I really love this set. The leg connection is a bit weird now they changed it as one leg is a plate forwards. The fig is a super cool variant of the mk42
This set is great, and it has a great minifigure too. I also use his shield as a blade sometimes, flipping in to where the edge of the shield it faced towards his fingers.
Hey Jang, do I see it corretly that on the box they kept the original leg connection? What do you think of this "misinformation" ? Also, does the number of pieces match now?
I think the offset is fine, it gives it a natural one leg in front of the other action pose. And are we all just going to pretend that previous mechs didn't have stability issues? I can barely get my Thor mech to not do the splits every two seconds.
That pearl windscreen definitely looks like it belongs on your new mechs! On a different topic any chance you'll review the ninjago spinners of this wave I recently bought Jay's spinner and was really disappointed in the difference between the marketing and the actual figure and would like to see you call attention to this. Thanks!
It was about stability of the build more than balance. The ball joints and sockets are interfering with the "belt" in some cases and pop itself out at the waist on the previous models.
hello Jang I'm a huge fan I just have one question I have the first iron man mech is the waist built different just curious I'd love to get this one too but not sure if it's good the first one was alright but a little bit unstable
there is inconsistency on production of those three ball pieces. some of them have gloss finish other matte which made them very loose. They should've make new 1x2 piece with ball on both ends.
I really really am not bothered even a smidgen by the offset legs. Honestly, it isn't that noticeable from almost any of the most desirable viewpoints. For kids, while playing with it, I think they'll be too engaged in play for it to be a serious issue. But I get it, some people will be bothered by it. I really am not.
If I had a nickel for every piece in this set that originated in nexo knights I’d have 3 nickels… which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened thrice (Blue arm shield, shield insert, gold mech canopy
That offset really does bug me personally. Don't know why they had to re-design the waist when they had a design that was perfect. I think when I eventually get these new sets I am going to have to do a bricklink order and make em more like the older mechs.

Doubtful as these are cheap low priority sets that don't warrant that kind of investment.

I think the way I'll deal with the changes to the hips is to simply rebuild them to be the same as their predecessors
They did this same weird offset hip thing with the Deviant in the $10 Eternals set.

I can't decide if I'm gonna get this set. I already own the 2020 Mech, but Iron Man is a character who would have more than one of these things.
If trouble with hip design , maybe look closely at the box art to see how to correct using modified 1 by 1 plates and ball bar connectors

this one does look good, however i had the choice for the new 3 and went for the wolverine as i have a lot of iron man stuff
That opalescent shield might work as like, a clear mech cockpit being energized? Just rewatched the mech moc video before this lol

@@satellachannel6423 my models cannot stand. Only wave one. Rest of the waves have very loose hip balljoints. Not sure why.
Funny thing is their first redesign was broken as well and they delayed it because of that. And the version 3 is horrible with the asymetry.

for a very Dynamic pose, its probably not going to be too noticeable.
your mech is different to mine the legs don't fit the same way so have you got mk1 or mk2
