Wow fabulous thanks... add a wonderful timbre and incredible control and we have a really singularly vocally talented individual here. Not even starting on all the other peripheral talents! 🎈🌹
Great video, bro!!! I like the choice of old clips, that makes all of us remind the old work videos, that Voiceplay has done to us for so much fun and entertain!!! (I find the old ones much more nostalgic for a reason). Just a few corrections for future videos: 2:56 is a B1 3:01 is an A1 10:18 is a mix. You can hear the flip into the connection of head voice. It has a chesty texture, but it has the softness of head voice. 10:36 is a Chest Dominant-Mix. You clearly tell he has so much chesty sounding on that note, but because it doesn´t sound full enought, it has a bit of mix, but majority the sounding of a chest note. 11:27 is a G#5 :) 11:36 is actually a very strong head voice. P.S: Your video content is really great, and entertaining when I am bored!!! Keep up the good work, my kid!!!
I don’t think that F1 in Phantom of the Opera is chest, considering a few years after that video was released, Geoff said he’s never gone below F#1 in chest. However, he did hit an F1 chest in Voiceplay’s cover of Whiskey in the Jar uploaded a few weeks ago. Nice video!
Well, I mean it kinda sounds chest, because he doesn´t stop the whole bass line, and if it would have been growl, he would have to stop and transitate to chest, because growl isn´t connected to chest voice. And I am considering this example to Tim Foust, since he is the best at it. Also, Geoff has already confirmed he can do an F1 in pure chest in a patreon stream (Yes, and he hit on that stream), so I wouldn´t be surprise to hear him doing it in a professional context. He just never recorded before, because you know: He is that kind of perfecionism person, so obviously, he wouldn´t record it because it wouldn´t sound good, or it would be unreliable to produce for a piece of song.
@@smashmonster6929 Geoff himself confirmed on a live broadcast that he doesn't even know what a chest-fry is, so it's just the compression of the air that makes it sound like a fry. A chest note doesn't sound bubbly like the fry and sounds totally clean and full, unlike the fry. He uses it for his devil laugh, and his fry is only used for his fry scoops, to add effect to something. Hopefully I made you understood!🙂🙂🙂
Hello Geoff - will you be doing tours or preforming in theaters in the tri-state area either solo or with your group? We live in central NJ between NYC and Philly? Are you selling CD's? on your website - what is your website URL?
Thanks for watching this video! I know it sounds generic but I’m trying to hit 100 subs so please subscribe. Liking the video would also be nice so I can know if you guys enjoyed the video. Also I may be setting up another channel less music based and more geography based, so maybe go check it out if I do and you like geography
Slight corrections: He slid down to a D1 chest in "Mr Blue Sky" You didn't include an example for C#1 so some examples are in "The Dragonborn Comes" and The Wicked Medley His lowest subharmonic is Bb0. He does it on Tiktok when he's talking about Way Down. The B4 in Oogie Boogie Song is mixed. But I'm pretty sure the Bb4 in Peaches is chest His highest mix is in Grace Kelly Live where he hits a G#5.
Oh also I just realized I never credited these clips to the owners, so all credit goes to Voiceplay, I don’t claim ownership over any of these clips

Yes, Geoff is very talented. And to think his lowest note was only an E1 a few years ago. Thanks for watching!

Nice video!
I believe the F5 from Peaches is now his highest mixed note
It´s actually a Chest Dominant-Mix.
You can clearly tell that sounds so much grity over his vocal texture.
Oh, I didn’t see the F5
@@smashmonster6929How did you not see it. You used the clip at 11:34 😂
@@TaigaMoriBass oh wait it’s right there 💀💀💀
Guess I'm a penguin. Great job! Thanks for taking the time to document this. 💯

I’m pretty sure it’s chest although maybe it’s a really chest dominant chest fry

@@hugobasilio1303 ok so it is chest then
@@smashmonster6929 Yes, sir.
On the twenty one pilots mashup, those are F#1 in subharmonics, in fact, one of the first from Geoff.
