    I was quite sad to watch this video. I remember we used to have problems removing the injectors from the 1.6hdi engines due to the black tar sticking them in. The solution was heat it up and then pour Coca Cola around the injector which used to soften up the muck and out the injector would come. If that didn’t work, carb cleaner (not brake cleaner) would sometimes work. I’m guessing you’re way past that stage though based on what I’ve watched before. Let’s hope you have better luck with the next one. Great entertainment by the way. One of the only videos recommended for me to watch recently that wasn’t sensationalist rubbish but in fact real quality content.
    Thanks for making it 👍

      Yeah, think is dead now, i just done that video, it's all in bits now some of it is in the scrap bin, some part will go onto another engine that I did pull the injectior out on my channel but i must have 5000 nuts and bolt now kicking about 🤣🤣🤦‍♂️
      Thanks for taking the time to write this reply it's a good one, and thanks for watching 👍

    I feel your pain mate, I'm a mechanic and done loads of these vivaro turds, we turn them away now from the garage, they are the worst unreliable vehicles ever made . My advice is to throw it all away in the scrap and keep away from vauxhall, they were ok in the 80s and 90s, but there no good now, and that's all makes of vauxhalls , made of chocolate.

      🤣🤣 your not wrong there, they make sheds tho ice more parts in the back of them, then what fitted to the vans lol, think there are more like a car these than a vans , and just fall to bits 🤣

    10mm belt sander to grind the top of the collar off the remains of the injector and it will allow you to take the rocker cover off then it's just a straightforward cylinder head off.

      @ON-THE-DRIVEWAY  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just been looking at doing something like that tonight to it 👍 could try save the head then

    • @justyndavies1554
      @justyndavies1554 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will, that's how we used to do it in a main dealer to salvage the heads when doing the repair under tsb extended warranty

      @tinker-time no probs mate, once the heads off get it to an engineer with a complete injector for comparison to get it milled down to the copper washer. Good luck 👍

      kit arrived, took top of from injector, screwed on adapter, out in 5 seconds, brilliant bit of kit, will probably never use again, but for £69.99 delivered it saved me a load of grief!!!

    Great content mark really helpful videos. Its slim pickings for older vans the mk7 transits are so bad for rust, the vw transporters are silly money and the trafic/vivaros can suffer this injector problem. Ive seen lots of vivaros with 200k+ miles tho, do you think it was certain years or batches affected or is it just luck of the draw ?.

      These van suffer injector problems because the scuttle panel leeks water directly down on top of the cylinder head after 10 years 12 years of water constantly dripping down it rusty injectors in solid, I'm going to do a video on that blue van sealing up the scuttle panel

    mark like i said in previous video is you have you smash the cam carrier then you can get the head off ive done loads of these i dont even price up injector replacement just new head and injectors and carrier

    • @RonWandersOff
      @RonWandersOff หลายเดือนก่อน

      What would you advise is the best tool to smash the carrier so it doesn’t damage the camshaft? I have the same issue so when working time vs cost, I agree price up for head and injectors

      Hi
      I'd use a punch in and rocker cover, but talking to other you really need a head cams and head from a nother engine, I don't think your cams would work in another head and carrier, they will have both worn differently and could nipp up

      Loosen the retainer.
      Start the engine.
      Rev it good and hard.
      Usually pops the injector out.
      Don't remove the retainer as the injector will fly when it pops out.
      Worked for me on a few different diesel motors

    best tip for corroded and stuck injectors , bilt hammber detoc C solution in water which removes all corrosion pour water with detox C all over injectors let soak for 1 week all corosion will be gone, blow it all out , then use liquid moly injector remover fluid let soak then there coming out , no corrosion no problem

      I might have a way of saving the block, but drastic one,
      but I don't see what use I'll have for it unless i buy a van with blown bottom end 🤷‍♂️ and make one engine from 2
