I love you guys, your home really is a family affair and I’m sure your kids will be so appreciative of it all when they are grown up. Russ, you make it all look so easy and Lindi, your finishes touches are perfection!! Great idea to put glass doors on the garage, not only a beautiful view but so much more natural light. This is the workshop of my dreams too ❤

That was fabulous! I keep watching all of your transformation bc I love Ikea furniture but am sometimes at a loss of how to make things custom. Keep transforming that property and making it an amazing home for your family!

Great inspiration, Lindi & Russ. Love your logo too! Beautiful garage transformation. What is the approximate costs of the materials (cabinets, etc.) for this project? Just want to get an idea only for a budget.
The cabinets and paint were roughly $4000. New lights about $450, feature wall about $400. The patio door ($300 used) and the wood and drywall about $350.

fire is a big hazard in any workshop, hence planning is needed: fire extnguishers but also a garden water hose but in that case care must be given to electrical wiring, it runs on the floor and will get in contact with water...an overall breaker for the whole workshop would be required. Any ideas as fire exting. will last 30-40 seconds and the workshop is full of dried wood and sawdust. what would you recommend ?
100%, having a up to date fire extinguisher in your shop (as well as you house) is always a good idea. I also don't recommend grinding/welding unless all the dust and wood chips are cleaned up. We are lucky to have two windows that could be used for egress, as well as two large doors (on three different walls). Dust collection is also a great upgrade to any wood shop.
A lot of the safety is pre planning and keeping a tidy shop.
What did you use for the logo? And everything looks great!
We made it on our Glowforge! :) and cut it out of 1/8" thick MDF. Check out our page for Glowforge videos!
Where the lights also from home hardware?
no we got those from Costco
