  • EPIC BEACH TARPON FISHING on ARTIFICIAL!!!
    I have been waiting all year for this!!! The glass minnow run on the beach is probably one of the most amazing types of fishing that I have done! Huge schools of glass minnows that are being fed on by huge tarpon, sharks, snook, and many other kinds of game fish. And it is all right at your feet, literally! It is absolutely incredible to witness! Land based tarpon fishing is probably one of the hardest and most rewarding kind of fishing that you can do! I love it!
    Enjoy!!!

    Wow, you really have them dialed in. It wasn’t long ago you were dying for that first beach tarpon. Stalking, chasing, dreaming, praying for that fish. Now, you’re hooking them like it’s just another day at the office. Congrats Jupe!

    Die hard beach guy down south of you “BOCA” what months do you get that glass minnows run? It rarely has happened down here, I wait on the mullet run all year. I actually take 2 weeks off in a row in early October for it. They seem to get here much later of course depending on storms that can help push them down . Sick video would love to come up there if I could time it rite!

      With bigger leader a usually use less wraps and pull it tight with pliers. I also will leave a slightly longer tag in case it does slip a little...

    Hey George we’re headed down to Ft Pierce September 11-18 where’s the best place we can fish for sheepshead & mangrove without a boat?

    • @JupiterGeorgeFishing
      @JupiterGeorgeFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't really do a lot of that type of fishing but I would think the bridges would be a good place to start. Anywhere there is structure...

    It's incredible how close that Tarpon came to the shore at 2:00. Excellent catch! Too bad about the "No Joke" tarpon. That would have been a tough one to land. Keep them coming!

    How long is the glass minnow run

    • @JupiterGeorgeFishing
      @JupiterGeorgeFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends... It is actually over now mostly because of the Hurricane Dorian and TS Humberto... No worries though, the mullet run is starting now...

    Awesome! Gotta step up to 80lb leader, they wear out leader so fast. I lose so many tarpon, they drive me nuts, always jumping or breaking off. Got some action on my channel.

      Try using mono instead of braid, you will land more of them, the lack of stretch in your line is why they break off.
