WHEN and WHERE to get CHEAP PLANTS

Just picked up a Logan and boysen berry plant for ten bucks each.

Wife and I rounded an outside corner at Walmart and it was lined with potted flowers with discount tags on them looking worse for wear. We got these previously 20 dollar and up flowers for like 3 bucks apiece took them home, started watering them and had great flowers for the rest of summer. 90 percent of people think "I'm not buying dead flowers!" More for me.

Done this for years. If they’re not discounted, ask. Point out that they are in poor shape, you’re not going to sell them in time, etc.

Yep. It is frustrating when they refuse to discount a plant that is 90% dead, but still salvageable. Zero shot it sells at full price, just let me take it for 3/4 off instead of throwing it away.
