Angelica I will bet it was an honor and a very cool thing to have Daimler invite you to check out and drive the electric truck Driving an electric truck was a real different experience for you from a regular gas/diesel version Very cool to see you driving it out on the test track and I did notice it was a lot quieter drive. That Frigoblock refrigeration unit I would imaging that was powered off of the trucks batteries. I also saw the different side view mirrors inside the truck running off of cameras outside, probably for aero reasons and for a quieter drive too without the wind noise from hitting the outside mirrors. You could very well be the next spokesperson for selling electric trucks, but you love your day job very much and I do not think that will happen anytime soon. Indeed the battery range is very short, but for city use it is perfect. Each battery generation the charge is getting better range and distance out of the batteries. Very cool seeing you doing this in this video with maybe more of these in the future. 👍 For a great video and keep them coming when you can.

I will add that my grandfather (who died about 1920, before I was born) had a bakery business in NYC and had several Baker electric trucks. There were no diesel trucks then, and gas trucks and the gas at that time were not a good idea with baked goods unless you like the smell of gas on your bread and cakes. These used the battery tech of the time, flooded lead acid cells, and were charge up overnight for morning deliveries. Range was quite limited but Brooklyn was small and they served their purpose, traffic also moved very slow so they were right at home. They were cheaper to operate than the alternative, horses. I might add that after he died the new owners retained those trucks thru the depression and WW2 where they came in handy since gasoline was scarce. I remember seeing them as a young boy during and shortly after the war years. This truck looks ready for market, when will they be for sale and how does the price compare with a diesel truck? You sure make a good spokesman (spokeswoman??) for this product, even if I wasn't interested in trucks you're nice to look at.

Hydrogen has a lot of advantages in comparison with electric drive, but one huge disadvantage. A fuel cell needs absolutely clean air. I'm sure the battery packs have heat pumps and insulation. Although that would greatly reduce the range. Don't quote me on this. I know tesla model 3s have heat pumps and a preheating feature. Merc probably have something similar
The future is Hydrogen.... the only way to save the planet... battery can only be a solution between... but where is the engergy coming from to charge them? Atomic Power Plants? Coal?? Gas?????
Wow, what a super quiet Mercedes Benz new Actros truck! Although I don't have a driving licence and I can't drive because of my epilepsy, I am sure this truck will be good for truck drivers who want to drive an electric truck like this. Hope that this Mercedes Benz Actros electric truck will be launched soon in Singapore.
Thank you for sharing the information about this e truck. Looks like the future for cars and trucks will be energy efficient electric vehicles. I drive a hybrid Lexus and love it. Just have to get use to it being so quiet when you start it up. Angelica you are such a delightful young women. Be safe, be happy. Hugs from this old man from Utah.
🇸🇪 I Angelica hope you are well. Philip thinks you needed to adjust your mirrors a little.with the electric it is so quiet so it should be less stressful with it been so quiet.when it is fully charged does it just knock off.so our Angelica can sleep in. Keep healthy and keep safe philip. Nice to see you phil.
Your smile is so cute, when You drive on the Mercedes test track. How fast was the Actros? Lookßs like over 100 km/h..... Well done girl, and have a good time! from Germany ALL the best! Bernhard😘😉😎
Very interesting Angelica, think the payload of the batteries and range is its only downfall. The bottles with pink liquid looks like expansion bottles for the water cooling of the engine, but its got no engine?
Cooling system is for both cooling and heating the battery pack, not the electric engine. If the battery pack gets too hot the power will be reduced to protect the battery, and if the battery pack gets too cold it reduces battery capacity plus you are not able to charge as fast as if the temperature is good. Teslas and more or less all other electric cars has a cooling system to keep the battery pack temperature under control.
probably for several loops of thermal control. teslas have several also. Powerful motors need cooling too, battery needs thermal control (up and down, they do not like being cold or hot) and the cabin heater needs to steal heat from one of those, or it often is electric, and the cabin ac must have somewhere to dump heat.
Whoa! Hi Angelica 👋 You get to have all the fun! Have to say it's a very clean fuel station isn't it? I'd miss the whistle of the turbo 😙 And the Jake's though.😔😋😁😀

This was the best promotional video I've ever seen. You were awesome as always and your E truck was cool too. I really liked the test track and the tilted corner. I can understand why you've had a great day and Mercedes was indeed kind to invite you this event. Excellent and very informative video from a true professional. Keep up the fantastic job, your channel is my favourite on TH-cam. Have a nice week and stay safe dear Angelica. :)
Hello Angelica !!! Thanks for this video, it was very informative about the electric big truck. This is the future, yesterday I watched a video on TH-cam made by Mike and Matt from Dirt Perfect about a new Volvo electric excavator and an electric wheel loader and it was very informative. Looked like that you had fun and enjoyed your trip to Germany. Your an amazing gal and so pretty and I will be looking for more of your videos. So be careful and stay safe and keep on trucking. As always, Jeffrey !!!
Who better to be a model/spoke person for your product. Not only can she tell you about it, but looks good doing so. Impressive vehicle!, was there any load in the back, or just the vehicle?
Very interesting. Like you im impressed with EV, I think it will be many years before they are available to heavy haul. Its becoming more comon to see EV here In US as a large retail has started using them.
It is always nice to get to try the newest toys. Been wondering about those camera mirrors. Cleans up the outside . Hope you keep getting the chance to explore new equipment.
already seen one irishman reporiing that those may flash buggily when confronted with some led car lights... probably softwere bug, fixable. but i do not like soft bugs in mirrors :D
How safe would it be to charge it if it is raining or snowing heavily ? What about the effects that the charging stations have on the environment ? I wasn't paying attention to hear if it started, I was listening to your angelic voice.
It safe, the power is switched on only after the plug is connected. The only effect the station has on the environment is that it consumes energy which must be generated somewhere.
Angelica great video, the truck looks good, but nothing beats the sound of a V8 engine, I'm old school. Well thanks for the video and stay safe. Until next video.
Yeah i am not against Electro Cars but i hate that its forced on us all. What about those who like Motorsport, and now dont tell me we should drive emotionless Electirc Cars. V8 needs to survive.
@@phoenixsui why if it works with Electric why stick to expensive Diesel Thats just A Fools Game. AND yes If Motorsport is to survive we need the Electric it s the last Thing that sjal go on Fossil fuels. but i think i am Trying to convine somone that Cant get it that Electriv Veeicles work just as fine.....
@@henryostman5740 I personally like the sound of the diesel engines, I 6 or V8s. But nothing beats the sound of a Scania V8, DD and cats sound good, but my heart goes to the V8.
@@PierreSimonsson they may work the same as the diesel/gas engines, but in the case of this truck it takes 1 hour to charge from 66% to 80%, how long it takes to fill a gas thank of diesel/gas? Also the mining of the minerals used in the production of the batteries is very unfriendly to the environment, and this minerals are not sustainable, like the oil. But personally I think hybrid will be a better option, electric on city, low loads and gas for heavy loads and long trips.
Interesting video. For me who has no knowledge on trucks, this E-truck seem to have low range but as you said in the video it can work well within the city. The batteries add 3 ton on weight but maybe this is compensated by no longer needing a heavy? diesel engine and it should not impact loading capacity. If this e-truck can be the answer for within the city, specially with possible need to charge it, i'm not sure. Lets hope so however, it should be removing some of the air pollution in large cities. Thanks for sharing this video.

Not bad Angelica. Glad you got to go do some more cool stuff. I saw the video of your other truck test. The one with the snowmobile. Fun stuff! The electric vehicles are super quiet. That’s good they have a beeper. I’m pretty partial to diesel, but these will be coming soon enough. Haven’t seen many in the US yet. Thanks for the details on it. Charge time is pretty quick, and the range seems pretty good. I would suppose they have really good torque for pulling. I’ll look up the specs. I wonder how it’d be under load and snow like at lastbillsstation. I like that truck combination. Plus your backing skills with those are really good But I love your hook truck that you can switch the beds out on. Your winter truck you ran last year. But with this truck, like you said, It,d be a great trash truck for the cities. Nice and quiet. Thanks again and glad you had fun. Be blessed! You’re on the right path for the future!! Great video Angelica 😁💋👍Allan from Canada 🇨🇦
Ah, I've been thinking of that too 😊 not sure if it would work up in Northern Sweden too, only short distances 😃
You are so awesome your a good driver. I'm just going to my driving job in about an hour 4717km round trip delivering groceries to the Yukon in Canada 🇨🇦 🙃 the snow is just starting to fall in the mountains know have a good and safe day Allan 😀
Coal?? Gas?????
where im driving, trucks are 34meters and they re on drive 24hrs a day and 6 days a week. And temperature gets to -30-40 celcius
looking good ANGELICA. only thing missing is a REAL truck. for real work.
Angelica enjoy watching your videos.
You are a good demonstrator Angelica. The perfect person for the job
Angelica is a rock star!
Angelica 🇸🇪 philip really likes the electric truck is it auto matic. It looks Awesome phil. 🇬🇧
Another great video. You were born to drive , no matter what goes your always happy. I’m a proud subscriber.
Thank you 😊🙏
Future of trucking. Will catch on in Europe before North America.
Always great to hear your pretty voice Beautiful thank you for sharing always great to see you😄lots of love stay safe.
Very cool and its going to be alot to get used to but don't think they are ready for over the road yet . Stay safe and healthy
Great video. I think I would be constantly looking for an outside mirror.
Thanks for sharing this video! I to would prefer the outside mirrors. It would take me a while to get use to the monitors.
Thumbs up! Another fun, interesting video from our favorite trucker.
Having fun with the New truck 🚚
Angelica and Merc = perfect match.
I was wondering how electric trucks perform.
Mercedes knew who would best present their work 😁💜
Stay safe 🙂
Great move by Mercedes...... She is a great Ambassador...
This day ended with a perfect evening seeing Angelica Larsson driving a electric truck, how epic is that......Hugz from Denmark 🙂
Your smile is so cute, when You drive on the Mercedes test track.
How fast was the Actros? Lookßs like over 100 km/h.....
Well done girl, and have a good time! from Germany ALL the best! Bernhard😘😉😎
Mercedes chose the most beautiful presenter :) Greetings from Poland :)
😊🙏
вы там все русофобы...
That was cool Baby
I love that you
were the first
to drive that
Electric truck
🌹🌹❤🌹🌹🇺🇸.
Very interesting Angelica, think the payload of the batteries and range is its only downfall. The bottles with pink liquid looks like expansion bottles for the water cooling of the engine, but its got no engine?
Exactly! And that's the water that heats up the cabin! 😃
@@AngelicaLarsson Ahh, was wondering bout the liquid. Thought it funny that its all electric and you still have to lift the cab by hand lol. 💪
You did Mercedes proud! Always a pleasure to see your videos!
Thanks 😃🙏
Every truck company would be blind and stupid, not to let talented and awesome Angelica Larsen , testing and presenting stuff of the transport business, especially future leading ones...
Well done Angelica I see you are doing your bit for the environment👍🏻🇬🇧
Good evening Angelica. How was your week? This is a very impressive truck you got to test drive. Maybe soon we will see you driving an electric Mercedes on your channel. You look beautiful as always 😍 💕. Stay safe and warm dear. Love you 😍 💗 💓 💛
This was the best promotional video I've ever seen.
Angelica, muito boa a reportagem, goste de toda a tecnologia apresentada, parabens!
Loved the eTruck and your channel... Best always.
The prettiest 💗 most 💖 wonderful woman 👩 in the entire universe ✨
Next generation of trucks. You done a good job of presenting the truck. 😉👍
Great video again Angelica thanks for sharing, it looks like a really impressive truck, glad you enjoyed the experience, take care and stay safe 👍.
Thank you 😃 you too!
Do you know how long the battery life is and what do they do with the old batteries how do they dispose of them in a clean environmentally safe way
Ok, your intro to this made me think "HERREGUD ....Angelica is going NASCAR with a Scania!?!?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is pretty impressive to see, this truck is the future, and we are just in 2021. Thanks for sharing with us 😀. Have a nice week! 🤗😊
You too! 😊 thanks!
@@AngelicaLarsson Thanks 🤗
Truck?
Merci Angélique pour cette très belle vidéo 📼 📼 cool 😎 😎 de rouler dans le silence 🤫 ❤❤😘😘Fr
Looking good beautiful nice opportunity to drive their truck😘
I frankly think an I6 diesel sounds better, either a Cummins or an IH, even better a Cat.
I hope you enjoyed it here with us in southern Germany, I thought it was very nice to invite the sympathetic and most talented driver in Europe from Mercedes to come here (I myself come from southern Germany)
Kvinna I’ll watch this evening. At work now. Be blessed and hope all is well. Stay warm. And have great weekend! Tell folks hi too please.
I can’t wait for this stuff. The kidz are gonna be doing this soon enough.

Did you make a presentation for them as well while there. If so, great job! And is there going to be a video to see through their website? Thank you, and have a great week.
Hi Angelica. I’m just about to start my career in truck driving, really inspired by your videos. If there was one bit of advice you could give a woman who’s just starting out, what would it be? ☺️💕

You will have to be twice as good as the male drivers for them to consider you half as good as them. You will be watched wherever you go. I don't know why, and I wonder what their wives would think if they knew. Sorry, but it's true - well, it has been in my 25 years experience in the UK, but then again, we in the UK are still living in the dark ages compared with most of Europe.
Blessings to the most beautiful girl in Sweden. God bless you in your dangerous profession. A big hug from LA California my friend 🔥🔥🔥💝💝💝💎💎💎🙏🙏🙏🌹
Call me old-fashioned but I still believe diesel is the way to go love the videos
Thank you 😊🙏
The truck was amazing just like you. Stay safe and be well.
AWSOME TRUCK
You are so lucky to be able to look and test drive the future vehicles.
Beautiful day there to.
So good to see you posting another fantastic video, keep up the good work, lucky girl !!
Lovely music and a lovely truck driver😘🥰😍
This was a nice video to introduct a lot of drivers into electric vehicles. You did a great job with this one. It's nice to see you and other clothes besides work clothes have a good day thanks
Thank you 😊🙏
Not bad but I'm with you on the mirrors or lack of mirrors!
They would take a while to get used to, but i guess they wouldn't fog up !
The electric truck would have limited use here in Australia though.
Thanks for sharing and cheers from Sydney Australia 🇭🇲👍🦘🐨👍🇭🇲
