Hi. I’ve just found your channel. How do you maintain the edges on your garden beds during the growing season? I grow in similar 30” beds but maybe I am planting too close to the edge. I have lost a few plants this year with storms and bed erosion. Also I have had an issue with squirrels digging into the edges of my beds and pulling the soil down into the paths. I would love some tips on maintaining my paths and beds during the growing season. I just love your video on companion planting simplified. The rule of three makes so much sense.
The best thing I know for that is woodchips in the pathways. It works great to hold your beds in and the chips will break down and kind of compost in place. I usually shovel the composted chip material onto the beds after a couple yrs. It's a great way to add organic matter to the beds as well. If you can't get woodchips, then you may want to plant so close to the edges if that is an issue. Any soil that falls into the path, i woyld just shovel back onto the bed. Hope that helps!
