Amen Brother! Thank you for preaching the truth. I was saved in a Pentecostal church but God brought me out after years of confusion and continuing to pray for God to not let me deceived. God so graciously brought preachers like yourself to me through TH-cam when I became totally frustrated with “church” and realizing that what I saw was not the church of the Bible. One Pentecostal preacher told me I didn’t need to read my Bible...that was the final straw.
I was blocked by several Charismatic Pentecostal and evangelist teachers for asking about tongues being connected to kundalini, they flipped out and mobbed up on me, I wouldn't be surprised if they started chanting while reading what I said.

You might want to also look at Les Feldick (TV and TH-cam) and Allen Nolan at Crossway Fellowship (I think) also on TH-cam and his own website. They are all a bit different with their own style, but similar messages. (On most things) Mr. Feldick is not a preacher, but rather more of an informal Bible study, but very good.

Robert breaker be correct with pentecostals not following rules of tongues. But he is in error regarding 1 Cor 14 just being about someone speaking in a church of a different language. Even if u haven't spoken in tongues, you should not support error. I don't believe in the catch phrase of tongues being the initial evidence of being filled with the Spirit, however tongues is indeed a gift. Read the entire 1 Cor 14. In fact, who person you know will come to a church that speaks another language and attempt to speak... Also, if it's as R. Breaker says, why will the bible call it a sign in 14:22. Also, why 14:2 says he speaketh unto God and that it's his spirit that speaketh. There are many clues in Chapter 14, so read with an open mind.
It is very simple to explain Corinthians 14:27. If you would like to listen I would explain. There is two type of speaking in tounges. Tongue as in prayer and tongue as in a message. Paul writes in 14:27, that if we in our tongues speak to the church then yes must be interpreter! 100%! But if I pray in my tongue to God no need of interpreters. There is a speak tongue and Prayer. Paul writes “even tho I pray in unknown tongue, my spirit prays” and why need interpreter for prayer ? Only God needs to hear. 1Cor 14:2 who speaks in unknown tongue speaks to GOD not human because no one understands Him. What do you call speaking to God ofc a prayer. There is a prayer in unknown tongue but also a speaking in a message to the church for interpretation. Understand ?

I have prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit for years, thinking that I was not good enough to receive it because it never happened. Then I heard another pastor saying that it was just for the Jews (dispensationalism), but I still had doubts. However, after your clear and biblical explanation, I have no doubts.

Minister states we are under Paul’s ministry not under Jesus’ ministry. That’s heretic right there. Christ is the Head of the Church. Not Paul!!! How can we not be under Jesus’ ministry but under Paul’s. Those guys Peter and Paul are both dead. Their ministry continues by the Holy Spirit who inspired the scriptures they wrote so that “in all things Christ should have the pre eminence.” We are under the continued ministry of Christ by the Holy Spirit who was given on Pentecost.
43 years ago, I received a phone,call from someone who sounded depressed. I prayed the Lord would help me when I turned to tell her, God loves you. When I did this supernatural joy and light came upon me. So I know I have the Holy Spirit although I do not speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit is in all believers. We do not want to look down upon the Holy Spirit but the Spirit came to point people to Jesus, not Himself.
I was raised in a Pentecostal church, so I know the doctrine about speaking in tongues "requirement" they think it is a sign to the congregation that a person is filled with the holy spirit. Sadly to this day my sisters still think that way. I don't remember if the gospel was shared with me but I was not saved until a few months ago when I had so many questions about Christianity. I never doubted Jesus is the only way or even tried any other false religions but I knew if I wanted to reinforce my faith I needed to read the Bible on my own and ask God for the answers in his word and that is exactly what I did. I read the gospel, repented and I am continually learning. God bless!
I need some clarity. If speaking in tongues was only for the Jews at the time, then how you explain Acts 10:46? Also, the scripture on women prohibited from preaching in church applies to the women of that particular time. In your other videos, you shared that not everything in the Bible is ”applicable” as it solely relates to the time when the account was written. Noah’s ark is a one-time event. Therefore, today's Christians don't need to follow this practice because God appointed this assignment to Noah only.
I speak in toungues and love Jesus, I have served in Africa and in various ministries, have seen people healed and saved in the name of Jesus. I love to read the Bible and pray to the Lord. Its my desire to see souls saved by the Gospel. I dont know why other Christians attack me :( for revealing i speak in toungues when I pray. I will not turn away the gift God gave me and I always feel edifyed when I do it and I always feel I need to be closer to God when I do. Love you all

If Christians mock toungues, deny its power used in private prayer, or call it demonic they will certainly never recive this gift. And also its very dangerous to call the Holy Spirit demonic. The "unforgivable sin" is a touchy subject, it is interesting to note Jesus mentioned it after talking about those who called the miracles Jesus did "demonic". I dont ever want to find myself in this situation. If I think someone is being dramatic or faking it. I still have to hold my tongue and repent if I attack them in my mind.

It's real, it's a gift and if you experience it you will understand that it is a gift. For years I was taught that speaking in tongues had ceased. I never sought the gift. I was critical of it because of what I had been taught. Then suddenly it happened to me and it is a part of my private prayer time now. A beautiful part. Again, I did not seek it, I do not attend a church that speaks of it or encourages it. The only person I have shared this with is my husband. So many stand in judgement and are quick to criticize what they do not understand. For a long time I was one of those people.

I want to thank you for this! An Apostolic told me years ago when he saw me reading my bible at work that I AINT saved if I don't speak in tongues. It devastated me cause I never heard that before. Spent many years at the Pentecostal church(non apostolic) and thats all they did was jump up and down at the alter speaking in tongues and then gossip at the restaurant we went to afterwards. Everybody was on edge looking to see who was speaking in tongues and who wasn't. I finally had enough and went to a non denominational church. I tried everything to speak in tongues but it just would never come out. I thought it was maybe ‘unconfessed’ sin in my life but i saw others speaking in tongues who had sin in their own life. Made no sense. They also walked around never smiling and showing the love of Christ to others. Always so serious. They need to take a chill pill and go out into the world and show the love of God and quit being all gloom and doom. Geeeze!

I have been saved as long as I could remember and this past Sunday an Apostolic pastor told me I wasn’t filled with the Holy Spirit if I didn’t speak in tounges. I said wow I thought if we believe that Jesus Christ is Lord we are saved. He said nope you are not saved nor filled. Fast with us for three weeks abs you’ll speak in tongues. I said I thought that was a gift according to scripture he said nope everyone that is saved will have it. SMH and he has a whole congregation that follow his doctrine and don’t even read their Bible. I thank God for leading me to this message because I almost doubted everything the Lord taught me.

actually we are under Jesus ministry as Paul was under Jesus. The whole Bible is the Word of God and Jesus is that Word of God.. In 1985 , I was woken from sleep and a person was outside the window from the feet up to a rainbow belt and white garment. All I heard was: Iam the Word of God. I didn’t even know it was scripture!
The bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. If we only go by what our English translations of the bible says and we don't have people like brother Breaker to expound on the bible then we could be putting burdens on Christians when in actual fact Jesus said that his burden is easy and light. Take for example the line of scripture I started with "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God " but in actual fact the Greek word for God is not Theos for God but Christos for Christ. Why is this such a big deal well the apostle Paul says that the law of Moses is not of faith. So it not the word of God that brings faith but the word of Christ!

The LORD has blessed me with the gift of speaking in tongues on August 3rd 2020 after three days of prayer and fasting for the gift of tongues, my English praying turned into tongue that was given about 8 at night that lasted into the early morning hours... I am not apart of any Pentecostal church or any church that practices speaking in tongues. The LORD JESUS has also given me the gift of interpretation and understanding what I say. I love to pray in other tongues. Praying in tongues is beautiful.

I just prayed for you that you would continue (even in the future at advanced age) being sharpened in this gift, and be like the sharpest, truest arrow in God’s armoury. I really needed this video. I came to the same conclusion with my research and praying. I have a friend who is constantly saying she is worried about my salvation. I broke down and told her what I feel the scriptures were saying to me. I told her I worried she may be at risk for false doctrine. It was an empass none the less.

That is not even slightly true. Sounds like you missed the whole message of this sermon. The Holy Spirit doesn't make people pass out or shake and run up and down the isle or speak gibberish languages. The Holy Spirit simply guides you, reassures you, convicts you, etc. Maybe an emotion made you do that (at the most) but NOT the Holy Spirit. Show just one Biblical verse where someone passes out, or flops around, because of the Holy Spirit...?

Good point, I was going to add the same thing. If they heard the word from Paul & believed on & repentance through Christ, why lay his hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit, if you are to receive the Holy Spirit by hearing the word.

I came to this video to challenge my beliefs. I am desiring to see both sides and to disprove what I've believed for so long. I am open and am exploring the truth I would like to share my experience with this video. I stopped watching before it was done, not because I am being challenged, but because of the sarcasm. It's hard to take any message being presented as truth seriously and with an open mind when the information presented is heavily laced with expressed opinions, sarcasm, cutting remarks, etc. I would happily watch a video with this teaching, that appears to be solid, if it was presented with love, not bitterness.
I grew up in a Pentecostal church, learned so much scripture and love for the Word. I have never been taught how to speak in tongues. I’ve never heard clucking or rolling, but we do like the worship and dance before the Lord. I have been to other weird Pentecostal churches. My pastor was born in Jordan and spoke 7 languages, as well as Hebrew, Aramaic so I feel blessed
When you feel the holy spirit the first time and you start talking and then singing unnaturally beautifully in a odd language. You can't deny it. I'm not Pentecostal but it changed my life. I stopped smoking, lying, sexual immorality, and now try to follow His will as much as I possibly can. All I want is Jesus after that happened. If you have the Spirit of God in you (when you gave your life) then you've got to believe that is in Him in you who inspires and you are trusting that you are praying through the Spirit to God by faith. Speaking in other tongues (languages) and praying in an unknown tongue are two very different things. Praying in tongues (unknown) - Glossolalia may sound like gibberish to one who isn't discerning. It shouldn't be forced, it cannot be taught but as inspired by the Holy Spirit through faith - which is exactly what you have been doing. Pray away, please. I used to pray for hours each day and God led me to heights I could have never reached on my own. I spoke at the united nations, etc. My only thing was I stopped being consistent, allowed sin in, and wasn't studying the word, and so when trials came, I had challenges and setbacks. Now I know the truth and praying in the spirit for greater things (Romans 8:28). It will empower you and build out your future. I can share a video if you like
I was never taught this in the assemblies of God church. However, without this gift...you are missing out on an abundant life of blessings. This is my own personal experience walking with the Lord the last 40 yrs. Thank God for all the gifts of the holy spirit. He said that it was about someone who spoke another language coming to visit your church and share but ot is clear from scripture that this is not the case. Yes an Apostolic church I use to go to before running into your page one day, made me feel uncomfortable because I felt forced to try to speak In tongues. It affected me so bad I don't go to church much anymore

I was deceived at 13, mother took me to a Pentecostal church. Loved the music and love, went up for the altar call. A woman took me out to the stairs and kept me there for one or two hours till I talked in Gibberish. Confused me till now! >3

I don’t know what church he attended but I’ve never attended a church where I was told that I needed to speak in tongues. No one has told me that I didn’t have the spirit of God if I didn’t speak in tongues. It’s a gift. Not everyone can do it because again it is a Gift of the Holy Spirit. We all have different gifts.
Exactly sis. I think Mr. Breaker is over exaggerating in many things. I do listen to him, but not all church teach what he says although there may be some. The Pentecostal church at least the one I know believes that you receive the Holy Spirit at salvation, just they teach the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for empowerment. When I was little. I would cover my ears when I heard family members speak in tongues. I was utterly repulsed. I have known Jesus since I was 4 and I guess this goes to show the real Holy Spirit in me was warning me when I heard this. I still can’t handle to this day hearing it. It’s like something deep inside just doesn’t want to be around it. I am all for praising the king and worshiping him, spreading the word, helping others.. but never felt right about the tongues part.

Brother Breaker i hope and pray you taste and see how good God is. How close He is when His spirit is filling you up and you feel His presence. Ive been a christian 30+ years and did not feel God and His glory so close to me until i received a gift of tongues. Gift of tongues is never supposed to be spoken from yourself. It’s something that takes over your tongue and your speech.

I am weary about alot of things with people. 1: you have a normal conversation with someone and they start pumping you with scripture, thus say it the lord. Or they have an opinion and pluck scripture out. What happened to talking to a person normally, and having a scripture in the back of your mind. Reminds me of the puffed up Pharisees
Me too. I can honestly say I believe I heard a word form the Lord when praying about what to do with my upset grandpa, it was a powerful echoing "mercy" was the answer to my prayer. He was upset with my grandma because he was having health issues and getting worried and it was upsetting me the way he was going off.

I did speak in tongues only once and it was not my doing it came on me so fast and I was filled to the over flowing of love and powr all wanted to do was praise God and thank him. I did have an interpreter but I was in such awe over what had happened to me I didnt hear what he said. I never spoke in tounges again. Not because I dont want it's just something you cant make happen yourself, only by the holy spirit. It's the most beautiful experience I have ever had. It happened 40 years ago.
When I was water baptized in Jesus’ name back in November of 2020 I had the same experience myself. It was at a Pentecostal church. But I remember it sounding different than what a lot of other’s sounded like. It actually sounded like I was groaning, ( or crying, yet I had no tears) and in a different language.. almost sounded like Spanish and something else, but English is the only language I speak. I remember feeling a sort of pressure from within my stomach pushing upward. It seemed like it lasted a little over a minute, but then as I thought it was finished it started right up again. It was awesome to say the least. And afterwards as I went back to change into my clothes I could feel buzzing throughout my body and i all I wanted to do was jump up and down with pure joy!🥲 Other than that I think I’ve only done it one more time while praying in the shower.. seemed like an actual language 🤷🏻♂️

Me and my Mom used to go to a Pentecostal/charismatic church. I never got much from it, and always felt left out because I couldn't speak in tongues. They preached a separate baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is nowhere ever mentioned in the NT. I went to a week long camp there, and it was pretty much all the "Tongues", and people laughing like zombies, passing out, etc. They taught the prosperity gospel, and what can God do for ME instead of what can I do for God. I worry that my mom might have picked up some attachments there as there appear to be signs of kundalini. I could be wrong, but we are to test the spirits. She developed schizophrenia, and becomes withdrawn, lays in bed all the time, and would no longer respond to most stimuli. One time a part of her hair actually turned red from her laying on it so long. This was when I was a young teenager. Then the police came and took her away and committed her into the mental hospital, gave her ECT treatments, and anti psychotic meds. She would get better for a while until she quits taking her medicine because "God told her to quit taking her medicine". This cycle has gone off several times so far. The previous time she was in they had to get legal authority to teat her, and I visited her, and she swore at me and looked like she wanted to do physical harm to me. Her eyes looked just pure evil. Her eyes and personality were not her at all. The thing is it's almost like there are 2 personalities/tones/personalities. And they keep interrupting each other. She was recently doing pretty well for a good few years, but now she is starting to fall again. She stopped taking her meds again because "God told her to stop taking them". She has also been telling some lies to satisfy others concerned about her so they will leave her alone. I don't think the Holy Spirit would have someone stop taking meds that they cannot function or reason without. Is there such thing as mental illness or is it demonic opression/possesion. She reads her NIV bible like all the time, and her meds do help her and make her "normal". I predict as she declines further, she'll probably stop reading the bible. Nothing I can really do at this point as I can't force someone to take their meds. I just have to take it to the lord in prayer, and lay this burden at the feet of Jesus.
“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” - James 5:14-15 .... I believe this goes for mental illnesses as well.. And especially since you said she might have gotten something attached to her. She may just need a prayer for deliverance. Jesus teaches all about healing the sick and casting out demons. But it must be the prayer of faith, BELIEVING JESUS will do it. May your mother be well in Jesus’ name
What often happens is that far too many teachers who do not have experience in the worship manifestations of the Holy Spirit, and have not seen it done properly, go out to teach error on the subject, and then go out to find all the things done wrong, and there is plenty of that to be found. But in the end, are they building up your faith to receive the gifts of the Spirit or not? That is the question we should be asking. Godly teachers will build you up in your most holy faith, and bring you to where you are able to receive the gifts of God, and walk with them as we ought to.

I knew of people that spoke in tongues. Never was the unknown language interpreted to me as someone being welcomed in their home. I just sat there feeling awkward watching them putting their hands up in the air and falling on the floor. Anyway, the gift of tongues is not meant for every believer. Exactly! Nobody seems to care about that part of scripture! Paul's point was that everybody was trying to speak in tongues, prophecy, give a word of knowledge, etc. all at the same time instead of letting everyone have a turn. There are times when everyone CAN speak in tongues at the same time such as during prayer. Everyone spoke in tongues at the same time at Pentecost, and a few times in Acts. Some churches may take it to the extreme where they are magnifying the gifts over the gift Giver, but some people take it to the other extreme and forbid it altogether, which Paul said not to forbid! He also said, "If anyone will be ignorant, let him be ignorant." It's hard to do though because you know they are missing out!
I speak in toungues and love Jesus, I have served in Africa and in various ministries, have seen people healed and saved in the name of Jesus. I love to read the Bible and pray to the Lord. Its my desire to see souls saved by the Gospel. I dont know why other Christians attack me :( for revealing i speak in toungues when I pray. I will not turn away the gift God gave me and I always feel edifyed when I do it and I always feel I need to be closer to God when I do. Love you all
I love to listen to your teaching , but I hear animosity and offense in your voice . It’s hard to listen to you when you teach from a point of defense vs love to let the Holy Spirit lead people into all truth . I understand your point in “some” doctrine misunderstanding. I do hear you but again I hear offense and your negative opinions in your description. I want the truth period , but I must confess I hear other things in your lesson .
@@jbcfamily4802 there is no attack on tongues speaking but until we realize that the gift of tongue was mainly for preaching the gospel and not only when someone start praying and suddenly the Holy Spirit ascend on him/her but after the prayer the Holy Spirit goes away. Paul was a learned man who travelled the world to preach and hence had the gift of many tongues/ languages. But today the gospel has reached out to many people of different languages so now the gift of tongues only happens when an evangelist finds himself at a place he can't speak their language. The Holy Spirit help that person to propagate the gospel in their language.

Amazing video that has helped me confirm what I already knew. I belong to a Charismatic Church but I do not participate in the false doctrine. God has called me their to speak truth to those caught up in this false doctrine. No, Sunshine, this isn't entirely biblical. For example, read 1 Corinthians 14:2, it says tongues is unknown to man, and only known to God. Kindly be careful about Robert's teaching. Not everything he says is wrong, but I think most of what he says is wrong, unintentionally, of course. Certainly, one doesn't have to speak in tongues to be saved or to receive the Holy Spirit. Cornelius and his household received the Holy Spirit immediately they believed the gospel spoken to them by Peter. I hope this helps. Grace and peace, sister!
Luther-King Ekama I agree. He ruled that kind of tongues out as “demonic”. When in the Bible it says “it’s private tongues not understood by man but only between you and God. It should only be spoke between you and God and not in church.” I agree he does twist the words of the Bible a little in this teaching. However pretty good overall!
I remember also going to a Pentecostal church back in the 80’s it was actually a men’s home program that I went into and them having a woman preacher, and I being told to practice speaking in tongues. I left that that place a short time later.

Was Paul condemning the initiation of the Church in Acts 2...? Obv not. Clearly they are 2 separate subjects altogether. Also, you may want to reexamine the scriptures before ascribing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God (aka the PROMISE OF THE FATHER) as "possession of spirits".
No need to speak in tongues if you have the Spirit... If you are lead of God. Go learn another language like Chinese and preach the gospel then poeple will be impressed maybe even saved if done with faith through Grace.

Speaking in tongues is something that You control. You will never become possessed. You move your tongue; you open your mouth; you engage your vocal cords. It is done as you will, when and where you like. Most folks that are born again and don't speak in tongues remain silent for many different reasons. They may lack understanding, faith, they may have fear or doubt. It doesn't mean that they are not born again. They may be believing wrongly. They may not even know that they've been given the gift. Only they, our Lord and our Father know what's holding them back. In most cases, if they get honest with themselves, they will know what the problem is. Speaking in tongues develops you spiritually. Spiritually we all start out as babes and must grow. Our Father is no respecter of persons. All of the gifts are available to the believer. Tongues, in your private prayer life, is key to your further development. It's your foundation! In every case of people being born again, if they had not yet spoken in tongues, the disciples corrected the issue. It's Very Important! Flopping around in the aisle and everyone acting like they've been taken over (possessed) does nothing but confuse and drive rational folks away. When you see these things it's fleshly man getting involved and acting a fool. Everything is to be done decent and orderly in a gathering of believers. To deny this gift is to deny the gift of holy spirit. To mock this gift is the act of committing the unforgivable sin. Speaking in tongues is "praying in the spirit." God is a spirit and those that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth. Knowing that your fleshly mind can not please God in any way, speaking in tongues should be the main way that you have fellowship with your Father. We are told that we don't even know what we should pray for. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Paul stated that he thanked God that he spoke in tongues more than any of them. Speaking in tongues (without interpretation) is for YOU. It edifies YOU. It's your key to having powerful, answered prayers and is how you manifest the power to perform miracles. Building up the body of believers is important but so too is your own spiritual development! Look at this verse..... 1Corinthians 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. Do you see the words"except he interpret?" Prophesy is greater unless tongues are spoken and then interpreted. It's because the edifying of the body is better than just one person receiving edification. This is why we gather together for fellowship. We edify and teach one another. Many get this wrong...One person speaks in tongues and a different person gives the interpretation. This isn't how we are told to operate the spirit. Look at this verse... 1Corinthians 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. Do you see it? The person speaking in tongues is the person that believes (prays) for an interpretation. Keep in mind that this is when speaking in a gathering of believers that are having fellowship and worship. ALL of the gifts are available however, one must develop and grow. My Father is no respecter of persons. Should he give you a better gift than he gives me or vice versa? We are babes and require milk. We must grow into eating meat! Speaking in tongues is a sign but so is interpretation. When gathered for worship, let 2 or 3 speak in tongues (a sign for the unbeliever) but let just one of them speak in tongues and interpret. Interpretation is very much like prophesy. It's purpose is to edify the church body. The person who speaks in the tongue will be the person that interprets that tongue. Paul is trying to ensure that everything is done in an orderly manner. 1Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. Does verse 26 sound like these gifts aren't given to everyone? It sounds to me like they all have the gifts and all are eager to share. Maybe a bit too eager and it's causing interruption and confusion. Again, he is telling them to conduct their worshiping in a decent and orderly fashion. How do you interpret? You simply believe to. It's called "speaking in tongues with understanding." Look at the following verse... 1Corinthians 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Speaking in tongues is prayer. Not only is it prayer but it is PERFECT prayer. It is worshiping "in the spirit." It should be the foundation of your worship! It's importance can not be over-stressed! In the above verse, Paul is still clearly speaking about speaking in tongues. The context has not changed. Here he calls it praying with the spirit. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (You MUST worship him in spirit.) 1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. * no man can say that Jesus is Lord, but by holy spirit!*** Speaking by the spirit of God is speaking in tongues. It is foreign to our fleshly minds! We are the TRUE WORSHIPERS spoken of in the following verse.... John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. This gift of holy spirit wasn't available to believers of the past. It is the Comforting Spirit and wasn't made available until after our Lord ascended. Do you see it? Christ called us the TRUE WORSHIPPERS. John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Folks, you can not worship your Father any other way. Having a peaceful, loving mind state while praying isn't enough. Your worship can not come from your fleshy mind. It must come from the spirit, the self same spirit that makes groans and sounds that we can not comprehend. I could teach for a week straight on this subject but will end here by asking, "Do you want answered prayers? Would you like to see miracles happening in your life? Do you want to exercise power that can move mountains?" If so, start speaking in tongues! I am a believer of the gospel of Christ. I have the gift of tongue which is another language. How do i know? I was trying to discern the language that i may know how it can edify the gift. Close to a couple of years later i found out the language. Never did i use it in church or in a loud voice in public. I know having the gift is not something to be boastful about. Sometimes during rivate prayer and worship, the utterance came without intention and yes, i do understand. It is not blabbering but a language with words spoken one with praise and humility i could understand. Until i can edify others, i am keeping quiet. I welcome any correction if anyone is led to do so. I admit that i am not finish with learning all about God.

I'm curious how one should interpret 1 Corinthians 11:5 in light of what you've said: "But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered." In this instance, Paul is giving specific rules to women for when they do prophesy, not denying them that right entirely. @leahdegruchy You have to understand the context of what their culture was-what having their heads covered meant. It meant submission and also wearing clothing that showed reverence for God. So the main issue wasn’t the covering, it was the meaning of the covering. In our culture we don’t do head coverings, but we DO dress and do things that show honor and reverence for God. For example, wearing proper clothing, and having a proper and reverent attitude.
My mother in law currently goes to a church where all of them ‘speak in tongues’. She also claims that she speaks in tongues, but it’s just gibberish. When I told her that it’s meant to be an existing language, she also said that it does not have to be. I don’t know how else to present the truth to her, and how to help her out of this charismatic movement.

God so graciously brought preachers like yourself to me through TH-cam when I became totally frustrated with “church” and realizing that what I saw was not the church of the Bible. One Pentecostal preacher told me I didn’t need to read my Bible...that was the final straw.
I was blocked by several Charismatic Pentecostal and evangelist teachers for asking about tongues being connected to kundalini, they flipped out and mobbed up on me, I wouldn't be surprised if they started chanting while reading what I said.

You might want to also look at Les Feldick (TV and TH-cam) and Allen Nolan at Crossway Fellowship (I think) also on TH-cam and his own website. They are all a bit different with their own style, but similar messages. (On most things) Mr. Feldick is not a preacher, but rather more of an informal Bible study, but very good.

Robert breaker be correct with pentecostals not following rules of tongues. But he is in error regarding 1 Cor 14 just being about someone speaking in a church of a different language. Even if u haven't spoken in tongues, you should not support error. I don't believe in the catch phrase of tongues being the initial evidence of being filled with the Spirit, however tongues is indeed a gift. Read the entire 1 Cor 14. In fact, who person you know will come to a church that speaks another language and attempt to speak... Also, if it's as R. Breaker says, why will the bible call it a sign in 14:22. Also, why 14:2 says he speaketh unto God and that it's his spirit that speaketh. There are many clues in Chapter 14, so read with an open mind.

Paul writes in 14:27, that if we in our tongues speak to the church then yes must be interpreter! 100%! But if I pray in my tongue to God no need of interpreters. There is a speak tongue and Prayer. I have prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit for years, thinking that I was not good enough to receive it because it never happened. Then I heard another pastor saying that it was just for the Jews (dispensationalism), but I still had doubts. However, after your clear and biblical explanation, I have no doubts.

43 years ago, I received a phone,call from someone who sounded depressed. I prayed the Lord would help me when I turned to tell her, God loves you. When I did this supernatural joy and light came upon me. So I know I have the Holy Spirit although I do not speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit is in all believers. We do not want to look down upon the Holy Spirit but the Spirit came to point people to Jesus, not Himself.
I was raised in a Pentecostal church, so I know the doctrine about speaking in tongues "requirement" they think it is a sign to the congregation that a person is filled with the holy spirit. Sadly to this day my sisters still think that way. I don't remember if the gospel was shared with me but I was not saved until a few months ago when I had so many questions about Christianity. I never doubted Jesus is the only way or even tried any other false religions but I knew if I wanted to reinforce my faith I needed to read the Bible on my own and ask God for the answers in his word and that is exactly what I did. I read the gospel, repented and I am continually learning. God bless!
I need some clarity. If speaking in tongues was only for the Jews at the time, then how you explain Acts 10:46? Also, the scripture on women prohibited from preaching in church applies to the women of that particular time. In your other videos, you shared that not everything in the Bible is ”applicable” as it solely relates to the time when the account was written. Noah’s ark is a one-time event. Therefore, today's Christians don't need to follow this practice because God appointed this assignment to Noah only.
I speak in toungues and love Jesus, I have served in Africa and in various ministries, have seen people healed and saved in the name of Jesus. I love to read the Bible and pray to the Lord. Its my desire to see souls saved by the Gospel. I dont know why other Christians attack me :( for revealing i speak in toungues when I pray. I will not turn away the gift God gave me and I always feel edifyed when I do it and I always feel I need to be closer to God when I do. Love you all

If Christians mock toungues, deny its power used in private prayer, or call it demonic they will certainly never recive this gift. And also its very dangerous to call the Holy Spirit demonic. The "unforgivable sin" is a touchy subject, it is interesting to note Jesus mentioned it after talking about those who called the miracles Jesus did "demonic". I dont ever want to find myself in this situation. If I think someone is being dramatic or faking it. I still have to hold my tongue and repent if I attack them in my mind.

It's real, it's a gift and if you experience it you will understand that it is a gift. For years I was taught that speaking in tongues had ceased. I never sought the gift. I was critical of it because of what I had been taught. Then suddenly it happened to me and it is a part of my private prayer time now. A beautiful part. Again, I did not seek it, I do not attend a church that speaks of it or encourages it. The only person I have shared this with is my husband. So many stand in judgement and are quick to criticize what they do not understand. For a long time I was one of those people.

I want to thank you for this! An Apostolic told me years ago when he saw me reading my bible at work that I AINT saved if I don't speak in tongues. It devastated me cause I never heard that before. Spent many years at the Pentecostal church(non apostolic) and thats all they did was jump up and down at the alter speaking in tongues and then gossip at the restaurant we went to afterwards. Everybody was on edge looking to see who was speaking in tongues and who wasn't. I finally had enough and went to a non denominational church. I tried everything to speak in tongues but it just would never come out. I thought it was maybe ‘unconfessed’ sin in my life but i saw others speaking in tongues who had sin in their own life. Made no sense. They also walked around never smiling and showing the love of Christ to others. Always so serious. They need to take a chill pill and go out into the world and show the love of God and quit being all gloom and doom. Geeeze!

I have been saved as long as I could remember and this past Sunday an Apostolic pastor told me I wasn’t filled with the Holy Spirit if I didn’t speak in tounges. I said wow I thought if we believe that Jesus Christ is Lord we are saved. He said nope you are not saved nor filled. Fast with us for three weeks abs you’ll speak in tongues. I said I thought that was a gift according to scripture he said nope everyone that is saved will have it. SMH and he has a whole congregation that follow his doctrine and don’t even read their Bible. I thank God for leading me to this message because I almost doubted everything the Lord taught me.

The LORD has blessed me with the gift of speaking in tongues on August 3rd 2020 after three days of prayer and fasting for the gift of tongues, my English praying turned into tongue that was given about 8 at night that lasted into the early morning hours... I am not apart of any Pentecostal church or any church that practices speaking in tongues. The LORD JESUS has also given me the gift of interpretation and understanding what I say. I love to pray in other tongues.

I really needed this video. I came to the same conclusion with my research and praying. I have a friend who is constantly saying she is worried about my salvation. I broke down and told her what I feel the scriptures were saying to me. I told her I worried she may be at risk for false doctrine. It was an empass none the less.

I came to this video to challenge my beliefs. I am desiring to see both sides and to disprove what I've believed for so long. I am open and am exploring the truth I would like to share my experience with this video. I stopped watching before it was done, not because I am being challenged, but because of the sarcasm. It's hard to take any message being presented as truth seriously and with an open mind when the information presented is heavily laced with expressed opinions, sarcasm, cutting remarks, etc. I would happily watch a video with this teaching, that appears to be solid, if it was presented with love, not bitterness.

I grew up in a Pentecostal church, learned so much scripture and love for the Word. I have never been taught how to speak in tongues. I’ve never heard clucking or rolling, but we do like the worship and dance before the Lord. I have been to other weird Pentecostal churches. My pastor was born in Jordan and spoke 7 languages, as well as Hebrew, Aramaic so I feel blessed
When you feel the holy spirit the first time and you start talking and then singing unnaturally beautifully in a odd language. You can't deny it. I'm not Pentecostal but it changed my life. I stopped smoking, lying, sexual immorality, and now try to follow His will as much as I possibly can. All I want is Jesus after that happened. There are many gifts, we do not all receive the same one. I asked for the holy spirit to come upon me and I received it and that gift with it.

If you have the Spirit of God in you (when you gave your life) then you've got to believe that is in Him in you who inspires and you are trusting that you are praying through the Spirit to God by faith. Speaking in other tongues (languages) and praying in an unknown tongue are two very different things. Praying in tongues (unknown) - Glossolalia may sound like gibberish to one who isn't discerning. It shouldn't be forced, it cannot be taught but as inspired by the Holy Spirit through faith - which is exactly what you have been doing. Pray away, please. I used to pray for hours each day and God led me to heights I could have never reached on my own. I spoke at the united nations, etc. My only thing was I stopped being consistent, allowed sin in, and wasn't studying the word, and so when trials came, I had challenges and setbacks. When I was little. I would cover my ears when I heard family members speak in tongues. I was utterly repulsed. I have known Jesus since I was 4 and I guess this goes to show the real Holy Spirit in me was warning me when I heard this. I still can’t handle to this day hearing it. It’s like something deep inside just doesn’t want to be around it. I am all for praising the king and worshiping him, spreading the word, helping others.. but never felt right about the tongues part.

Me too. I can honestly say I believe I heard a word form the Lord when praying about what to do with my upset grandpa, it was a powerful echoing "mercy" was the answer to my prayer.

I did speak in tongues only once and it was not my doing it came on me so fast and I was filled to the over flowing of love and powr all wanted to do was praise God and thank him. I did have an interpreter but I was in such awe over what had happened to me I didnt hear what he said. I never spoke in tounges again. Not because I dont want it's just something you cant make happen yourself, only by the holy spirit. It's the most beautiful experience I have ever had. It happened 40 years ago.
When I was water baptized in Jesus’ name back in November of 2020 I had the same experience myself. It was at a Pentecostal church. But I remember it sounding different than what a lot of other’s sounded like. It actually sounded like I was groaning, ( or crying, yet I had no tears) and in a different language.. almost sounded like Spanish and something else, but English is the only language I speak. I remember feeling a sort of pressure from within my stomach pushing upward. It seemed like it lasted a little over a minute, but then as I thought it was finished it started right up again. It was awesome to say the least. And afterwards as I went back to change into my clothes I could feel buzzing throughout my body and i all I wanted to do was jump up and down with pure joy!🥲 Other than that I think I’ve only done it one more time while praying in the shower.. seemed like an actual language 🤷🏻♂️

Me and my Mom used to go to a Pentecostal/charismatic church. I never got much from it, and always felt left out because I couldn't speak in tongues. They preached a separate baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is nowhere ever mentioned in the NT. I went to a week long camp there, and it was pretty much all the "Tongues", and people laughing like zombies, passing out, etc. They taught the prosperity gospel, and what can God do for ME instead of what can I do for God. I worry that my mom might have picked up some attachments there as there appear to be signs of kundalini. I could be wrong, but we are to test the spirits. She developed schizophrenia, and becomes withdrawn, lays in bed all the time, and would no longer respond to most stimuli. One time a part of her hair actually turned red from her laying on it so long. This was when I was a young teenager. Then the police came and took her away and committed her into the mental hospital, gave her ECT treatments, and anti psychotic meds. She would get better for a while until she quits taking her medicine because "God told her to quit taking her medicine". This cycle has gone off several times so far. The previous time she was in they had to get legal authority to teat her, and I visited her, and she swore at me and looked like she wanted to do physical harm to me. Her eyes looked just pure evil. Her eyes and personality were not her at all. The thing is it's almost like there are 2 personalities/tones/personalities. And they keep interrupting each other. She was recently doing pretty well for a good few years, but now she is starting to fall again. She stopped taking her meds again because "God told her to stop taking them". She has also been telling some lies to satisfy others concerned about her so they will leave her alone. I don't think the Holy Spirit would have someone stop taking meds that they cannot function or reason without. Is there such thing as mental illness or is it demonic opression/possesion. She reads her NIV bible like all the time, and her meds do help her and make her "normal". I predict as she declines further, she'll probably stop reading the bible. Nothing I can really do at this point as I can't force someone to take their meds. I just have to take it to the lord in prayer, and lay this burden at the feet of Jesus.

- James 5:14-15 .... I believe this goes for mental illnesses as well.. And especially since you said she might have gotten something attached to her. She may just need a prayer for deliverance. Jesus teaches all about healing the sick and casting out demons. But it must be the prayer of faith, BELIEVING JESUS will do it. May your mother be well in Jesus’ name
The gift of interpretation is a gift from God
What often happens is that far too many teachers who do not have experience in the worship manifestations of the Holy Spirit, and have not seen it done properly, go out to teach error on the subject, and then go out to find all the things done wrong, and there is plenty of that to be found. But in the end, are they building up your faith to receive the gifts of the Spirit or not? That is the question we should be asking. Godly teachers will build you up in your most holy faith, and bring you to where you are able to receive the gifts of God, and walk with them as we ought to.

I knew of people that spoke in tongues. Never was the unknown language interpreted to me as someone being welcomed in their home. I just sat there feeling awkward watching them putting their hands up in the air and falling on the floor.
Anyway, the gift of tongues is not meant for every believer.

When the bible says something, we are responsible to act upon it, God did not call us to be much much..Tongues is a Demonic language and if the people who do it are under demonic influences, don't you think we as his servants to do Gods bidding, theirs no place for sin and being under the influence of tongues of another strange evil talking and so on... Exactly! Nobody seems to care about that part of scripture! Paul's point was that everybody was trying to speak in tongues, prophecy, give a word of knowledge, etc. all at the same time instead of letting everyone have a turn. There are times when everyone CAN speak in tongues at the same time such as during prayer. Everyone spoke in tongues at the same time at Pentecost, and a few times in Acts. Some churches may take it to the extreme where they are magnifying the gifts over the gift Giver, but some people take it to the other extreme and forbid it altogether, which Paul said not to forbid! He also said, "If anyone will be ignorant, let him be ignorant." It's hard to do though because you know they are missing out!
I speak in toungues and love Jesus, I have served in Africa and in various ministries, have seen people healed and saved in the name of Jesus. I love to read the Bible and pray to the Lord. Its my desire to see souls saved by the Gospel. I dont know why other Christians attack me :( for revealing i speak in toungues when I pray. I will not turn away the gift God gave me and I always feel edifyed when I do it and I always feel I need to be closer to God when I do. Love you all
I love to listen to your teaching , but I hear animosity and offense in your voice . It’s hard to listen to you when you teach from a point of defense vs love to let the Holy Spirit lead people into all truth . I understand your point in “some” doctrine misunderstanding. I do hear you but again I hear offense and your negative opinions in your description. I want the truth period , but I must confess I hear other things in your lesson .
@@jbcfamily4802 there is no attack on tongues speaking but until we realize that the gift of tongue was mainly for preaching the gospel and not only when someone start praying and suddenly the Holy Spirit ascend on him/her but after the prayer the Holy Spirit goes away. Paul was a learned man who travelled the world to preach and hence had the gift of many tongues/ languages. But today the gospel has reached out to many people of different languages so now the gift of tongues only happens when an evangelist finds himself at a place he can't speak their language. The Holy Spirit help that person to propagate the gospel in their language.

I love to speak in toungues, I am encouraged, the more I do, I feel so close to the Holy Spirit, it makes me want to read more and speak more about Him. God has called me their to speak truth to those caught up in this false doctrine. Great video, all I would say is that it could have been delivered with more love and less judgement to those being deceived, it's God that will judge, not us.

Thank you Brother for an indepth insight in to a subject that is been controversial to me from the time that I accepted lord Jesus Christ as my personal saviour 🙏 I attend a charismatic church back home every now and again the preacher from the Pulpit urges the congregation to pray in an unknown tongue everyone starts shouting and I get very disturbed 😮most often I used to wonder.
All i could say is that the bible says to pray for all that they may see the truth.Let us b guided by the spirit.May God have mercy on all teachers because if u interpret the bible wrong,there is a consequence.So for me ill keep all in prayer.Must fast and pray for the truth.Always n let the spirit guide you.God Bless

No, Sunshine, this isn't entirely biblical. For example, read 1 Corinthians 14:2, it says tongues is unknown to man, and only known to God.
Kindly be careful about Robert's teaching. Not everything he says is wrong, but I think most of what he says is wrong, unintentionally, of course.
Certainly, one doesn't have to speak in tongues to be saved or to receive the Holy Spirit. Cornelius and his household received the Holy Spirit immediately they believed the gospel spoken to them by Peter.

Luther-King Ekama I agree. He ruled that kind of tongues out as “demonic”. When in the Bible it says “it’s private tongues not understood by man but only between you and God. It should only be spoke between you and God and not in church.” I agree he does twist the words of the Bible a little in this teaching. However pretty good overall!
I remember also going to a Pentecostal church back in the 80’s it was actually a men’s home program that I went into and them having a woman preacher, and I being told to practice speaking in tongues. I left that that place a short time later.

@@viktorj.w.garnus8369 It is proven with ease. 120 spake in tongues at the same time in Acts. In 1 Corin 14, Paul tells them only 2 or 3 can speak in tongues at a time. Was Paul condemning the initiation of the Church in Acts 2...? Obv not. Clearly they are 2 separate subjects altogether.
Also, you may want to reexamine the scriptures before ascribing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God (aka the PROMISE OF THE FATHER) as "possession of spirits".

Speaking in tongues is something that You control. You will never become possessed. You move your tongue; you open your mouth; you engage your vocal cords. It is done as you will, when and where you like. Most folks that are born again and don't speak in tongues remain silent for many different reasons. They may lack understanding, faith, they may have fear or doubt. It doesn't mean that they are not born again. They may be believing wrongly. They may not even know that they've been given the gift. Only they, our Lord and our Father know what's holding them back. In most cases, if they get honest with themselves, they will know what the problem is.
Speaking in tongues develops you spiritually. Spiritually we all start out as babes and must grow. Our Father is no respecter of persons. All of the gifts are available to the believer. Tongues, in your private prayer life, is key to your further development. It's your foundation! In every case of people being born again, if they had not yet spoken in tongues, the disciples corrected the issue. It's Very Important!
Flopping around in the aisle and everyone acting like they've been taken over (possessed) does nothing but confuse and drive rational folks away. When you see these things it's fleshly man getting involved and acting a fool. Everything is to be done decent and orderly in a gathering of believers. To deny this gift is to deny the gift of holy spirit. To mock this gift is the act of committing the unforgivable sin.
Speaking in tongues is "praying in the spirit." God is a spirit and those that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth. Knowing that your fleshly mind can not please God in any way, speaking in tongues should be the main way that you have fellowship with your Father. We are told that we don't even know what we should pray for.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Paul stated that he thanked God that he spoke in tongues more than any of them.
Speaking in tongues (without interpretation) is for YOU. It edifies YOU. It's your key to having powerful, answered prayers and is how you manifest the power to perform miracles. Building up the body of believers is important but so too is your own spiritual development!
Look at this verse..... 1Corinthians 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
Do you see the words"except he interpret?" Prophesy is greater unless tongues are spoken and then interpreted. It's because the edifying of the body is better than just one person receiving edification. This is why we gather together for fellowship. We edify and teach one another.
Many get this wrong...One person speaks in tongues and a different person gives the interpretation. This isn't how we are told to operate the spirit. Look at this verse...
1Corinthians 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
Do you see it? The person speaking in tongues is the person that believes (prays) for an interpretation. Keep in mind that this is when speaking in a gathering of believers that are having fellowship and worship.
ALL of the gifts are available however, one must develop and grow. My Father is no respecter of persons. Should he give you a better gift than he gives me or vice versa? We are babes and require milk. We must grow into eating meat!
Speaking in tongues is a sign but so is interpretation. When gathered for worship, let 2 or 3 speak in tongues (a sign for the unbeliever) but let just one of them speak in tongues and interpret. Interpretation is very much like prophesy. It's purpose is to edify the church body. The person who speaks in the tongue will be the person that interprets that tongue. Paul is trying to ensure that everything is done in an orderly manner.
1Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
Does verse 26 sound like these gifts aren't given to everyone? It sounds to me like they all have the gifts and all are eager to share. Maybe a bit too eager and it's causing interruption and confusion. Again, he is telling them to conduct their worshiping in a decent and orderly fashion.
How do you interpret? You simply believe to. It's called "speaking in tongues with understanding." Look at the following verse...

Speaking in tongues is prayer. Not only is it prayer but it is PERFECT prayer. It is worshiping "in the spirit." It should be the foundation of your worship! It's importance can not be over-stressed!
In the above verse, Paul is still clearly speaking about speaking in tongues. The context has not changed. Here he calls it praying with the spirit. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (You MUST worship him in spirit.)
1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Speaking by the spirit of God is speaking in tongues. It is foreign to our fleshly minds! We are the TRUE WORSHIPERS spoken of in the following verse....
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
This gift of holy spirit wasn't available to believers of the past. It is the Comforting Spirit and wasn't made available until after our Lord ascended. Do you see it? Christ called us the TRUE WORSHIPPERS.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Folks, you can not worship your Father any other way. Having a peaceful, loving mind state while praying isn't enough. Your worship can not come from your fleshy mind. It must come from the spirit, the self same spirit that makes groans and sounds that we can not comprehend.
I could teach for a week straight on this subject but will end here by asking, "Do you want answered prayers? Would you like to see miracles happening in your life? Do you want to exercise power that can move mountains?" If so, start speaking in tongues! Keep it in your private prayer life if you must, until you feel comfortable and have developed enough to do it in a gathering of believers. Speaking in tongues is your spiritual foundation....PERIOD. Tysm! I was just speaking to my pastor and he explain that this man is very wrong. Hes been tainted by his old church. Did not mean speaking in tongues is wrong or only for myself. When i was delivered my pastor spoke in tongues and i hated it! It made me angry and i remember hissing and growling and shaking my head. Plugging my ears really hard to stop him from speaking in tongues. It was so powerful. Speaking in tongues grows us spiritually and i was recently Givin this gift while praying. I will receive it w gladness. I am born again. And i know i have the Holy Spirit in me. Be blessed

This is the best sermon and preaching of tongues. I am tired of this Pentecostal and charismatic movement doing weird sounds and make a mockery of the Bible . I believe the speaking of tongues in the Bible but not the ones they do in Pentecostal church where they make animal noises . That is an evil spirit called kundalini which have risen to Pentecostal and charismatic movement thats why so many people in those churches fall into fornication and yet they claim to speak in tongues.

I come from a place where kundalini spirit are practised and thats the same spirit practised in Pentecostal and charismatic church is practising. God Bless you brother, My pastor has taught me this same lesson you’re providing here. Whatever “Pentecostal” church tells you, you have to speak in tongue to receive the Holy Spirit is mislead. However I myself am Pentecostal and can say not all members in my church speak tongues. I feel like your speech of “Pentecostal Movement” is bad choice however I don’t doubt your experience. This is why we must Test the Spirits as scripture says. Again like you said it’s about edifying the church, hope my wording is understandable. God bless.

How are you saying all that and not fearing God ?
I am a believer of the gospel of Christ. I have the gift of tongue which is another language. How do i know? I was trying to discern the language that i may know how it can edify the gift. Close to a couple of years later i found out the language. Never did i use it in church or in a loud voice in public. I know having the gift is not something to be boastful about. Sometimes during rivate prayer and worship, the utterance came without intention and yes, i do understand. It is not blabbering but a language with words spoken one with praise and humility i could understand. Until i can edify others, i am keeping quiet. I welcome any correction if anyone is led to do so. I admit that i am not finish with learning all about God.

I'm curious how one should interpret 1 Corinthians 11:5 in light of what you've said: "But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered." In this instance, Paul is giving specific rules to women for when they do prophesy, not denying them that right entirely. @leahdegruchy You have to understand the context of what their culture was-what having their heads covered meant. It meant submission and also wearing clothing that showed reverence for God. So the main issue wasn’t the covering, it was the meaning of the covering. In our culture we don’t do head coverings, but we DO dress and do things that show honor and reverence for God. For example, wearing proper clothing, and having a proper and reverent attitude.
My mother in law currently goes to a church where all of them ‘speak in tongues’. She also claims that she speaks in tongues, but it’s just gibberish. When I told her that it’s meant to be an existing language, she also said that it does not have to be.
I don’t know how else to present the truth to her, and how to help her out of this charismatic movement.
