    Hi. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm a beginner from a country where quilting is not popular and less known. So really I have so much struggle to make a quilt because there is no available FQ, or pre cuts like layer cakes, charm packs and jelly rolls. I thrive with whatever available fabrics I have. I was searching for an easier way or technique to make hunter star quilt. I'm so glad I bumped into your channel. And I also subscribe to see more of your tutorial. I also hope that you have a Facebook page. Maraming salamat po, from Philippines 🇵🇭.

    What is the finished size of the block? I am so glad you posted this!

      The blocks were trimmed to be 8-1/2" square
      2 x 8-1/2 = 17" (when sewing the quarter blocks together)
      Subtract 1/2" (1/4" from each section of the block) for seam allowance
      Which leaves you with a 16-1/2" square

    Nice video! I would like to see this block as a pillow cover. What is the brand name of the cutting mat that swivels that you are using? That looks like it makes things easier.

    • @MoonkinStitchery
      @MoonkinStitchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      The swivel cutting mat is from Fiskars. 😊

    Could you tell the name of your rotating mat and where to find it? It looks like it spins easily. Mine is a hassle to turn. Thanks.

    • @MoonkinStitchery
      @MoonkinStitchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's by Fiskars. You can get it almost anywhere. Of course check local stores first but then you can just search Fiskars Rotating Matt on Amazon and it will pop up. (I believe there are a few sizes available now.)

    How does this differ from the modern hunters star?

    • @MoonkinStitchery
      @MoonkinStitchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fabric placement between background and print fabrics. ☺
