Actually the music video is connected to the whole concept of EXO. You know, EXO we're aliens and had many enemies like the red force. So in this MV, EXO we're being captured but then Baekhyun disguised as one of the enemies to free other members.

Hello! ^^ I'm not new to exo I've known them for years but tbh I don't know the storyline of their videos! Can you if you don't mind list all their mv's in order so I can rewatch it and try to understand the storyline.
@@Kindhearts. I don't think just watching only the mv's will answer your curiosity as EXO's storyline is really complex and this includes all teasers, VCR, and some performance.

What happen in the MV is actually their storyline concept, not the same as the lyrics.
They caught by red force but Baekhyun saved them by diguising himself as the red force.
You won't understand if you never know the concept in exo that is always have the storyline in their MVs and VCR concerts.
You can watch Exo MAMA mv, there's a story of exo in the intro.
Now i understand why exo mv is dificult to rise the viewers. Many exols more interesting to watch video reaction like this. But this is really fun. I love exo. And i'm happy to see another person feel happy and enjoy exo song like me

Let me explain a little bit about EXO's "Monster" MV. As the English lines in the song say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping Creeping ... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." LOL
You have seen several of EXO's MVs, and you have read our comments about EXO hundreds of time, so how can you still be shocked that EXO are amazing dancers and singers? LOL Plus, you have reacted to dozens of SM Entertainment's groups' MVs, songs and live performances, so at this point it shouldn't be a surprise to you that SM has amazing singers and performers. That is just what SM is known for. You can't be an SM artist without having amazing vocal and dance skills.

As with everything EXO does, it is all part of their concept and storyline. So the floating watch and the car that is on fire in reverse, etc., I think -- on top of being a metaphor in the story -- also is supposed to be the members using their superpowers. And the snake you see is supposed to mirror the beat of the song and theme of the MV. So, like a monster, the beat of the song kind of slithers like a snake as a metaphor for the way the guy slithers in and out of the relationship stealing warmth and affection from the girl, but in the end, leaving her cold and alone like a cold-blooded snake, etc. The snake is also red, which means it is supposed to represent something to do with the Red Force.
The scenes where you see the red light are thought to be times when the Red Force has control and the scenes with the blue light are believed to be when EXO has the upper hand. And when you see scenes with purple that is supposed to be when the line between the Red Force and EXO are blurred and they are battling for control. Red and blue mixed together make purple.
However, the lyrics of the song really have very little to do with the story in the MV. "Monster" is one example where, if you want to know what the song is about, you should look up an English translation of the lyrics. Because the lyrics in the song tell a different story than the story in the MV. In the song the members are talking about a girl and they are telling the girl that "You can call me Monster" because I know I am bad for you and I will ruin you. I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. So ... "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... you can call me Monster ... because I'm creeping in your heart babe." The song is about possessing a girl and using her up and throwing her away in the end, but the MV really is about EXO's origin story and about the fact that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have come to Earth on a mission.
Some say the "girl" that EXO is always singing about and you sometimes see in their MV is a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life and that is why the members are always rescuing or protecting the girl, etc. And why all their songs are about being in love with a girl or being controlled by the power of the girl, or how they talk about knowing they are bad news for the girl but they want her anyway and they can't help it, but in the end they know they might destroy her etc. etc. When you think of the girl as the heart of the Tree of Life EXOs story takes on a whole other layer.
Also, the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so when/if you watch the dance practice and/or watch a live performance, really pay attention to the choreography so you might be able to find the parts where they use their powers. For example: when D.O. makes a gesture with his arms all the members are pulled toward him or pushed away from him because he is using his power of force/strength; When you see Suho in the middle of the group and the have a hold of his arms, he rotate his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water; when Xiumin moves across in front of the rest of the members you will see them all pause as if frozen because he used his power of frost/ice; and when Sehun stands in the middle of the group the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm because Sehun controls wind, etc. The part where they sit on the ground is supposed to look like a sundial and it represents the passing of time. As part of EXOs storyline they get their strength and power from an eclipse so they are connected to planetary and solar phenomenon. This is one of the best examples of how EXO continues their concept and story in everything they do, including in their choreography. Everything, down to the most minute detail, is expertly thought out and planned to always stick to their concept and story.
Fun fact: At the end of the MV when they are saying "Creepin', Creepin' Creeping ..." the dance move they are doing is the signature dance move the creep from the 1990s American girl group TLC from their song "Creep." Do you see the creep in EXO's moves?
And you should also make note that "Lotto" is a prequel to "Monster," so when you watch "Lotto," just keep in mind that what you saw happen in "Monster" is what is going to take place after or in conjunction with the events in "Lotto", and both MVs might make a little more sense to you then.
How "Monster" and "Lotto" tie into EXOs larger storyline is a little open ended, but I am pretty sure, that "Lotto" is the prequel to "Monster." So, if you pay attention, I think the story starts out in "Lotto" where the members have somehow infiltrated this big gambling ring and are maybe sort of undercover as they work to uncover a clue or something they need in order to accomplish their tasks here on Earth. I think the underground gambling establishment is run by a gang of bad guys who are probably members of the Red Force. "Lotto" is where we are introduced to a girl who is being held captive. And ultimately, I think what EXO are trying to do is rescue the girl from the Red Forces or the bad guys, but they are trying to do it without blowing their cover or being found out. So, that's why you see in "Lotto," and continued in "Monster," the members are fighting against the FBI or police because the police have come in to take down the gambling ring and rescue the girl, which is also what EXO are trying to do. For some reason the members of EXO don't want to be discovered, so they play along as if they are part of the bad guys. But in the end, as you see in "Monster," Baekhyun disguises himself as one of the police and helps the other members escape before they are taken to jail and/or captured by the Red Forces, etc.
If you want to follow EXO's storyline, some other scenes to take note of: You see Lay crouched in the middle of what looks like a pile of people -- I'm not sure whether these are the FBI agents that the members of EXO have taken down, or if these are members of the Red Force -- and I think he is checking to make sure they are OK and possibly trying to use his power of healing to fix things and heal the injured. This will be important to remember, but I will explain more when you see "Lotto."
Because some theories believe that EXO are traveling between time periods and dimensions, I believe in "Monster" they also might be showing how some of the members are arriving on scene at different moments in the timeline of events that are taking place in the MV -- the members don't necessarily arrive at the location together. For instance, you also see Kai standing on or near a giant pile of people as well, and he seems to be standing over them. Some have pointed to this as possibly showing evil X-EXO Kai -- Kai's alter ego clone that was created by the Red Forced and introduced in EXO's "Obsession" MV -- who has done something bad, but I think this may be showing good EXO Kai, who has just shown up at that moment, observing what has taken place. Because Kai has the power of teleportation, he is the one that is in charge of bringing the members together and traveling between time and space, so I think he has shown up from a different time or place and is now trying to figure out what has happened and what needs to be done to fix things, etc.
Unfortunately, as you can see, what makes EXO's storyline even more difficult to follow is the fact that nothing is ever in chronological order and everything has a tendency to blend together. So you really have to pay close attention to every detail, to even begin to make connections.

EXO-K
💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho)
💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light
🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix.
🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt) which gives him strength/force
☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.)
🌪Sehun is the youngest member of the group and he is a lead rapper, lead dancer and a vocalist -- his power is the ability to control wind
EXO-M
❄Xiumin (Kim MinSeok) is the oldest member of the group and he is a lead vocalist and lead rapper and his power is the ability to control snow/ice (frost)
