She Can't See or Hear. How Does She Learn?

  • Deafblind children and adults are often invisible. They are often mistaken as emotionally or intellectually challenged. In some rural parts of India, they are even branded as a curse from the gods.
Sense India has been working with deafblind people in India, like Sneha, since 1997.
Working in 23 states through a network of 57 partner NGOs, it affects the lives of more than 71,500 deafblind people, taking them from isolation and neglect to communication, interaction, self-esteem and self-sufficiency.
Sense helps families stay together by giving them skills to communicate, helps society and families recognise that deafblind children and young adults are much more than their disabilities and when given access to the right resources, can be contributing members of society and the economy.
Sense seeks to break taboos and ignorance around deafblindness and wants to reach out to many more of the half a million deafblind population in India.
    ____________
Help Sense India educate 150 more deafblind children like Sneha in the video at www.globalgiving.co.uk/project...

Maybe she was like that since very young age and her parents must have sought some treatment but nothing happened i guess. Her parents are very kind people. The truth I understand, I understand how hard it must be not to see, not to hear, to have that my life would be very different from what I have today, possibly I could not have done many things if I had those difficulties, but what if I am surely there will always be people close to me who will always help me, that's why I understand you, you also have loved ones who love you and who will always support you.

Blindness seperates a person from objects. Deafness seperates a person from people. I have never heard such a backwards way of thinking. People's lack of willingness to accommodate is what seperates a person from people. DeafBlind people have multiple forms of communication. The most well known way is the Print On Palm method, but the more accessible method is Protactile Sign Language. But there are multiple other ways to communicate with a DeafBlind person. It just requires for open-minded thinking. I hope these people educate themselves.

Life for them is not okay i see vlogs of a blind person his life is too hard. Its like people who has watched pk movie of amir khan wherr he is an alien and can understand by touching hand, imagine other humans have that abitlity but u dont your life will be very hard because u wont fit in it. Being blind is very hard. Even if rhey are blind the only have 2 other senses, the most important is hearing she doesnt have that too. Its better for her to die gov ment should make this role the people who are born with too much difficulty and their parents dont want them at birth they ahould be killed as why make them suffer the child and the parents. The less it lives the less painful it is to die. And it is a better choice if any child has this much inability. Imagine her perpective she is litrelaly like an animal. When she wants to go anywhere she cant speak and cant see her. Its just the human blood that gives her the potential to do things but the senses she has doesnt allow her to do anything. If she didnt have an human brain she would be an animal its very rude to say this, but i just wanted to say what i think i didnt mean to disrespect her at all.
