To everyone watching this vid and reading this comment. I started implementing what he said in this video, and did it for about a month with my Frenchie, Ruby.
What’s crazy to me is that she’s 4 years old, and has never been trained as a puppy, and yet within a month of teaching her how to heel using the process he lays out in this vid, my frenchie Ruby now heels almost perfectly everywhere we go. Rarely gets distracted. She just stays right there on the left of me when we walk, not too far ahead or behind. Just directly off to the left side. It’s nuts. Like magic.
This makes it so much easier to enjoy having her out in public, knowing she will sit/stay/heel when instructed. Super happy.
Thanks so much for the video man, this vid changed the dynamics of how Ruby and I go out for walks and lunch dates in public areas!

Great video! My biggest problema with my FBulldog puppy (10weeks) is that he stops a lot during the walks, when I call him he just sits and ignores.

Are you walking with your puppy or are you still telling your puppy what to do while on his walk ?? Puppy is suppose to feel comfortable and love walks not feel like ohh gosh here comes the part I don’t like , meaning your kind of person always commanding the puppy eventually puppy will learn how to give you the cold shoulder, because you won’t let up on commanding. Gotta love your puppy when his walking. Same if you have a child of your own right ? You won’t bluntly just let him walk ok his own and expect him to heel while walking. Long story short Praise and give favorite treat. And when walking puppy has to walk on your left side. If you place him on your right your letting him your in command and your the superior one here when in fact should be to friends walking

I’ve got a 4 month frenchie girl, petrified of the lead. She’ll wear a harness but freezes when I put the lead on or tries to run away from it if I just let her walk around with it. Help! She doesn’t even seem bothered by treats!

Why are you so keen on the left-hand side? I know a lot of trainers are, but I know quite a few who say that it doesn't matter. I wanna hear your thoughts on this. Thanks for the answer and tnx for making the channel specifically for Frenchies.

This might be a stupid question but what you’re saying is that every time I’m out with the puppy for potty training I can use a Leash? But when we’re practicing heeling he needs to be without a leash? How do I not get these two to clash? I mean if I use a leash while potty training and do heel training everyday , won’t the puppy get mixed ideas about the leash ?
Thank you for your videos! They are absolutely great !

Do it in the garden with a leash for them both. After he learns to heel with the leash try it without the leash.

Hopefully I didn’t miss but I have a question, I will be picking up my 4 month old female puppy and I want her to be well trained and a good companion..but I want to still take her on walks around my neighborhood so she can burn off some energy how can I do so with a lead and it ruin this kind of training?? Keep her close and just try and make her mistakes minimal?

I like your channel, but their is something missing.
You should show real life example how you do it, instead of us having to watch you sitting down and talk the whole webinar
