I use the Home/Office - MAG Dual Desktop Wireless Charger, with mag case. Very solid piece of kit. It has a rubber type base which grips to any surface. You don't have to support it while pulling the phone off and the phone just snaps to it. Not cheap though but certainly the best Ive used. Excellent content as well.

Great info! thx. I wanna add the reg iPhone 15 DOES NOT have the always on capability either! The StandBy settings on the reg 15 (not 15 pro) look exactly like the ones shown in your 12 pro example. Not sure why this is, they were even oblivious to it at the Apple store. Hopefully it gets fixed with an update eventually as without always on capabilities the Standby mode shuts off after :20 seconds on the regular 15 modal.

Yes, @emmawing340. However StandBy and alarms are independent from one another. If there is an alarm set in the Clock app, it will show up in StandBy. If there is nothing set, nothing will show up. You can't add an alarm within StandBy. You need to first go into the Clock app, add the alarm and then it will show up. Thank you so much for taking your time to watch this video. Excellent explanation! Answered many questions. Your straightforward honest opinions on chargers were appreciated too. (Too many people try to “sell” a certain product.) I do have a question about the 3 in 1 charger you showed. Do you think there is a possibility it could damage the phone? I have heard many horror stories about cheaper chargers overheating and ruining the phone’s battery.
Valid concern @denisepaige2314 with cheaper chargers. For actually cables that you plug into iPhones and iPads, I never buy non-apple cables. Apple's are pretty advanced with little chips inside and everything. They even have a dedicated support article to identify bad cables, which I'll link below: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories support.apple.com/en-us/HT204566 As far as wireless chargers, I haven't personally seen any issues. I have been using that "cheap" one from amazon daily for almost 5 months now and haven't had one issue. I've used the Belkin one for almost a year and haven't had any issues. I know there is a concern to not overcharge devices, so I will pull it off the charger if it's been on there for a while at 100%, at least I do if I remember to...I did speak with Apple Support on this and they said the devices are supposed to stop charging when it reaches 100%, but they still don't recommend to leave it on there for hours on end. But overall, I primarily charge my iPhone wirelessly. In the car, on my nightstand and at my desk. I rarely plug it in with a cable. Hi @ricklavoie4849! You should be able to add those options on the first set of clock faces which is the "widgets" screen. When the device is in standby mode, swipe to the right to go to the first options. Here you can have weather, calendar and clock that will rotate. Hi @ronlowe9884, You would need to "Pick a song" within the settings of the alarm set in the Clock App. So if you open up the Clock app and set an alarm, touch sounds. From there you should have an option to "Pick a Song". The issue that I have with StandBy is that there’s a bug where it keeps getting reset to the original StandBy setup… have they addressed this bug in a SW fix or is there something wrong with my device?
Good question @AJourneyToSuccess! @@Learnwithjoel Social media is not reliable. it's so dumb. My iPhone is flawed, Even at it's purest form of being a phone, it failed. yes i upgraded my OS. It seams that other factors are at play. It's not a viable app in the OS to rely on
This is a great video about a cool feature, but when I tried to actually use my new iPhone 15 Pro as a clock in standby mode, I was disappointed. I found that no matter what I do, the clock display eventually turns to black when I use it at night. When I first put the phone on the mag-safe stand, the clock displays just fine, but after about 3 hours the screen turns black. If I get out of bed or make a movement, it turns back on because I have it configured to do that, but it will eventually turn to black again. I tried changing the StandBy display setting to "Always on", but even with that set, it will eventually turn to black. I don't understand why Apple would spoil such a useful feature in this way.
@@Madgitty2 That's exactly what mine does. Here's an update: I was on vacation recently and used a charging cable instead of my mag-safe stand. When the phone was plugged into the charging cable, the standby display worked fine all night for several nights in a row. It never turned off. I'm not saying we should all use a charging cable instead of our mag-safe stands, but this was another bit of information.

I use the Home/Office - MAG Dual Desktop Wireless Charger, with mag case. Very solid piece of kit. It has a rubber type base which grips to any surface. A lot of the MagSafe charging stands will only work with cases that are marketed as MagSafe friendly. So when you are looking for a case for your iPhone, make sure it is MagSafe compatible as these cases will have a circle magnet within in the case.

Great info!
Thus, totally not a good night time clock if I have a 13 Pro.
What’s the point if the screen goes dark after 20 seconds? Why is that useful?

Can you have the digital clock on display overnight and set an alarm for the morning

They even have a dedicated support article to identify bad cables, which I'll link below:
Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories
support.apple.com/en-us/HT204566
As far as wireless chargers, I haven't personally seen any issues.

Most recent travel battery pack I just got, and am enjoying is: amzn.to/3GrLWdg

How do I get outside temp ,calendar , and clock to all show
Hi @ricklavoie4849! You should be able to add those options on the first set of clock faces which is the "widgets" screen.
When the device is in standby mode, swipe to the right to go to the first options. Here you can have weather, calendar and clock that will rotate.

How can I set my alarm to wake to music?
Hi @ronlowe9884,
You would need to "Pick a song" within the settings of the alarm set in the Clock App.
So if you open up the Clock app and set an alarm, touch sounds. From there you should have an option to "Pick a Song".
Keep in mid this option only allows you to choose songs synced from a computer via Finder on a Mac, or iTunes on a windows computer, or purchased content via the Apple Music store.

How to change color on the clock

While the device is in StandBy mode, you should be able to touch and hold on the screen to swipe between the different clock faces. When you do that there should be a little white circle that you can touch that will bring up different options for colors.

When setting alarms and using downloaded iTunes music there is no way in the Alarm Clock to set the volume of the music for the alarm!

There are three choices:
Automatically
20 seconds
Never
There's also an option for "motion to wake"

@@Learnwithjoel I will, but they need to be labeled for which models they ARE and/or are NOT relevant for. If you save viewers time, you can concentrate the likes/shares per view. Instead of…”why so many views, but NOT so many likes/shares. Just my 2c

why is it that when I choose the color on the clock, it is always red and cannot be changed even though I have set the color I want
Hi @miqbalaurafi2848!
There is a setting called "Night Mode" that makes it turn red at night time.
It's located in the Standby settings. You'll want to turn that off.
