In regards to slow, long-range torpedoes, let me quote Murphy's War Laws: "It's not the bullet with your name on it that you have to worry about; it's the one addressed 'To Whom It May Concern'."

Don't know if it counts but I'm sure some Cvs have 30kt torps or close to it.
Because they can be the single most annoying torps in game when dropped from straight behind, you can almost out run them but if you turn your probably losing rudder or engine and will just get slapped broadside by the next set.

(mk1, though at the entry of the war the mk5 was no better at 27.0 knots)

It kind of looked like a Yorktown with the deck consistent across the ship. Add of Lexington’s early surface guns and yeah. It looks like a CV.

Uhm, actually, Jingles. Prince Heinrich A hull indeed has the 88 mm secondary guns, but the B hull, which is obviously being used here, has 105 mm ones instead.
Also, 15" can overmatch Seattle, and Black torpedoes are way slower at 43 knots.

@@mommafriedrichderogen7209 think I've had one sinop close quarters medal, iirc you need to be a little too broadside to get them working.
They did save me from a super low hp dd though, so they are not useless, just not strategically viable imo.
@@mommafriedrichderogen7209 It has quite few secondary guns, and they're not too bad, so if you have some points to spare on your captain, they migth give some value.
However, they don't have the angles to fire from your standard nose-in position, and the Sinop is a little clumsy for a brawler. Not an ideal build, but could be fun!😊
Heinrich secondaries are actually really good. Once you upgrade the hull, you get 105mm secondaries, instead of the 88 mm ones Jingles talked about, and the range and accuracy is best in tier!😊

aerial torpedos only have trouble in the last mile delivery. On average they are pretty speedy

Awesome!! Thanks for the feature! To be fair, the secondaries might be better than what they are showing in this game, this was my first game with the ship to try it for fun, so I just put a random commander in it which was not built for secondaries. ;) I got lucky on a couple of those kills but yeah... german dispersion sucks haha

Actually Jingles, the USS Black has the slowest torpedoes in game at 43 knots and several low tier destroyers have sub-50 knot torpedoes.

The USS Black is 43 knots, and the USS Sims is 49 knots. So much like the new German Navy DDs they all sit nicely in 3rd place for the slowest torpedoes.
I guess there is definitely a precedent to add a Double Kraken award

The 88mm secondaries and triple torp launchers are only one the STOCK hull of the Heinrich... on the upgraded hull it gets quad launchers AND the 88's become 105's, which with the German 1/4 pen rate actually work, making the Heinrich an actually proper brawler.

Sigma isn't vertical dispersion, it's the variability within the dispersion limits based on some loose normal distribution curve. It's an ellipse mostly in the horizontal direction. There are hidden vertical dispersion values, but nobody really talks about them unfortunately. Not sure if I can post links here, but the WoWs wiki is accurate on this to my knowledge
