Hey hey hey.. Love Aldious!! They are one of the pioneers of the 2000's All female rock and metal boom in Japan.. Toki and Yoshi on twin leads are awesome and Sawa on bass is very very good.. The drummer in this video is Marina Bozzio, daughter of the hall of fame drummer Terry Bozzio.. Sadly she has just retired due to health issues. The band has also struggled to keep a singer. Re:No in this video is my personal favorite and for me is the sound of Aldious, just love her silky smooth voice. She took ill with an inner hear disease a number of years ago and had to stop singing. She has come back with a solo album in the last year so good for her, hope she will one day get back with the band. They have a number of very cool songs Sweet temptation (MV is very cool with an unusual theme?) and Reincarnation live is a masterpiece incorporating accoustic guitar, violin and full on metal with Re:No's haunting voice.. Really hope you will do more of these beautiful talented ladies. Best wishes from the Dordogne, and thanks for checking out Aldious.. There is plenty to see here and its all good. I still think Yoshi's Zemaitis guitar is one of the best looking guitars I've ever seen.. P.S. You said you want a ballad from a Japanese band, try the E songs from Lovebites.. 3 Masterpieces.. Epilogue, Edge of the world and Empy daydream.. Also A frozen serenade, possibly one of the best songs I have ever heard..
Just a little info The original singer was Rami This singer id Re:No And they also have had Rin and Maki Oyama as songers. The original drummer was Aruto, who left to get married, and this drummer is Marina Bozzio the daughter of Terry Bozzio of Missing Persons and Frank Zappa fame.
Aldious I Visual Kei, and their concept is their costumes are based on Hostees Cafe. And they are party girls. So their songs tend to reflect the life of a party girl.
Interesting point about the drummer here. You mention her skill set, she has a very good role model for drummers at home. The three bass drums is also a clue. That is Marina Bozzio. Her father is Terry Bozzio, of Missing Persons, Mothers of Invention, etc., etc. He spends most his time in Japan these days. While not on TH-cam, there are some videos of Terry playing with Marina and his son Raanen on Facebook and other places.
Aldious are the OG successful girl’s J-Metal band and they have some brilliant songs, from a musical point of view. All of the band members contribute music and that makes their output a bit more than diverse, it’s kinda frenetic at times! They have always been best live, even when no one believed they could even play, being pretty girls in hostess outfits, and all. Those people were obviously wrong and Aldious have been driving the point home ever since 2008. They seem to be on a creative hiatus and are down a full Time vocalist and drummer (both Re:NO and Marina retired for health reasons) but they have been doing live gigs and I suspect they will continue to do that in a limited capacity.

I love this band and bought a lot albums and EPs. They changed singers a couple of time. This is Re:NO. Funny thing is that I found her to soft and boring from the beginning...but I turned to love her! 😃 Almost everything they made is good, but I dont like the latest things.
I say it again.....Japan is on another level

Miku of Band-Maid also used that model of Zemaitis for a bit.

One of my favorite Japanese bands. Beautiful women rocking out and having fun. Love that pink flying v. 🤘
Note the song We Are on the album and Music Video starts with an homage to Metallica One played with violin.
Aldious I Visual Kei, and their concept is their costumes are based on Hostees Cafe. And they are party girls. So their songs tend to reflect the life of a party girl.
Aldious formed I. 2008, and wee the first commercially successful All Female Metal band. Since Show Ya who were from 1980s.

BAND-MAID’s songs ‘Wonderland’ and ‘Daydreaming’ are similar to ballads.

A ballad you say? Nemophila "Odyssey" , bring you back to MTV or the Sunset Strip circa 1986.....

My initial reaction to Re:NO’s vocals was lukewarm as well. But now she’s one of my favorite vocalists.
🍷🍷🍷 Not sure Prosecco and reactions mix too well 🍷🍷🍷🤣🤣🤣😉
Me neither
