    Massage is the key and movement as you say (in my experience). I've been told I look young for my age and asked what I do. I absolutely love skincare and keep regular with it, but think it's exercise that makes the skin, in conjunction with regular skin care, to look more youthful. Great video! Ty!!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Virginia,
      Depending on the skin I am working on, I have different treatment products and cream masks I use to massage with. One of my favorite is a very thick hydrating mask that I mix with a selected treatment cream or oil. I like my massage product to stay very lubricant as I massage the skin a lot during my facials on most of my clients. They key is to find good hydrating products that do not clog the skin causing future breakouts after the facial.

    Nerida, what amount is considered a mild retinol? i thought you shouldn't combine AHA's with Retinol's?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello Deanna,
      Any Non-prescription retinol is what I am referring to as mild. Some over the counter brands are stronger than others, so to use on a nightly basis (assuming the skin could be a little sensitive) use a serum first. AHA's cream's are used in the daytime with an SPF. By using a retinol at night and AHA w/SPF for your day moisturizer, you are going to have a more youthful, healthy skin altogether.

    • @dmc122291
      @dmc122291 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for the help Nerida. So by putting a serum on before a night time retinol (mild), is that providing a little protective layer to the skin since it could be sensitive? And one more thing which number SPF would you recommend to wear daily?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depending where you and how much you are out doors, I would say average a SPF45 to SPF65 is great. Tizo 3, colorscience sunforgetables, total block are some great brands

      I cannot answer the retinol question as it depends on your skin and its condition.
      Its fine to use an eye cream twice a day..... just good to change it up to when you can. For example, an eye gel offers great solutions for dark circles and puffiness often, so i like not use mine in the PM. An eye cream offers a different type of hydration and protection:))

    Are you sure you are massaging in the right direction on the cheeks....looks like you're going against gravity and pushing downward instead of upward

      My upward movements are much firmer then my downwards movements....you just cannot see or feel that.......:))

    Microneedling would be amazing for her scarring.

      Not a fan;( Scaring you need to work from the inside out to heal it 100%. Microneedling can be effective with certain skin colors but long term stimulating collagen by-way-of the fibroblast cells with treatment products is better then forced trama to the skin.

      What are your thoughts on laser trauma to stimulate collagen? A good long term solution or massage and daily care is the best?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Massage I personally believe is best. Topical products can stimulate collagen without any trama ....mild retinol and AHA's :))
