets you place parts and oil on that is more safe than using the ground or car itself. Where everything here went just fine and is good to go, I think owners might feel a little anxious using the motor to hold the oil can temporarily, or placing the new oil filter on a non-clean surface. (Yes, no spills usually happen and I'm sure you ensured nothing got on the filter) Where the risk of an accident would be very low, a little anxiety could be removed with a simple and maybe more convenient fix! Keep up the good work mate, and good luck with the biz!
Thank you for the feedback, since this one is my own car it’s ok for me to put tools in there and oil filter cap but you are absolutely right if it was someone else’s car i would for sure follow your advice, thank you
@@Zeiten I think this type of business will grow if prices remain competitive with lube shops. Personally I believe most people would rather have a tech come to them instead of them go to the shop. Remain competitive and give the BEST customer service in the area and you should have great success! I need to find one near me.... lol Good work mate, love it
Thank you, but we don’t really compete with lube shops, we do 90% of complicated repairs that shops do, oil changes are a fraction of our services that we give for free sometimes with other major repairs. Quality mobile repairs are the future in my opinion
Hey, nice video, but always have double and tripple safety stands under the car. And be careful, other cars can bump into your car and the car could fall down on you. Find another place dude. Be careful.
Damn you're good at putting oil without a funnel ! Not a single spill
😂😂 my signature
Tks a lot! Great video! Congratulations
Thanks for the vid mobile tech for a app and never done a oil change on this vehicle the info was very helpful

Doesn’t matter at all
