    "Whenever I can, I love to put parts that are made in the USA on my Jeep to support American companies where we can!" That just earned my future purchases. I am an American, earning American dollars, supporting my fellow Americans through these times. I may have to buy less but I'll from home all that I can!

    Would have been nice to see how everything bolted up to the frame mounts, some bumpers require spacers which I was wondering about. I'm about ready to install a bodyguard bumper.

    I like top mount too...any concerns of the winch blocking air to grill, particularly when towing.

    • @rob_quadratec
      @rob_quadratec 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s definitely a thought that I had, and I’ll keep and eye on the temps, especially this summer to see if it looks like it’s making an impact. But realistically, I don’t think it will really causes any issues. The only things I plan on towing aren’t close to the Max rating anyhow.

    Looks awesome! Why didn’t you go with the Bruizer? Tucks the winch out of sight for the most part but yes it requires the cube lights. I do like the color matching. I kept mine back to go with my Mojito green/ black colors. I have thought about taking the wire harness from both the front completely out since I ran my rigid d-series to a stech switch.
    My bumper was heavy without a winch so I can only imagine how heavy it was for y’all and with the spacers lining up just right.
    That’s an awesome winch! That would be the good thing about that bumper also is that you can put a really big winch on the front versus my Smittybilt XRC Gen 3 that fits pretty tight.
    What about the rear bumper? Going Poison Spyder also?
    USA parts all the way!!
    Factor 55 has some awesome parts! Rocking their Flatlink on my JLU.
    Last question, what shackles are you thinking about having for the bumper? Are you going to keep them on the bumper or only put them on when you intend on using them(recovery situation)?
    Awesome video!

    Nice set up and great options i just cant put poison spider stuff on my gladiator. The feel the need to cut there logo into everything. In the 90s with a cool armband tattoo that would have been cool. Now its just dated like an 80s kitchen.

    Wasn’t Poison Spyder bought? I’m pretty sure all their stuff is made in China now isn’t it? Correct me if I’m wrong but I know once they sold, the building they were making everything at here in Banning Ca. is empty now. I’m curious where they are actually manufactured now.
    (NOT IN BANNING ANYMORE)

      I just bought and installed a Poison Spyder crawler bumper this past week and after seeing the quality and the fitment issues you may be right. I can't even get them to respond to any emails or answer the phone. That sucks if they are made in china now. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this bumper.

    I want to go with a steel front and rear bumper. I have one MAJOR problem. My garage is extremely short. I literally have about 3 inches of clearance. So my question, is there a steel bumper both front and rear that does NOT make the overall length longer than stock? Would be great if it actually shaved an inch or two LOL.

    Wish I could afford a set of those Rock Sider steps! Man, those just look slick! I'm not really a fan of all the other steps that have permanently hanging hoops.
    I went with a Fab Fours Stubby, and my old Warn 9.5XP that I've had sitting new in the box since 2006... Bought it for another project that I ended up selling, and never had another vehicle small enough to use it on until I got my JTR. So, I guess you could call it NOS (New Old Stock). 🤣

  • @scottsymons6152

    What is your opinion on the Warn 8274-50? Warn is coming out with an updated version that will have a 10,000lb rating. To be mounted on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2-door.

    • @rob_quadratec
      @rob_quadratec 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 8274 is an incredibly fast winch, with a huge 150 foot line capacity. It does have some specific mounting requirements because it mounts forward with the fairlead, instead of on the bottom like most other winches. There aren't many bumpers available with that mounting pattern, so you may be custom fabricating a bumper, or at least customizing an existing bumper to work with the 8274-50.

    I am replacing factory bumper on my JL rubicon with aftermarket bumper that has LED lights built in. I'm wiring to the original harness so original fog light switch with the headlights will still work. The original harness behind the bumper passenger side has three wires, two of them are white, one black, assuming black is ground both of the whites appear to have 12 volt do you know why there are two power wires? The LEDs in the new bumper only have black and red just trying to confirm which power wires to connect
    Thanks for any help!
