    I've had to use my Stinger on my YJ a few times. Kept me from going end over end. Definitely a requirement for me.

      I bet that was scary! I don’t think this bull bar will keep it from going over but it does deflect branches and should stop a deer from damaging my radiator if I hit one. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Take care!

    Good info.I’m in the same mindset as you and don’t want to look gaudy but want some protection at a fair price. I have looked at their website and looked at those and was wondering about them.

      Thanks! I’ve had the winch and bumper on for about a year now and I’ve taken it out west and up north and I’ve been extremely happy with both. I’ve only used the winch twice to recover other people it’s been very reliable. Time will tell how it holds up in say 5 years. Other than the initial small rust that I mentioned I love it and it’s been very solid. I have not had other rust issues since I fixed it. Thanks for watching and commenting

      @@MojaveTrails , you said you would do a video on the winch but nothing. So… what winch is it? I’m older than you and on retirement so funds are limited. Thanks

      Hello you are right I did say that and I have not had a chance yet. It’s an X-bull 13,000 lb winch. I really like it for the price and it is built tough. I do wish it was American made but alas it’s from China. So far it’s worked when I needed it and I don’t have any complaints. Time will tell if it will hold up.

      @@MojaveTrails , everything is made in China!!!

      Actually no. The lights and winch are made in China. The bumper is American made so are the tires and the autolynx sway bar disconnects. The jeep is made in Ohio although I’m sure a lot of parts are made in China. Also my new Tune is made in Denver. Interior mods are all made in America

    Thank you for sharing you experience. Is it true that it's not quiet an exact fit for gladiator sport? (a little bit of drilling and other adjustments according to another utuber). I love the Rampage, but I am being drawn more toward the Tactik bumper (similar to the Rampage) for my next project on my 2021 Gladiator sport.

      Hello, I honestly don’t know how it fits on a sport. I know the Mojave has an extra inch of front clearance but I don’t see how that makes a difference. The bumper has held up well but I still need to touch up the paint once a year. Thanks for watching and good luck with which ever one you choose to go with

    I also have a 2023 Mojave but in a "short" garage space. How much length does this bumper add?

    • @MojaveTrails
      @MojaveTrails  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didn’t measure it but I don’t feel like it adds much if anything to the overall length. I still park on the short side of our garage and I still have the same 4 ish inches to spare

    Good info. I appreciate you and your channel. I also have a Mojave, and I'm curious why you didn't want aluminum?

    • @MojaveTrails
      @MojaveTrails  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for your kind comment it makes doing these videos worth it! I didn’t want aluminum for a couple of reasons. 1 you don’t save that much weight but you do give up a lot of strength. 2. In my experience painted aluminum doesn’t seem to hold up as well as painted steel. I don’t have any data to prove it that has just been what I’ve experienced. 3. There are not that many options to choose from and I don’t really like the look of any that I researched. 4. Where i mostly go there are a lot of deer. It’s not uncommon to hit one on backroads or off road. I wanted the bumper with Bull Bar to protect the front of my truck in the unfortunate event that I hit one. Steel is better at that than aluminum. Thanks for the comment and question! Take care!
