OUR STORY
We're Meghan & Matt, two travelers from the United States on a journey to travel 1,000,000 miles! For 2 years, we lived in our self converted van and traveled all over North America! During this time, we caught the travel bug, HARD. So we set a goal to travel one million miles! Now, we’re hiking, biking, driving, flying and even training around the world to discover as much as possible! Recently, we sold our van and packed up our lives into bags and boarded a one way flight to Europe, leaving behind no house, no car and not even a house/car. Now we are embarking on our toughest project yet, renovating a 1973 Airstream!

i like the progression of less gentle gutting throughout this video. ending with sledge hammer and sawzaw 🤘🏽
By day 3 I just needed to make quicker progress and that bathroom needed to GO!💪🏼😅

Hi guys. Enjoying your videos. We’ve had an 1962 Airstream Bambi in the yard for over twenty years waiting to remove the upper shell so we can repair the trailer and replace the floor. Can you spell procrastination? I really think you will motivate us to get going! ( Ok, in our defense we have renovated two houses and built a third, but seriously, no more excuses!!)

@Meghanandmatt my curiosity was because we lived in a OLD UGLY 1973 until 2021. My son towed it away..parked it in the woods. Said he wanted to fix it...but sold it instead....probably for junk..lol. it was awful!!!!! Anyway....THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING. Be safe and good luck
Any idea of what an already gutted airstream should cost? I can get a 1968 26' Overlander for $2500. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.
It’s hard to say without seeing the post but I’d say double check these components look good:
-Exterior skins look good, no major dents or scratches
-all the windows are all in tact
-the subfloor is not completely rotten
-interior skins are in tact or at least included if they’re already removed
If all those look relatively fine then $2,500 sounds like a fair price. Make sure to check if it has a clean title if you plan on registering it and your state requires it
