@@CCAutoWorks it helps at wide open throttle I just built one for my dad has 408 sbf 2800 stall its shifting at 5800 at WOT screw modulator all the way out an shifts at about 5200 bit could be the way valve body is built
I don't think it would be the governor but if u think it might be you can run like 15 to 20 mph in drive when u reach that speed through it in park and let it roll to a stop that will fix a stuck gov
This managed to get 300 more rpm but still shifts to soon behind a big block I have the same setup behind a small block and it revs out to 6500 before shifting
@CCAutoWorks have you tried a different vacuum modulator pin? The little pin that goes in the modulator, there are four different lengths. The longest is 1.677 inch
Why didn't you try adjusting the modulator valve?
Because that's for changing the shift during regular light throttle driving the governor is for wide open throttle shifts
Modulator valve controls how early an late the shift is

I lost 3rd gear on my C6 engine goes high rpm no engagement on last gear possibly stack governor ??

Is your detente arm attached and adjusted ? if not that can cause early shifts along with your choice of modulator ,black stripe is what you want
Yessir the kickdown detente arm it adjusted correctly but the modulator is a purple stripe
