    It’s so commendable that you were able to pay off debt while raising four children. It just shows it can be done. My husband and I struggled with infertility for years and while it was difficult emotionally we just decided to make the best of the time and just to keep paying off as much of our mortgage as possible. When we had paid off half of our mortgage there was an opportunity to buy a larger home. We were going through fertility treatments still and so we continued to make the best of our time while I was still working. In the end we adopted our son after nine years of marriage and by that time we were mortgage free. By just cutting back, resisting temptation and being more frugal it is possible.

      That means so much! I am always trying more and more to be myself in front of the camera and remember that I am just talking with friends, so that encourages my heart.

    Hahaha Lana, the library card I love you. I do owe $5 right now because I have five books on hold for too long. But I despise taking the kids to the library while they are all young I have opted to only put books I know are good on hold and made a rule that if the kids grab one off the shelf I have to read it first. The audiobooks are really a benefit though esp. in this season of having a nursing infant.

      Yes I do miss the library at times haha there are so many benefits, but it was another thing to keep up with and haha I know you get it

    We don't buy cut flowers much, unless it's our actual anniversary, premium gas, subscriptions, expensive cleaning products, skin care products, different sauces and condiments, home decor items, crafting kits for kids, or things for the kitchen that have only one purpose.

    Love this list. I also avoid fragrances, and paper goods lol paper plates, napkins, plasticware, and paper towels where possible.😅 plastic bags, but I haven’t quite jumped on the silicone train yet… mostly just use Pyrex😊
    Also premade breads, pastries and desserts. They are full of terrible things and I like how they taste homemade better anyway 😁

    I buy black and white socks for my kids I have 4 boys and the two younger boys one wears white socks and the other one wears black socks and I do the same with my two oldest boys, it makes it easier for me when sorting socks and knowing who's socks are who's.

    • @girlteachme
      @girlteachme  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that is so interesting, I never thought of how a bidet keeps you from having to buy toilet paper. Do you have to use some to dry off? So fascinating! And I bet you save so much on paper products!

    Yes for coconut oil for lube if needed but as I’ve cleaned up my eating and body it’s not really needed.
    I’ve given up all the scented things and same thing with trash bag getting me when pregnant too.
    I gave up news paper and any magazine subscriptions
    Gave up Apple phone storage monthly fee
    Cable and Netflix after they went woke
