Lol I almost fell off the chair after reading this thread…if you’re talking about Holy Trinity of jazz piano, then you forgot the name undisputed king of improvisation with a capital “I” Keith Jarrett. There has never been anyone who came in close to him in terms of ability to improvise (I mean improvise, not play preconceived licks over and over) play blank slate improvisations. If you don’t know what these are, it’s completely opposite to what most improvisers do. You should probably research non-idiomatic improvisation etc. Amen

I think he doesn’t need a second keyboardist cuz he’s too good 😅. But I was there that day they performed at Tiny Room and the keyboard was probably the loudest. I think for this video in specific they should’ve boosted the keyboard sound because live it sounded great :)
