Whenever anyone tells me about how they want to learn scripting, I always send them this playlist, it’s super well made and at a great pace for beginners
Me and my friend wanted to make a game that we really believe could become very popular. We have a whole story line setup. Cutscene ideas. Themes, chapters, currency, items, monsters and villains, game objectives and much more. We don’t have a ton of experience but we really want to make this project good and spend a lot of time on it. We have a small amount of 3d modeling, coding, and animation experience, but hopefully we can create something legendary. We estimate that itll take around 7 months and about 6 hours a day. Wish us luck Update: Discord is almost done and will be posting logs in there. Development is picking up pace. Ill link the discord when finished.
I made a cartoon building with windows and other stuff, I found out you can hold shift or ctrl to select multiple things, I learned that if you click an object in explorer then hold shift then go down and while holding shift you select all that was in the middle of those to parts, and I learned about models and folders. This was a very good video for beginners like me!
This seems liek a great video for any beginner. Most Roblox Studio how-to series' focus on the basics of programming, and maybe the different script types, but a tutorial teaching you how to navigate Studio and how to use the editor is an amazing way for beginners to learn. I'd suggest that when you start teaching scripting, that you show any documentation page and explain the termonology, as well as the format it's written by
I am 11 years old I really needed this tutorial I really wanna become a game dev and I know I am a child people keep saying I will never become one even at school:( but I never quit so I started looking forward to you so I can start game developing I don’t have a pc yet but I will get one on my birthday hopefully… and I really hope I become super popular it’s my dream to be a game dev I really want to and I really thank you by giving me this tutorial in the future I hope I become better at developing thanks a lot dude Edit: my parents won’t let me get one even on Christmas… :( They said when they get a new house then yes which will NEVER! Happen.
Right now, the series is very similar to my previous beginners guide with minor improvements. Do you guys have suggestions or specific things you want to see in the guide?
Not really dude! Do you have any building tutorials because I think there aren't many good tutorials for it. It would be super cool if you were able to make one for people trying to get on that side of roblox developing.
i’ve decided to relearn scripting, i learned scripting way back in 2019 with TDK but roblox has changed so much that i really need to at this point, thankful to see a guide thats up to date because it really does feel like i can barely salvage the TDK’s guide info without busting my brain to realize that roblox recently got rid of a certain feature for the sake of anti cheats or for absolutely no reason at all.
If you have clicked on this video wanting to become a future game developer, you are already better than 99% of the people who would’ve quit already. Don’t give up on scripting, I don’t know who you are reading this but I believe in you.
caught up to the current advanced series video and finished it. Now I'm here again because despite watching the other beginner series, you can always learn more in your journey.
I made a rubiks cube by creating squares with different colors, combined 9 of each into a group, formed the cube, made outlines in black and then added some textures by moving the colors very slightly out. Im very happy how it looks like now
I just made a few walls different sizes, colors, ad textures. I also looked a little at the workspace. Also your video is a 100000/ 10 very good at explaining. I appreciate you taking the time to do this for the unexperienced but dedicated and creative Noobie creators like myself. TYSM!!
Except explorer doesnt appear and properties doesnt work. I cant see any of the properties to the spawnlocation that he shows in the video, could u please care to explain
okay, this is it. Am gonna watch all your tutorials because am tired of 3D modelling for my game idea and having no knowledge on how to make them interactive.
After this episode, you earned my sub with flying colours! Your intent is clear. You keep the video's digestible, easy to understand and go into detail when needed. You don't over explain or trail off, and the cherry on top? You give learning objectives to further the understanding. 10/10, I look forward to watching the rest in due time!
I made a swing between 2 trees, took me 2 minutes to make the tree in blender and like 4 to make the 3 parts of the swing and position them in the right place. I really want to make stuff I want to make in roblox studio after I did blender modelling, much love to you for making this coherent tutorial!
I appreciate you making this tutorial. Also, for my learning objective, I placed a bunch of blocks and made a small maze out of it. This series has a bunch of resources and is the easiest to understand, thank you.
Ok im new to scripting only used scratch for a few days to understand a bit now im diving head first into learning roblox studio. Wish me luck and see my progress in like 3 months
I’m working on a project that I truly believe has the potential to succeed and gain popularity. I’ve already mapped out ideas for the theme, storyline, items, monsters, NPCs, and other key elements. While I’m unsure when this project will be completed, as there’s still so much for me to learn, I’m confident that this video marks a meaningful step toward creating my dream game. I promise that once this game generates income, I’ll donate 10% to those in need. Until that day comes, I’ll keep you all updated on the journey.👌 thanks for BrawlDev for making this video, its very helpful for us who making their own games
only took me 9 years but i'm finally getting into this stuff lol, thanks so much for making these so quick and concise as someone who already knows scripting from other languages 🙏
lol for me it took 3 the reason is probably because your not the age where you understand it but att some point your going to start getting the hang of it for me it was 11 but i think the average is 12 idk it depends ngl i could be wrong but thats just how it was for me
Thank you I’m a small developer who is trying to make games keeping Roblox more entertaining and fun but I also want people get inspired that they can do anything
im glad this exists, ive wanted to be a dev for forever now, and this really helps, also instead of giving you a couple things that dont really matter in the long term, this can help anyone a lot for a long time. thanks a ton!
What i did is build some parts, i learned to color and make windows, i also accedently clicked right click on part which gave me more things, this was a really helpfull video still in this month and year! thanks
So, I watched a video about how game creators got big, and I felt like I could try. This was the first playlist I saw, and it seems to be helping me out. For the learning objective, I created 6 parts and sized them and moved them into the formation of an r6 character. I colored them into that of a noob's color combination, and replaced the blocky head with a cylinder to form the real r6 look.
This tutorial is perfect in every way. I'm finally getting to grips with the wild world that is ro-deving. For the LO, I spelled my name out of parts!!
I made a simple Gatorade stand. I made the first one as a test named stand 1 and a better ish one named stand 2. I made the stand using parts and then grouped them, which then I turned into a single model. I learned that you can also ctrl and select entiretiy of the parts. I added some already existing models like a sign, glasses, gatorade jug and a duck. The duck was used as a logo to not keep the stand boring. Overall not the best quality build but I have to give credit for me to even starting good job me. Thanks for the video guide really helped a lot!
I quickly made a colorful obby. Tried to change the properties like color and texture of each part everytime I placed a new one. Can't wait to start learning more of the basics!
I really want to make a super cool multi-disaster sinking ship game! I am starting this today and really hopes this will help me, also this tutorial is super well made, sometimes in tutorials I get stuck on things they don't explain like moving around etc, but you went over every little thing to make sure nobody got lost!
I got used to moving in Roblox Studio, understood how the properties work by exploring with them a little bit, and experimented scaling, rotating the spawn and baseplate!
I've already got the basics, but only the basics. I built a little re-creation of my childhood home so I could practice environments in Roblox- Looking forward to making it really something, thanks for this series!
I have a question: (you will probably explain it in a later episode but I only watched this one. It’s amazing btw) How do u change the scale of the scaling tool. If I want a really thin part I have to use the properties section, which is pretty annoying and I saw ppl doing it? I will now Continue watching this series Ty

well the first 3 years trying to script was really frustruating once there i would give up then try but i just sucked untill i came to this age and found you im able to understand perfeclty what your saying thanks!
In this lesson's game, i made a big square with an entry filled up with spheres which i found out i could move using the "test" option ad changed the materials of the box and spheres using the material section in the home page. I also found my first problem which is the lighting when i made the roof with another one that is the walls falling down that i solved using the anchor option. In my opinion thsi is a great start and i liked this first half an hour i spent on the studio
Coming from the Unity side of game development, I have to commend how well-explained and beginner friendly this tutorial is, not to mention the learning objective making it harder to get stuck in tutorial hell. Thank you!!
I saw this tutorial months ago with a head clouded with school exams, now that I have time, Im gonna actually start learning :> So as firts: "Welp, I made a simple obby, if you can call it like that, using prism and spheres, you can't really die so I dunno if it is an obby, but hey, looks kinda kowl"

Thank you!
I created a small gray rocky cliff by inserting a buncha blocks and wedges and also created a tree using cylinder and sphere parts. I also learned that you could create folders to group parts together to easily organize stuff in the Explorer tab.
I made a basic "zen" garden kinda thing. Green Grass block for the ground, a couple white concrete spheres for cool rocks, a series of dark grey granite slabs as a path and a granite disc under a tree. Practiced with Scale, Move, Copy/Paste, importing a model from the toolbox, and changing colors/materials to get specific looks.

Thanks I went from a noobert to pro thanks to you😎
This is like an actual class and I like it 👍😄 also I learned that there are many ways to move a part around😄
Practiced with Scale, Move, Copy/Paste, importing a model from the toolbox, and changing colors/materials to get specific looks.
made a house with windows and learned how to combine parts with ctrl + g , nice tutorial so far
