Keep the Vids coming legend! Would love to see some more on the nitty gritty of they way you are testing (like how you bracket, how you set goals for the day, what gets ya stoked). Would also love to see some training/race nutrition. Keep em coming!!
thanks, mate! some sick ideas right there. honestly this wasn't super crazy meticulous with the details. Planning on doing a video with Jake again along with Mark Scott on a proper suspension set up day later in the year. It'll be a cool one with data logging box and all the jazz.
Quality video. Seeing the process of dialing the bike in is really interesting too. I've ridden there a few times now and it looks different at them speeds! Look forward to future vids.
Jake definitely spinning up faster on the exits from complex sections, generally without pedalling, so that’s just weight, windage, wheels, tyres/pressure and bearing physics. Only about 6 interacting variables!
For the settings I got to it didn’t work as well as I had hoped. The little amount of kickback on the mega seemed to somehow help push back Into my feet and stopped my feet coming off the pedals on occasion. I’m going to try it again with clips. It definitely gives a move supple feel which normally correlated with better traction.
My sag comes in at 30% but it is on the soft side for a bike a lower progression %. I think 25 - 30% is good depending on rider speed and tape of terrain.
@@innesgrahambike tx I've got a cascade link to make the bike 155mm travel or 25 progression or 168mm travel and 17% progression ahah :) I guess gonna test it and see tx one more time PS the footage is great - one of the best POVs on YT
@@innesgrahambike sry, comments with URLs get removed on YT It's just a Trek Remedy cascade link - if you goggle it, it would easily show up with all the specs and the changes it applies to suspension of a bike
Hahaha it’s set up pretty progressive but also like I mentioned, the whole bike was set up for pretty average paced riding and coaching. We added a fair amount of pressure to that by the end of the day as the pace increased. I’m 73kg on a good day. 👊🏻

This is how fast I am in my head 🤣🤣🤣 Trail genius dude 🤙
ha ha! yeowww just out here loving it. cheers for tuning in!
That was a sick video! Pinned riding, and it was great hearing what you were feeling and what you changed. Gave me some ideas, thanks!
Stoked you gave it a watch! Cheers 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
jeeeez. How damned fast? You boys are F.A.F. Liking the series too.
Those last 2 runs were pure insanity man.... well played :D
👊🏻🙌🏻
That was absolutely mental!!! You"re a straight G Innes
Interesting to see the process. I use the Sagly app to record suspension settings - helps keep track of changes in a slightly more structured way.
I’d never heard of Sagly. It looks good! I’m pretty old skool though and like to scribble 🥹
Dude that second to last run was outrageous. Really enjoying your videos!
Thank you for checking the channel out!👊🏻🙌🏻

Fast and furious 😮
mint vid .mega gains lad keep it up
🤯🤯🤯 wow
Loving the channel Innes! Be interesting to see if you arrive at similar settings using some data acquisition.
insane pace like
Yess boys PACE!
Looks mind bendingly fast 🔥👍
😵💫
What a video 👌✊
Any thoughts on the air shock for the mega?
I'll for sure be keen to try it. I just have my coil sadly for now
Bloody hell, fast boys💪🤘🤘🤘
You prefer tubeless or inner tube tyres? Great video!
Here to feel slow 😅
You’re the fastest👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
I’m like the guy at the end of the first run flying out of the woods on his side 😅.
Hahaha oh man! In Bart’s defence it nearly killed me too
19:41 absolutely flying now, I kept getting lost when I rode there 😄 “you ain’t crashing, you ain’t trying” 🤪
Top vid 👊🏻
Were you clipped in for testing or on flats?
Just riding flats for now. I used power pedals by Garmin for my previous video though (if that’s what you mean)
@innesgrahambike looking backward, do you miss more progressive leverage of the Giga?
If I imagine riding as fast as I possible could and then double it you guys were going effing three times faster than that!
How do you find the mega compared to the Giga?
I ride mega 290 and I feel when I got faster bike came too life awesome video
That’s quite something from 14:10.
Aye Jake was defo setting the pace there hahaha

Why the mega over the giga any reason?
Innes what about Ochain? What are your thoughts ?

For this trails what tyre pressure you use?
🥰
bro that was fucking insane to watch wow
C’mon🥹🫶🏻 you da man
how much sag are you using?
I've got a Trek remedy with 17% progression also and was keen to know how the coil feels there
