Moloch and Drahmin the oni duo.These guys could've been really awesome and I like them,I'm also happy to know they do have fans and they got an interesting story.While Scorpions ending in Deadly Alliance is not for Scorpion fans the fact that the two oni worked together to bring down Scorpion is impressive and they could be seen as the violent version of Bebop and Rocksteady

I' sure The Oni are stronger than the masked guards or tarkatans as far as grunts are concerned. But the Dragon king's army, those are the real tough little baddies.
I liked on MKX, the version for tablets, you could actually play Oni as a fighting character. There are a bit of characters on there you can't play anywhere else (Trooper, Sergeant, etc.)
I’d love to see some sort of elite oni creature as in the mk roster in one of these games! Preferably a new one. seeing moloch or the tormented return would be interesting but I kinda wanna see one more similar the new trilogy designs. Maybe one with wings?
All Drahmin needs is a redesign. Cooler clothing besides just a loincloth. The sword stabbed into his back should be an alternate weapon, along with his club, give his mask powers as a variant, and I'd say he'd be unique. The fact we have a human brain in an oni's body and him not being OP makes him interesting. I hate that boon hates him. I also like that his mask is more mesoamerican/polynesian looking than Japanese, it just looks swell.
Kinda pisses me off how they treat the characters from the 3D era. Instead of just killing them off, how about you redo their backstory or something. Kenshi and Havik were done fine though.
I find it interesting that shao Kahn's mk11 redesign was probably influenced by these guys. I just notice they share similar arm spikes lol and ed boon did say something about him spending all that time in the netherrealm
All I knew was Oni was all those trolls in Shaolin Monks weakest pawn enemies, the clowns in Deception’s Konquest mode roaming around the Netherrealm and obviously Drahmin and Moloch, I thought demons and Oni were different species thats why I thought those demons in MKX were just that but you are right they seem like mindless savage slaves so on point. I thought Drahmin was lame had shitty special moves, forgettable and only fatality in Deadly Alliance nothing outside of that, Moloch was alright annoying sub boss but I guess they wanted to make something like Goro for the start of the 3D era and thats what was conjured possibly not much thought put into because yes Goro was a brute but at the same time had personality and status Prince of the Shokans, Moloch is just a brainless pawn in the end literally a hulking shield for Shang Tsung and Quan Chi and nothing more he’ll never help em scheme or be one among the top tiers so that was the problem you have a big boss but he is nothing else and obviously these 2 will never get a second chance when you see in MKX Quan Chi holding Moloch’s head in one of the intro dialogue.

No, despite his physical resemblance to Drahmin. He was an experiment created by Shang Tsung that managed to escape the Flesh Pits before he was completed. Actually sounds like the basis for a really interesting story of a character rejecting the evil purposes of their creation to find their own way, but sadly Meat’s never really gotten his just due.
Seeing Moloch doing the ending "Kata" is one of the most bizarre and unfitting things ever.
