Doesnt change the fact he's right the game atm is negative defensive based rugby. It just needs to be tilted slightly back the other way. ATM teams are basically going to be forced to play how the boks play in tight tier 1 matches which is kick it high asf and hope the opposition cock up or give up a penalty or card. @@Thap3l0 I dont disagree I think the boks will be extremely difficult to beat if the officiating and playing style ATM stays the same. The only problem I see the boks having is if England get their shit together as they are the only other team that I think can play this kick it high asf wait for a mistake, penalty or card game really well. Its not in NZ's DNA to play the current style. But it is in the boks so you guys are likely to clean up for a while if things stay the same.
When the All Blacks were wining everything no complained, now that The Might Springboks are winning, The Tackle height needs to be changed so that the game can suit the All Blacks offloads, He must retire and stop whining. Its simply not fit for purpose everybody knows that. But because they won another one and the officiating and style of game atm clearly suits the boks I wont hold my breath on this one.

What type of attack is going to develop if they disincentivize defence? If there is no effective defense then the attack will have no need of artifice, no guile... it's onl defense dominated because the attack is at the end of a pendulum - in two years time they'll be begging for better defense... If the ABs had Rassie and Jacques then they'd be working out how to beat the Bok defense wouldn't they? And Sir Graham Henry would be scoffing at 'tackle height, and number of rucks ...' Everyone forgets that World Cup Finals are by necessity low-risk affairs, no-one can risk an intercept or a one-hundred yard try. So it's kick, bash, brawl, sweat, blood and tears... and NOTHING is going to change that. Ever.
Imagine everyone played the same attacking rugby.... how boring that would be.... there are many ways to play rugby and many ways to enjoy it... different styles make for great matches. They criticized our 7/1 split , it worked twice against them so why didn't they prepare accordingly , they had enough time after the SA final squad was announced . Sorry but Grant Nisbett is well past it being Sky commentator on ABs matches. He's 72 and has been commentating AB games since the late 80s /early 90s. He can get cynical on referee decisions he doesn't agree with and his over the top yahooing when the ABs score is to much on the biased side.

Tough loss, your team had ample opportunity to win that game to avoid having to bank on a few ref calls going your way. A win is a win my man. Boks have been on the receiving end of tough losses in the past - guess it's your turn now and I'm sure you'll be great again.
But nows the time for Rassie to come out and have a talk with all the other old head coaches and put a statement out to world rugby together that the officiating is not fit for purpose. The AB's and foster cant really say anything unless everyone comes together and discusses this because it just comes across as sour grapes. Its not even about the AB's every team is getting fked over by this officiating at one stage or another. Did you hear the french fans booing the entire match? They have every right to be pissed too. IMO Rassie needs to take the lead here.
New Zealand plays running rugby. Thats the reason they didn't kick for points three times and why they spent the most of yhe match in there half. You can't count on only one strategy and style. Your rugby culture cost you the world cup. Three penalties not kick for posts, a missed conversion and penalty. Instead of complaining about the ref and technology look at the team decisions. Rugby is growing in South Africa. New Zealand's rugby style and culture isn't growing the sport.
I think your wrong. I think their gameplan was to play like the boks just kicking it high asf and hoping for a mistake, card or penalty. They only changed that with the yellow cards because with 14men if you kick the penalty you are giving the boks at full strength a potentially easy entry into your 22 if you cock up the restart or they pressure you into a mistake. I think it was a master stroke to go for lineouts and avoid kicking for penalites. Although maybe in hindsight we should of kicked one more penalty at goal... again thats hindsight and who knows what would of happened from the restart after that maybe the boks get down in our 22 and score off a rolling maul againt 14 men! I was perfectly happy with the ABs game tactically. I think it threw the boks off their game bigtime as they didnt expect it. The cards and general officiating was just to hard to overcome imo.
Look back at previous tournaments. They are won on the boot. Scoring penalties creates scoreboard pressure. The All Blacks allowed South Africa to build a lead and do what they do best and defend. South Africa plays best without the ball in hand. Refs aren't to blame its decision-making. Both tackles that the All Blacks were penalized for aren't the players' fault those fall directly on the coaching staff. Things like that should have been coached out. Its a final and discipline is important. But I have to admit that rugby union needs to look at how cards are dished out and be consistent with there application.
A Win for rugby league
If nz win rugby world cups it is the perfect game , when they lose rugby need change . 2011 they won 8 , 7 no complaint. 2015 they won , no complaints. 2019 they started to complain about ball in play , scrums are boring eg eg . 2023 tmo ruining the game , ball in play is not enough. I garentee you if they won there would have been zero zero complaints. Nz is disgraceful to the game . Go play league
14 v 15 is a joke, a bloody sham, that isn't a contest. 15 v 15, whoever wins no complaints. This final created the what-ifs and by the way, get rid of the TMO and leave it up to the ref.

Im tired of these New Zealanders whining and moaning every time SA beats NZ. Im losing all the respect Ive had for the All Blacks. We've lost so many games against them but we were never bitter about. We would just congratulate them and move on. Now we beat them leading to the world cup and in the world cup and in each case there's a wave of negativity about rules and referees and every other petty little thing. They think they're entitled to winning all them time.

I here the complain about the red card...You cannot play in World cup competions without a well prepared game plan...You must have a game plan also covered 4 red cards, yellow cards and injuries....
Well NZ clearly did they nearly bloody won that game I remind you. And the boks really didnt even do much just took their penalties and never looked like scoring a try or even did much of anything in the second half when they were clearly tiring. I also think they didnt expect NZ to turn down the penalties and that kept the boks pinned in their own half which was a master stroke imo because that doesnt allow the boks to get into your half as much when you only have 14men. Maybe we should of shot one more of those penalties at the posts and maybe we could of wont the game but it would gifted the boks an opportunity to lock us in our own half and force us into a mistake from the kickoff.....but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
It’s about just consistency in officiating, he is not complaining about the red card either, listen carefully before being a keyboard warrior, at least the ABs play the beautiful brand of rugby that the majority enjoy to watch and will market the game better worldwide.

The red card was wrong, no different to the boks captain yellow card. The red card should be limited to 20mins not the whole game! A disallowed try after an error was played on 5 phases after was bullshit, and a pentiy given to the boks, in which the TMO corrected and opolosied for after the points given!!! Worst ref game ive ever watch and feel gutted for the AB..
The red card was wrong. Many decisions on cards were wrong and inconsistent- people falling out of the air and landing on other's heads resulting in yellow cards. Also the 5 phases you mentioned- was time taken off? I don't believe so.
You game plan must make provision for red cards, yellow cards and injuries...I don't really bite the story of the red card...

Sorry totally disagree with your opinion. World rugby certainly do not tailor there rules to sit New Zealand. The rule makers are predominantly from the Norther Hemisphere. Current rules actually favour the Boss and all credit to them they play to the existing rules no argument with that.
Red is red! According to the laws it was fair and the right decision. The refs can't take emotion into account! Where do you draw the line then?? This was the best World Cup of all time with a lot of tension and amazing moments. NZ must stop advocating their style of play to the rest of the world.
