This is a superb tutorial - got a cheap loop pedal about a month ago, mainly just to mess around and make some (hopefully) nice noises...and now I know how to use it properly. Thanks for making this - really good stuff 🙂

@@ukulelesimonjust keep at it, and be consistent. Your content great! Also have you ever thought of playing live at Lindy hop dance event? That will be great way to boost your following! Especially the festivals if you like travelling!
Really informative Simon. I'd love to see a tutorial on how you construct (or reconstruct in the case of a cover) a whole song on a looper - adding/removing parts and creating different sections. Just an idea!
Thanks for the great video! I have a question. I have Boss RC-5 loop , plugging my ukes directly into it. It works but the sound is a somewhat week. Any way to fix it? I do not want to max output gain on my uke, not to make things too noisy. Any advice?
Hi Sergey The smaller loopers to ‘sap’ your tone somewhat. If your uke has an eq you can adjust that to taste and the same one an amp if you use one. If not then you’d be looking at getting an eq pedal to compensate

Boom - yes, this would be awesome 👌
Fantastic. Very clear and informative. Thank you.
What looper features in this video? And what effects pedal?
Peter, the looper in this video is an RC-300 and the effects unit is a Line 6 Helix LT

@@ukulelesimon thank you! Makes sense
Hi simon - fab tutorial.thanks! Quick question- I know what the loop pedal does. What does the line 6 thing do - is it the effects?
Yeah, it is a big multi-effects pedal, saves on having a million little pedals.
Now do Tick Tock!
Superb video, Ukeman.
Cheers pal, not as challenging as looping with someone else live ;)
"I'm gonna pop some tags..."
Only got 20 dollars in my pocket
Appreciate the information! One question, is your signal chain uke -> effects -> looper?
Hey Mark, correct, otherwise the effects wouldn't be in the loops.
@@ukulelesimon Thanks for clarifying that for me.👍
@@markattardo Any time
