Nirvana playing a show, Matt there changing Kurt's guitar string and AiC performing for Singles shoots across the street. If there is a heaven, that was it.
It was pretty amazing to hear all of the stories from over the years. I'll bet he has so many more he could share. That last minute when the interview was over...it made me tear up. You can tell how much Chris is missed. What a sweet way to honor his memory.
First of all I Love Matt Cameron. This is the first time I've heard him speak in length. Can't believe how much he throws the F bomb around. Probably from hanging out with Eddie. LOL
Thanks so much for having Matt on the show, he is a real class act...all of his fans, but especially us lifelong Soundgarden fans love him as a musician and as a person more than he will ever know...that also goes for Ben and Kim. I'm assuming whoever from Seattle Today wrote the description to this video is a true empath( a blessing and a curse most of us musicians live with lol) ,it's absolutely beautiful and extremely touching, I completely felt everything you said..... And Matt's Diet Coke in this video, esp on this day, has more meaning than any other tribute to Chris ever could, it's like Chris is right there with him. The first time I just watched this interview I felt too much emotion for Matt and how he must have been feeling this day, so I couldn't fully concentrate, now I have to watch it again to really listen to the details! So many of our emotions are just still so strong for Chris and all that Matt, Kim, and Ben have been through together. I'm sure it was a good release for Matt to be able to talk to you guys to help get through the day, ...this was one of the most comfortably, candid interviews I've ever seen, just a few really nice people hanging out talking, great job guys. Glad you sent Matt that message!
Fantastic interview fellas. Matt is one of the greatest rock drummers ever, and a huge influence on my playing, Ironically, we're both married to Aprils. I owe him a world of gratitude for all the wonderful music he's given me to learn from.
Hands down one of my favorite drummers of all time. I would love if you guys could bring people with stories I want more talking of Malfunkshun and Andy Wood. Stories about him told by people. My highlight of Duff Mckagans interview is when he was talking about Andy.
I love Matt fucking Cameron! What a fucking monster drummer and musician period so much talent from Soundgarden to Pearl jam and skin yard .. and side projects/studio work from Geddy Lee to the ten commandos... fantastic Singer songwriter& great guitarist ... His solo record was awesome
These podcasts are awesome! Reminds me a bit of the Spud Goodman show, Bombshelter Videos with Bill Bored and also a little of Almost Live haha. Having been in bands and played drums since 1988 and growing up in the Seattle area it's so cool to hear from all you guys that are still around! I was a Soundgarden fan starting back in 9th grade. Louder than Love had just dropped! I just listened to the Joseph Arthur podcast with Barrett Martin last night... another couple of great dudes to have on the show that have Seattle musical connections..... Man the ending of this one gets ya. Glad you kept the tape rolling. 🙏🏼
Thanks for this. I liked getting to know a little about Matt from the PJ20 doc. He is so cool. I know people like to hate on him and go on and on about Dave Abruzzesse (sp?) should have never gotten kicked out, but I see now how Matt has stayed with Pearl Jam for so long. He just seems like an easy going guy, just drummin’ and chillin’ and not causing to many problems lol. That’s more Pearl Jam’s style.
Moore Theater?? Looks like it if I’m going by Pearl Jam’s Even Flow video. Never been there but I know how iconic it was during the classic early 90s era.
…really enjoyed that. Thank you. But you didn’t even ask about his Cavedweller solo record. I love that record. And he doesn’t even play drums on it. He got Mark Guiliana. One of the best drummers on earth.
Is that the Paramount or the Moore? They look similar. I saw many shows there from 1990-1993 until the media screwed everything up. I saw fIREHOSE here and Soundgarden, Nirvana, Tad, Gruntruck, Screaming Trees, Mudhoney and so many others. IMIJ was a great band that never got any run. The Sky Cries Mary was a great band that played a lot back then too. I saw Pearl Jam before they were called Pearl Jam at the OK Hotel, they called themselves Mookie Blaylock. Matt Cameron is a cool guy, really down to earth. Much like all the Seattle rock stars. They just remained themselves.
One of the greatest and definitely the best drummer out of the Seattle Grunge movement.
Love Matt Cameron. What a talent. He loved Chris so much. He was a fan as well as a band mate. ❤️
Thanks for the love and compliment 🌹🌹
Best drummer of all time from the best band of all time.
This interview is priceless. Matt is a legend, thank you Matt for beating on our eardrums to the point of changing our lives.
Incredible how much detail he’s shared to these stories we only new the surface of if anything. Lives these bands and such a fan of Matt!!
Matt has been awesome for decades and decades
Great vid! Dave Abbruzzese would be a killer interview too!
I love that Matt keep swirling his chair like a kid. Cute.

Excellent episode - Matt is a fantastic drummer, great raconteur and a wonderful human being.
First of all I Love Matt Cameron. This is the first time I've heard him speak in length. Can't believe how much he throws the F bomb around. Probably from hanging out with Eddie. LOL
Well it is his middle name after all!

The MFC ! Soo generous of his time and memories.
How the hell does this only have 7.4K views?!! Awesome stuff, I am loving these podcasts 🤘
Loved hearing Matt's stories! Hopefully seeing him play in New Jersey this fall.
Fantastic interview fellas. Matt is one of the greatest rock drummers ever, and a huge influence on my playing, Ironically, we're both married to Aprils. I owe him a world of gratitude for all the wonderful music he's given me to learn from.
This guy doesn't age at all 😂 he also has had the most consistent haircut in rock and roll history 😂
Most consistent haircut in rock history... Brian May would like a word with you.
Matt. What a cool fucking dude. This was fantastic
I love the content, guys! This is a treasure trove of stories about the bands we grew up with. Thanks for putting these together.
amazing musician!!!
LOL killer Matt. love it.

also bam bam
One of the greatest MC interviews of all time. Hope they can do it again someday and dig deep into the song specifics
No offense the Rush talk and Chris talk really hit me hard but man as soon as they brought Jimmy Page in the conversation my heart rate def went up.

Matt is the best drummer on the planet IMHO.
Best interview I have seen! Watched it from beginning to end!! Thank you
Moore Theater?? Looks like it if I’m going by Pearl Jam’s Even Flow video. Never been there but I know how iconic it was during the classic early 90s era.
Will you guys ever hang with Matt with again? This was so much info and I love it! My mind was blown!
My favorite musician ever
I'm just catching up to this show. Nice work, fellas! Woodway represent!
He says Fuck but he says gosh. Good heart man
WOW!!!! Matt Cameron is a Voivoid a Trooper
The first & last time I saw Matt play drums was opening for Voivod in DC.
I’ve always found Seattle so compelling. I can’t really put my finger on why. There is some kind of energy that I am very drawn too. Thoughts?
Very cool show
I enjoyed this.

Great video.Please bring Krist Novoselic.
Greetings & Love from Croatia
Legend x2!
Matt Dyer Maker. It's Dyer Maker. as in D-jer Maker as in Jamaica. Where the song was written. It's "Jamaica". "dyer Maker"
MFC you rock!
Cam kinda remind me of Tony Hawk from that camera angle. Great vid!
BAM BAM! Tina Bell!

Kurt Cobain told the drummer from Soundgarden to change his guitar string 🤯
Priceless!
And he finds the strings in a Scooby Doo lunchbox!!!😂😂😂
Clean living
