- After becoming blind at the age of 10, Siew Ling lost her sense of hearing last year.
"A lot of times I feel that I am a burden to the people around me even though no one has said that."
For someone who has lost the two main means of communication, Siew Ling struggled at first, but has now found support in her friends and family.

Siew Ling is a real inspiration. For many of us managing our own hardships in life, our problems are but a drop in the bucket and pale in utter comparison to hers. She serves as a constant reminder for how much we take for granted in our lives.

I feel very sorry for this girl in a way I know what it’s like I lost a large part of my vision at age 21 around the same time while I was in the blind school I had a loss of hearing infection and loss hearing on my left side so my hearing was affected and my vision was affected it was very hard. A few years ago I lost my parents I have no siblings and my family that I do have left really doesn’t even want to be in my life it seems and I have no idea why. I am very alone too it’s hard to not have anyone I have a very good friend that I rely on and I am very scared that she will have to leave and I don’t know what I will do.
I cannot imagine being totally blind and losing all of my hearing I just could not imagine how hard that would be I recently lost more vision and to not have any hearing or site would be very difficult.
I think this girl should look into getting a guard dog for the deaf blind

He looked into getting a guide dog for the deaf blind? The dogs are trained to use sign language instead of speech leader dogs for the blind in the US has them and they do take out of country people.
