Excellent. Michael Smith was and is an excellent poet. This video shows him in his element. I'm hoping that his one and only debut album get's released on CD. Here's hoping. Thank you for posting this video.

@@sebaldc.2681 Michael was born into a bourgeois family and when he embraces the RASTA religion at a very young age he goes definitively to trenchtown. He was barbarously murdered at the age of 28. The lyrics that he leaves us are of fundamental importance.
      Forever.
      Greetings

Wentvto sunsplash 83 in MoBay got a ride with Chalice from kingston. Who was in the van with them? Mikey Smith. I was too young to fully appreciate the experience but he was a very deep brother. Ill never forget how rude the crowd was when he got on stage and oerformed. He was brilliant but the crowd
wanted dancehall or something else. Mikey was anazing. I saw him in port antonio a month later on the street and we talked about it. Next thing i hear a few months later he was murdered. Devastating. Such a talented and beautiful soul. We will always speak your name Mikey Smith ❤😢❤

I saw Leroy Smart at Reggae Geel on the dancehall stage in 2012. He was disrespected by the crowd too. Got (plastic) cups thrown at him, causing him to leave the stage twice before cutting his show short after about 20 minutes. And he was one of the original dancehall dons.
My point : the dancehall crowd has NO clue when it comes to history and respectful behaviour.

There is a John Peel Session of this man online (somewhere), with 6 or 7 poems from the album, and one short one only released in his bundle "It A Come".
The bundle was also useful for getting the track list below :
    0:18 Redemption Song
    1:10 Say, Natty-Natty
    2:47 I An I Alone
    6:13 Me Cyaan Believe It
    8:18 Redemption Song
