i’ve decided to relearn scripting, i learned scripting way back in 2019 with TDK but roblox has changed so much that i really need to at this point, thankful to see a guide thats up to date because it really does feel like i can barely salvage the TDK’s guide info without busting my brain to realize that roblox recently got rid of a certain feature for the sake of anti cheats or for absolutely no reason at all.
Whenever anyone tells me about how they want to learn scripting, I always send them this playlist, it’s super well made and at a great pace for beginners
I made a rubiks cube by creating squares with different colors, combined 9 of each into a group, formed the cube, made outlines in black and then added some textures by moving the colors very slightly out. Im very happy how it looks like now
I made a cartoon building with windows and other stuff, I found out you can hold shift or ctrl to select multiple things, I learned that if you click an object in explorer then hold shift then go down and while holding shift you select all that was in the middle of those to parts, and I learned about models and folders. This was a very good video for beginners like me!
This seems liek a great video for any beginner. Most Roblox Studio how-to series' focus on the basics of programming, and maybe the different script types, but a tutorial teaching you how to navigate Studio and how to use the editor is an amazing way for beginners to learn. I'd suggest that when you start teaching scripting, that you show any documentation page and explain the termonology, as well as the format it's written by
I made a swing between 2 trees, took me 2 minutes to make the tree in blender and like 4 to make the 3 parts of the swing and position them in the right place. I really want to make stuff I want to make in roblox studio after I did blender modelling, much love to you for making this coherent tutorial!
Me and my friend wanted to make a game that we really believe could become very popular. We have a whole story line setup. Cutscene ideas. Themes, chapters, currency, items, monsters and villains, game objectives and much more. We don’t have a ton of experience but we really want to make this project good and spend a lot of time on it. We have a small amount of 3d modeling, coding, and animation experience, but hopefully we can create something legendary. We estimate that itll take around 7 months and about 6 hours a day. Wish us luck Update: Discord is almost done and will be posting logs in there. Development is picking up pace. Ill link the discord when finished.

I love how he explains the topic and goes straight to the point. I also love the fact that he gives a task or homework at the end of the video to assess what we learnt.

I found all of your tutorials super helpful and it has developed me to turn into a pro dev + builder. Thanks for all you do and see you in your next post!
I recently started learning scripting in Roblox and so far it's been fun. I've made a few cylinders and wedges and coloured them in, and I also made a multi coloured ladder. It's very nice
I've already got the basics, but only the basics. I built a little re-creation of my childhood home so I could practice environments in Roblox- Looking forward to making it really something, thanks for this series!
I'm planning on finishing and mastering the entire course in 1 month then create a game I've been planning on making for months, today I played with shapes made a staircase out of spheres that led to a simple tree made of a cylinder and 4 wedges then anchored it all and colored them and climbed to the top
i’m learing how to script currently, and what i did was make a quick exterior of a house! hopefully this playlist can teach me how to be a great scripter!
made a grass floor with dirt underneath by making the grass smaller than the dirt and lowered it into the dirt block so the grass was on top but wasn't poking out the sides
I built a paper castle using the rotation, scaling and moving commands, then i changed the color of some cards and changed the atmosphere, increasing both the haze and glare and changing the color to red. Awesome guide!!
I just made a little snowman! I've used Roblox Studio in the past so I know some of the basics, but I want to learn how to code so I'm gonna watch this series.
I went through and basically copied the same as the video, I placed parts and now understand how to resize and move parts around along with adding them into the game. Thank you!
I’m working on a project that I truly believe has the potential to succeed and gain popularity. I’ve already mapped out ideas for the theme, storyline, items, monsters, NPCs, and other key elements. While I’m unsure when this project will be completed, as there’s still so much for me to learn, I’m confident that this video marks a meaningful step toward creating my dream game. I promise that once this game generates income, I’ll donate 10% to those in need. Until that day comes, I’ll keep you all updated on the journey.👌 thanks for BrawlDev for making this video, its very helpful for us who making their own games
Im working on a game and i didnt know how to script, i did develop games back in 2021 but i was 9 and pretty much only searched stuff on youtube, now i am back with no idea how things work. I really needed your guide because i have been making a game and its reallt buggy since i take yt scripts. I will do my best to learn scripting through your videos even though i am bad at understanding.
the learning objective is actually an amazing idea, as an actual cybersec student who does programming, the one thing that helped me a lot was having a goal or something to try and do.
Thank you! I will watch the whole series as I am trying to learn to become a developer. I’m currently working on making a Pokémon Horizons roleplay game (probably inspired by Danganronpa rp on Roblox) and I really don’t want to flop on the first day of making the actual game. :3
to be honest this the best cahnel ever i found. fyi before i have tried some roblox paid coourse, maybe the course not fit me. but on this chanel give me everything i need and its free. its realy help me than the paid course i have. thankyou su mouch
Man, this is a good tutorial. I'm coming from Unity and C# and even though these concepts are basic and I understand them already, it is still a very good tutorial! Good job 👏
I mainly played around with the height of a wedge to make a huge ramp which will take like 10 mins straight to fall down off at the top. Thank you for this video.
This tutorial is perfect in every way. I'm finally getting to grips with the wild world that is ro-deving. For the LO, I spelled my name out of parts!!
Thank you for your free training. I usually work in a story project and I was looking for a free training. It is really good that the training is free and the training is in such a way that you can teach different parts of Roblox Studio. Thank you :D
i made a garage using blocks and wedges for the roof, i found out there are different in built materials so i used the brick material for the walls and the tile material for the roof and changed the colours of these, i also discovered that you can group different parts in the explorer as a single model which made managing the build easier and also allowed me to copy and paste it all very easily so i had mutliple garages and i built a strip of them.
I love your vids I was 1 of your 100 subscribers thank you so much and if you do make a tower defense game playlist it will help so much, I know that there are other people that make tower defense playlist but your better in every way more. love you Dood don't give up work hard and stay strong .
I got used to moving in Roblox Studio, understood how the properties work by exploring with them a little bit, and experimented scaling, rotating the spawn and baseplate!
I made an little house and i doodled around an kinda understanded roblox studio more! Ty for the tutorial! Love you're videos!❤ And you just got an new subscriber!
im starting to learn how to script today and ill be taking examples from here and all the other turtorials ill slowly comment on every video this guy has made showing my progress (if anyone wants to see) im starting rn with a great motivation. i dont have discord or socials so ill try to get commisions after practicing for 2 to 3 weeks from the roblox studio commisions page (i think thats what it is) wish me luck!. (nov 3rd 2024)
at the time of watching this video i am already fully familiarised with modeling and welding parts on roblox. some of me and my friends are all watching this playlist hoping to become proper developers some day! please wish me luck!
Day 1: After I watched till the very end, I built a short but sweet floating blocks with a path that leads to nowhere ( I will build the more I go through this ) but as I went more into building I still had no idea on how to build, make things look perfect and or do things properly. I built a little more but only until my brain can withstand as much as a goldfish, made a few stairs and plopped in a void skybox to make it fit that vibe I was going for, so far things look alright but I will keep going on ahead and see how much I can do with the more info on these videos! Thank you!
Coming from the Unity side of game development, I have to commend how well-explained and beginner friendly this tutorial is, not to mention the learning objective making it harder to get stuck in tutorial hell. Thank you!!
In this lesson's game, i made a big square with an entry filled up with spheres which i found out i could move using the "test" option ad changed the materials of the box and spheres using the material section in the home page. I also found my first problem which is the lighting when i made the roof with another one that is the walls falling down that i solved using the anchor option. In my opinion thsi is a great start and i liked this first half an hour i spent on the studio
I did wanan try to be a good developer on roblox. My dream is becoming an programmer, i've been learning some of the basics language like CSS and HTML. Now my goal is to achive the programmjng language Lua. As guy who likes to learn something new this playist is the best in my opnion to learn Lua. Thank you!
I am 11 years old, and I only made games off of 100-episode playlists that I quit on the first day. I REALLY needed this tutorial. What I did is I changed the color of some blocks and learned how to change the material!! I figured out how to rotate 2 parts to make it look like a triangle, so I made a house with a cool roof! I already made 1 game with 2.2k visits called Free Admin and I'm getting the bombastic crown soon! I made a group for all my games (Dom Development is the group) and hopefully I can finally make my dream simulator after this tutorial I hope you read this
thats awesome… eitherway i’m pretty sure you can’t comment on youtube unelss you are 13+ soo please edit it out before you get reported or stop commenting on youtube.. eitherway that is legit impressive lmao
Got back into wanting to learn so i came back here, with the power of the Mario Paint OST, i shall,, watch these tutorials. Speaking of, what i did for the Learning Objective was mess around with things, i made some two parts to make a log, i grouped them into a model after some finaggling, i made a wall made of the logs, to organize i created a folder to compress all the models into one place.
Day 1: After i watched to the end slowly following what u were doing and repeting that in rs. Learned how to make the sizes different by scaling them to specific numbers, even how to change materials of object. I scrolled through my tools and saw a bunch of stuff that was already made so i added it in like shift to sprint. At the end even made a litlle road and i wanted to add a lamp but wasnt able to achieve the perfect size that i wanted. Really helped me out and i will come back another day to watch the rest 17 videos. TRULY RECCOMEND FOR BEGGINERS!
I have a question: (you will probably explain it in a later episode but I only watched this one. It’s amazing btw) How do u change the scale of the scaling tool. If I want a really thin part I have to use the properties section, which is pretty annoying and I saw ppl doing it? I will now Continue watching this series Ty
Hello! I'm starting this cause I had a idea of a game thank you for this first tutorial. For my challenge I made a island with the colour and scale tool an j moved the spawn point on it to make you spawn there. Im doing 1 episode a day. As you can guess this is day one. SEE YOU ON DAY ✌
I created a small gray rocky cliff by inserting a buncha blocks and wedges and also created a tree using cylinder and sphere parts. I also learned that you could create folders to group parts together to easily organize stuff in the Explorer tab.
I took the 1st "part" and made it into a base or platform of sorts, painted it blue, and then added another one on top thats thin and yellow. Will build an island :D
Hey guys, i was building a little warehouse (pretty badly) and i discovered that you can place a part on top of another turned one to keep it's rotation (jojo reference?). Besides that pretty nice video, thanks for the help to start on this career
I built a tree and duplicated it onto a grass block, it took a while and it looks pretty simple but i like it:) i also used a sphere for the top of the tree to switch things up and the trees look so cute
Allright, im on day 1 of this adventure. I recently got an amazing game idea, im allready a musicician and artist and do a ton of writing as is. So im putting them together as a solo dev for a game idea. I estemate it will take a long time, i have no real idea or good estemate other than 1-2 years. So far today i just messed with the part editor and goofed around with the ambeint world effects like bloom. I found a animation rig for an enemy and got to look a bit at how that all works and it was really interetsting to notice that the creature was made with the basic stone texture and foil texture but it does so much. Joined some parts together to create tall ridiculous structures too just to see if i could. resizing, scaling etc. All i figured out by myself today, excited for the next video tomorrow! (taking written notes helped too). We'll see if i can climb to where my goal is.

Great series, keep it up!
Until that day comes, I’ll keep you all updated on the journey.👌
thanks for BrawlDev for making this video, its very helpful for us who making their own games
Good job 👏
for the learning objective, i've been able to make models exclusively inside Roblox Studio, so i think i got the whole buiderman vibe set in my brain
Thank you :D
thx dawg, my friend wanted me to script his games and you helped out alot
Awesome!
i made a garage using blocks and wedges for the roof, i found out there are different in built materials so i used the brick material for the walls and the tile material for the roof and changed the colours of these, i also discovered that you can group different parts in the explorer as a single model which made managing the build easier and also allowed me to copy and paste it all very easily so i had mutliple garages and i built a strip of them.
I love your vids I was 1 of your 100 subscribers thank you so much and if you do make a tower defense game playlist it will help so much, I know that there are other people that make tower defense playlist but your better in every way more. love you Dood don't give up work hard and stay strong .
I got used to moving in Roblox Studio, understood how the properties work by exploring with them a little bit, and experimented scaling, rotating the spawn and baseplate!
i went into a map , then i looked how it was builed , and then i tried to it for myself ! :)
(nov 3rd 2024)
nobody literary cares what you made go touch grass
@ why are you so toxic
I made a my username using parts! :D just started this guide to learn some scripting and it seems nice! These goals are a amazing concept!
Rating: 10/10 I did my learning Objective! and I made a tower inside of Roblox Studio going to move onto the next lesson now.
i just finished watching your old one, only to realise you have this channel and a new tutorial series
at the time of watching this video i am already fully familiarised with modeling and welding parts on roblox. some of me and my friends are all watching this playlist hoping to become proper developers some day! please wish me luck!
I made a see through window! I love the information you are giving.
Day 1:
After I watched till the very end, I built a short but sweet floating blocks with a path that leads to nowhere ( I will build the more I go through this ) but as I went more into building I still had no idea on how to build, make things look perfect and or do things properly.
I built a little more but only until my brain can withstand as much as a goldfish, made a few stairs and plopped in a void skybox to make it fit that vibe I was going for, so far things look alright but I will keep going on ahead and see how much I can do with the more info on these videos!
Thank you!
I made a snowman and also figured out that I can copy and paste stuff!
Hey, I'm from Brazil and I'm trying to learn how to program. I love watching your videos and learning from them! Thank you!
Coming from the Unity side of game development, I have to commend how well-explained and beginner friendly this tutorial is, not to mention the learning objective making it harder to get stuck in tutorial hell. Thank you!!
At first i i sayed i will not be a scripter but at day 5 i made progress thank u
Day 1:
After i watched to the end slowly following what u were doing and repeting that in rs.
It’s amazing btw)
How do u change the scale of the scaling tool. If I want a really thin part I have to use the properties section, which is pretty annoying and I saw ppl doing it? I will now Continue watching this series
Ty
Hello! I'm starting this cause I had a idea of a game thank you for this first tutorial. For my challenge I made a island with the colour and scale tool an j moved the spawn point on it to make you spawn there. Im doing 1 episode a day. As you can guess this is day one. SEE YOU ON DAY ✌
Great tuto intro well explained and edit !!
Will build an island :D
this is my first time watching something about scripting. wish me luck!
this looks pretty easy to start with , lets just hope i can stay consistent while learning
TYSM i will now WATCH THIS ENITRE playlist
Hey guys, i was building a little warehouse (pretty badly) and i discovered that you can place a part on top of another turned one to keep it's rotation (jojo reference?). Besides that pretty nice video, thanks for the help to start on this career
I made a plain spawn room, pretty bare right now, but a good start.
We'll see if i can climb to where my goal is.
thank you so much for this, i made a ball pit and i can’t wait to learn how to use studio and lua properly 🙂
i did not give up thats why i came to you , you better make me proud!
I made a door out of two parts, a sphere and a rectangle. They are both colored and textured correctly.
That’s basically it 😅
