This would be a nice replacement for my Durango GT Plus Black Top. Being in sales and doing 30,000 miles a year I don’t need to extra power or wasted fuel consumption, but love that it looks just like the ST
What I want is a dash with physical buttons, a naturally aspirated V6 and room for 5. Good thing im spoiled for choice in the used car market that is in my price range and not these overpriced computers on wheels
Over 50k seemes a bit harsh to me BUT after seeing that interior, and tech features, seems pretty nice and i can understand why. Wish the MPG was a bit better tho and a full size sunroof would be nice.
Joe, I would get rid of the black around the wheel flares and have the explorer name in letters on the side. Finally, I would have the roof completely black also.
Agree 2nd row should recline back more. The 3rd row seats is like sitting on cement. Honda pilot 2nd row reclines a lot more and 3rd row seat is more comfortable.

My only concern is, Mr. Raiti: why do the rear turn signals and brake lights on the Ford Explorer facelift combined? I noticed that the early models have rear amber turn signals, but the facelift just got worse.
This Ford Explorer ST-Line is very nice, maybe on the edge of being pricey but would have liked to see another color other than white. Yes I would probably get one of these over a Pilot.

I would “zonk” the fact that it now has red turn signals, which is a downgrade from the amber turn signals on the pre-facelift model. You would think with LED technology these days, it wouldn’t be difficult to implement amber turn signals. Instead, automakers are more focused on making light animations when you approach the vehicle, rather than focus on lighting safety.

Great young professional family vehicle. Can turn up to the office look professional but still cram the family and the gear in on the weekend without requiring multiple vehicles.

All these car manufacturers seem to be obsessed with large diameter wheels. They may look nice but the ride is terrible. My truck came with 22's and I can't wait to change to a smaller wheel so I can have a taller sidewall.
@@lego4virgo no it can't. These 4 cylinder explorers are horrible. Their older NA V6 explorers were bullet proof. Even Toyota is having problems with their smaller turbo engines on big vehicles.
@@CR7Update The 3.5 V6 Explorers had their own problems, so no--not bulletproof. As for the Toyota engine problem, that was a machining issue, not a 'because-its-a-turbo-V6' issue.
...but everything is going to screen control. It's either I am just getting old or like eyes on the road know controls .. they are like braile, don't have to look at them to know what they are.
I think Ford forgot their own mistakes when they did the touch-sense climate controls in the mid 2010s… also, it has everything we need except reliability… sadly!
the only thing i like are the rims, ford keeps the same boring black hard plastic interior , at least take a peek at how Acura, Genesis brings a little color and life to the interior , i get it give the customers a choice long as its black,,lol

Just a suggestion. When reviewing a Ford touch screen, set the display to night mode. The blue background will look better on camera.
