      I’m also wondering how it’s held up. I have gone through way too many mops in the last 20 years it’s super frustrating. All of them seem to be for VERY light use. Any pressure or harder jobs they break. I need a good and sturdy one I can use for many years. Ugh.

    Great review. We have owned the cordless Pro for almost a year now. We use it on tile floors. Our experience is as follows. Pros: It does a great job cleaning without over wetting floor, although some dried-on debris is left behind. The cleaning cycle works very well and allows us to only have to disassemble for cleaning about every other cycle. Cleanup is messy as expected but easy. Cons: The unit completely failed after about three months. The manufacturer sent a new power unit at no charge which I was able to install with little problem. If you "Google" this unit you will find this has been a frequent issue with the Shark. Recently, the unit quit working again due to an erroneous "tank empty" alert. With some help from TH-cam videos, I was able to resolve the issue for now. Hopefully we can depend on no future failures. Conclusion: This vacuum is fit for purpose and cleans very well. I am hesitant to recommend it due to the failures we have experienced. At its price point I expect a more reliable product.

    Thank you for this review. I decided to purchase the corded version, so I didn't have to deal with battery life. The cord was really no trouble. The cleaning solution smells great too. A tip for new buyers, I'd run the machine on the carpet setting for a couple minutes, so the roller really wettens up. It took my machine a bit to get going, but it did the job. My hardwood floors felt much better compared to mopping and had a sheen to them. I did leave a nice scent with an area rug I tried it on, and it seemed to do a decent job of cleaning surface grime. The only downside is that it leaves an inch or so from the walls, so it doesn't quite get up to the edge. I also wish its handle lowered more while still making contact with the floor so I could get under furniture. Ultimately, I'm very happy with it, and I'm looking forward to using it again.

      @@T2_Sug So sorry! I didn't get a notification about your reply. I've been buying the Shark solution. I did try Bissel's carpet spot cleaner once but it created too many bubbles. The roller frothed up and the collection container had too many bubbles in it. I also wonder if you can use other solutions especially now that Bed Bath and Beyond is gone. If anything, maybe the Crosswave solution will work. It's essentially the same machine.
      I definitely would not use any other household cleaning products in it!

      You still have to bend down and physically clean up some spots- I’m a cleaning lady over 30 years experience - the basic go mops you can find at Walmart and other big stores works just as well with same effort level- you physically just release the water/solution container - fill it up reconnect it and use the spray trigger in handle - the pads are washable and it came with a spare pad- works great!!

    This was a great video, really informative, although not official specs but really helpful. I wanted to know about the differences in specs between the cordless and corded version sharks, particularly the RPM, as seen on one of your previous videos (Best hard floor cleaners 2022) the bissell models seemed to have up to 4000 RPM simply because they were the only corded models compared to their compitition in the video, it makes me wonder if that is the case for the corded version of the shark, witch to me would be considered better over the cordless version shark.

It was highly recommended in your previous reviews, which compelled me to buy one. I’m really happy with it and I think it would outperform all of the other hard floor cleaners (I’d really like to see how it does with the glow-in-the-dark test)… maybe you should consider doing a video with their newest model, the F803? 😉

      The benefit to these is that your not using dirty liquid like a mop and bucket but I worry these aren't using enough liquid to even take advantage of that feature and instead are leaving dirt on the floor.

    • @saintejeannedarc9460
      @saintejeannedarc9460 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@themikeroberts If they were leaving dirt then that green stuff wouldn't disappear. These do a better job than traditional mop and bucket. I have a robot scrubber that works similarly. Mine is impractical because I have to block it off everywhere, plus it gets stuck under my island, so I have to block that off w/ a bunch of objects too. Ends up being more work, so one of these is probably the best solution and will save my back alot.

    Excellent review and thank you for keeping it brief but very thorough, organized and relevant. I have one issue with this vacuum which might be a problem for all of these styles of cleaners. The clean solution reservoir needs to be empty in order to mix the solution again. This means you have to use until empty which becomes a problem when using the cleaning mode or you dump the reservoir and refill which wastes expensive solution. They don’t have a ratio for mixing a container ahead of time. I talked to tech support and they didn’t have an answer but said they would escalate. I’m going to fill and measure the reservoir to see how much water it holds and then multiply that by the number of advertised refills that the concentrate makes and add it all to one container for easy refills.

    • @delfordchaffin5617
      @delfordchaffin5617 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dump the partial mix into some other container and when you do that a few times, put that back into the reservoir?

    • @briancoulomb
      @briancoulomb ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@delfordchaffin5617 Not a bad idea. We ended up mixing our own container. It’s 1 1/3 cup of water per dose of cleaner. So 9 1/3 cups mixed with the 7x refill (315 mil) or 25 1/3 cups water with the 19x refill (1 liter).

      @@Frenchfrys17we already do, and it's no more unpleasant than if we vacuumed first. We have a tineco ifloor 3 and the self clean cycle does a fantastic job of cleaning the brush roll and underside.
      The dirty water tank has a strainer that catches most gunk and makes it so it isn't any harder to clean than if we hadn't vacuumed first.
      This might be a bigger issue if we picked up big messes like yogurt and wet food, but we only use it for daily maintenance cleaning. So it's always dirty with standard dirt and the occasional pet hair.
      Having said that, it'd be nice if there were models better with pet hair.

      @@sergeigarcia186 Well I don't see any combs or anti tangle fins on vac mops yet, so I would just buy the one with the widest brushroll.

    Nice review. As most of my home is stained concrete, I have been waiting for a good mop\vac combo that would allow me to clean all my floors and not have to get out a mop. While this machine looks great, I will Shark made it a more "complete" vac with options for wand cleaning etc so that I can get debris under cabinets and behind toilets.

      I have yet to find a rolling/spinning mop style smooth stone countertop/wall cleaner. There are, however, lots of steamers for them.

    So the Shark Hydro vac pro in the cons area wasn't all that bad. It's something I could live with for sure. If this is the only con I'll take it !
    I've been looking for a good vacuum and I may have found it. Although - I read somewhere a few months ago that Shark vacuum makes a vacuum that works well at picking up dog hair. I have a lassie dog that sheds a lot she's old and slow so I'm really interested in the shark vacuum that picks up hair. I hear it works great.

    It cleans well especially for how little water is used. Ill still use my corded bissel though and qill get rid of the shark as it holds WAY more dirty water and the best way to use these is soakiing the floors with a mop then using these to vacuum up the water.

    What do you recommended for dirt and like mud? The office i clean has dirty boots walked through it daily and it get very dirty. We had a cordless dyson vaccum but it broke. So i was trying to find a good vacmop because moping it is very hard because i feel like im just pushing mud around. Im stuck between the bissell crosswave (the original one), tineco floor one s3 and now this shark hydrovac

    My vinyl floor planks have a slight beveled edge that creates a channel for dirt to build up in. Do you think the roller brush would be able to get into the channels and clean that up?

    Is this the one you would recommend over the Tineco S3? I’ve got 3 dogs and the weather here is wet a lot of the time so they drag in a ton of mud. I can swiffer the floor 3 times a day and still have a completely muddy floor at the end of the day, so I’m looking for something that is a little more simple that stock piling 50 swiffer pads.
    Budget isn’t a super huge concern, especially if I can get used, but not really wanting to spend hizero money.
