- My first ever solo trip! I spent 5 days doing a self-drive safari in the Kruger National Park and it was MAGICAL. I started at Malelane Gate and stayed at the Lower Sabie, Skukuza, Satara and Letaba Camps before leaving from Phalaborwa Gate.

When did SA go to LHD????? lol A few summers back my wife and I flew in from the UK to visit The Park after moving to Kent almost 2 decades before; we started at Punda and travelled south to Crocodile Bridge over 11 days. What a marvellous trip. I would do it again but over a longer time frame so that we could stay more days in each area; solo would be my dream sabbatical. Thx for sharing your trip.
