Michelle and I started videoing all our client's custom leather apron to give other craftspeople who are on the fence just something to think about. We started this on our Instagram and Facebook accounts. It is amazing that in 5 years of making custom leather / bespoke aprons that no two are alike. It still amazes us. 1 of 1.
We take several body measurements, to create your custom / bespoke apron. These aprons are not "off the shelf". Each pocket is tailored to fit your toolset. Custom.
These two aprons belong to Rick from Illinois and Ed from Tennessee. Rick's apron features a two-tone combination, black on tan while Ed's feature a solid brown and split leg which seems to a trend this summer. The split leg is very comfortable.

I think this is a great idea, showing your work that you created for others, with explanation, will help others to envision theirs. I have been contemplating buying one for sometime but concerned I might not get it just right. So seeing other designs and the explanation of your work is awesome. Thank you!

Jon, thank you for understanding our goal. The concept of a custom/bespoke leather apron is not the easiest to communicate. We've been doing this on our IG account for months and it a hit.

Split leg is a must have for blacksmiths - gives us access to one more place to hold things.

Indeed. Even for woodworking it just makes the apron feel a bit lighter and I like the independent movement of the leather

Great work. I would suggest offering people the option to put straps on the legs to keep them from billowing out.

Thanks for the tip! It is offered, our client elected not to have leg straps,. We are a custom / bespoke operation, we offer removable or permanent. What the client wants, they get. Who better knows the toolset and workflow then the client. On occasion, we have offered our insight and suggestions to a tool placement or a pocket. I will say that I have worn both; personally, I prefer not to have the leg straps. To me, it just feels freer....fredom
