On XBox, my experience of CP servers is that the races are not as regular as you say they are on PC, and we have to wait hours. A number of races are on 'random' tracks, which means you get little or no time to practice
Yeah it's a shame for us on xbox. I'm never online for the races, and their usually on tracks that otherwise never get used on xbox (e.g. the American tracks)
Cp servers are empty anyway. On Xbox the game is dying. In the evening there are maybe 30 to 40 drivers driving on the publics. It's a shame. Hopefully one day there will be crossplay. A racing game need a big community to work well and to have fun.
I love this game, BUT when racing online, some days there are way too many hotlap racers online :D That is those persons that can make a very very good laptime, but have no idea how to drive in a race. You get rearended cause they thought you should drive faster, they just smash into your side, cause they dont understand we cant go 2 people in this corner and so on. Laptime does not say anything, and clearly not SA either. We need another way to see if its safe drivers.
I enjoy multiplayer on my PS5 for the most part. There are a lot of instances of players that don’t qualify so well and then shoot the start while ghosted to get ahead of the pack which annoys me, but I’ve had some nice battles.
@@Psychoh90 not currently, I wish I did tho…. Still been trying to just get my SA high enough to maybe get away from the ppl who push the start only to end up DQ’d lol
Liked video and tense look on your face at last seconds of pit when p3 was released and went infront. Know the feeling. Shame on ps4 and ps5 ACC had many serious problems and lost lot of racers upgrading to PC. Now issues are sorted and it is the best sim racing competition experience on console. Since release of ACC on ps4 can’t believe how good it is.
You race on PS4 or PS5? Also, is there much of a difference bn console and PC? I have both. Noticed that night driving in console version used to be VERY dark, unusable. Has it been updated?
@@supercededman I race on PS5. We have 10tenth racing community league there is option for PC or console PS4/PS5. There have been multiple updates on console and night visibility issues were sorted about a year ago. 505games keep fixing and updating PS5 ACC version so it’s all good now.
@@supercededman from what I have seen on our 10tenth racing community page and how it’s set up and let us communicate I think discord is amazing. Competition servers are good when lfm has a track your not feeling…. It’s 30 min races, sometimes there’s a pitstop window…. Pub lobbies can be to crazy sometimes 😂😂🤣🤣
I've only done two LFM races. The sprint at Donnington and the 45 min at Nurb ring with wet/dry/wet. That race was a nightmare cause people kept taking the wrong tires so half the time it was decent racing and the other half you're dealing with guys on the wrong tires trying not to wreck into them on corner exits
I used to play Iracing on pc with a wheel but nowdays i prefer to sit on the couch. Bought this game for my Steam Deck and it works incredibly well with a gamepad. This might be the best game i've ever played. So many hours of great fun. Im looking at getting into LFM but i must say the public lobbies have very clean racing compared if you compare it to simcade's.
Love the game, even with some graphics issue on Ps5. But hope they add AI drivers on private Lobby, so you can play with some friends and still full grid. And Telemetry data would be great!
Great video and agree this makes quick online racing accessible. 😊 But it does lack one thing in my humbe opinion, which I say coming from being in an online group on a dedicated server. This format is missing the voice chat and banter. I never realised that being part of a group which gets together on a regular basis with something like discord chat to laugh, joke, help and encourage is such a massive part of sim racing for me. I am super lucky to be in a good group and have learnt so much though it and it keeps me coming back. You touched on it early in the video... the ability to create a dedicated server on PC is a bit tricky. If Kunos made this easier, it would make a massive difference to many. Do you have any guides or able to make one regarding setting up an ACC server? As always, thanks for all the content you and the team put out there. 😎👌
Thanks Simon, agree wholeheartedly! Personally I have never actually set up my own server on pc, but hopefully someone else can give you the answers you need. The sim/league racing community is one of the best things about it! Will meet so many great likeminded people 😊👍🏼 Good luck!
CP these days in ACC is close to dead, after Kunos killed it off with "improvements", changing format from 45-60m to 30m, with 5-12 splits dropping to 1-2, even with halved lobby size per split. Then again, LFM userbase grown tenfold, spiking almost exactly after these "CP improvements". 1-2 splits mean that people of wildly varying pace get thrown together with all the drawbacks. Short sprints also make driving less safe. To summarize, while in past CP was inbetween long multi-hour endurance events organized by portals/leagues and public lobbies, now it's yet another public server, with it's role of regular daily racing taken over by LFM. Kunos could have reverted changes to regain at least half of popularity of CP in past, but choosing not to, for whatever the reasons.
I drive my first competition server race this evening, only 4 players did join that race, I did qualify 3rd and did finish 3rd in the race. Why did I get no competition points ? How does the point system work ? I did drive a 60 minute Race for nothing. Was it because I did quit after the race ? But it was finish and everybody else also left. I did quit like 10 Minutes after the race because nothing did happen anymore. Did I do something wrong ?
Have t done a comp server race yet. Been doing the lfm servers and it’s been a mixed bag in the rookie races so far. My biggest complaint with acc multiplayer on pc, is that if I want to race my buddies it’s not as as simple as making a lobby in game and figuring out having to use another app to do it.
Please do an AI review. It would be interesting to see your point of view on this. Maybe Kunos would take some suggestions. That part definitely needs some work. I did a full career, while I did enjoyed it, not once did I noticed the AI make any mistakes at all.
Hello TraxionGG 👋 I've a question: So i did my first Competition Server race yesterday to finally put some CP points in, and i managed to finish the race in 5th place (out of 13 players) but i didn't get any CP points whatsoever 🤔😕. Do you perhaps know how those CP points system actually works? I'm a PS5 ACC user so i don't know if there's any existing errors on CP servers on my platform. Cheers 👍
Can someone help me? I play ACC on my Xbox One using a Thrustmaster TMX but for a few months now the pedals don’t seem to be registering. I start any mode and i can move the wheel and shift up and down gears but no gas, brake or even the clutch pedal works which is super frustrating because i really want to work towards the esports scene on ACC. My pedals work on every other game, whether it’s F1, Assetto Corsa, Forza, or whatever. But for some reason ACC just doesn’t seem to want to work with my pedals. What can i do about this?
The DLC is all great so it's tricky to pick the best! British GT pack gives you some superb circuits, as does the Intercontinental GT pack. GT4 is good if you want something different car wise, and Challengers gives you more variety to play with. You only need the packs for multiplayer if the race you are trying to enter requires you to use the content from those packs. So you can still do a GT3 race against the newer Audi for example if you don't have it yourself, because you can pick one of the cars you do have. As long as you own the track you are racing on!
I’m on PS5 and when I’ve joined a competition server, no one has been there. Maybe that’s because I’m on PlayStation (everyone else is on PC), or my Timezone (New Zealand). Maybe I have to move to PC as that’s where everyone is.
